Hi Barrie 👋 for many years, I frequently passed through this station when travelling between Sydney and Melbourne, and not once did my train ever stop. The announcement on the train in both directions would ask those wishing to alight here to advise the crew. I have wondered about the town history, and now I know. Thanks again for another lesson in railway history.
Hi John, I loved researching this one as I learned a lot also. It's amazing how much history is in such a small town. The station area was well kept and restored too. Thanks for watching
The Statiomasters house looks like the same design as the one in Dubbo NSW, very grand buildings of the period, also rabbit stew to be had near the SM's house! Are you sure the crane is 10 tons? Looks like the standard five ton hand crane to me Barrie. Great video of a lovely site. 😉👌
Hi Dave, I might make it out to Dubbo soon. That info on the crane was straight from the railway heritage info from the area. It looks like a five to me also, similar to Bungendore but who am I to argue. Peter Rabbit looking for some radishes. 👍😃
@@trainspottingwithbarrie Will soon tell you if I get a close up pic of that crane, outside major yards the majority, if not all, hand and gantry cranes from the steam era are 5 tons. Rug up if you come out this way, had some days days, and especially nights, of late.
Well done, thanks.
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it.
That ia a brilliant little doco thank you for your videos. 👍👌
Hi Joseph, I'm glad you enjoyed it. No problems. 👍
Brilliant video Barrie
Hi Mel. Thanks a lot. Glad you liked it.
