Yep. Being a type 2, I use raw, organic, no sugar added. But I don't overdo it. Also, I like raw cranberries right out of the bag to crunch and munch, washed ofcourse !
That's why it's so confusing. Not every dietician or so-called doctor says the same thing. Worst is some have conflicting views like this video. Most videos say cranberry juice helps your kidneys function better and now this doc said its almost useless for kidney health.
Unfortunately, these types of doctors do not want to support anything that doesn’t top up their wallets. Cranberry juice is absolutely amazing for kidneys, hands-down.
Raw cranberry juice is amazing for kidneys. Anybody that says it’s not doesn’t contain the proper information. Cranberry juice has helped many people I know with kidney issues.

Repent, and believe in the gospel.”” Mark 1:14-15
I love cranberry juice!!! Within a week of drinking cranberry juice, my urge to pee in the middle of the night stopped! Also, the number of times during the day reduced dramatically!
I been diagnose for hypoglycemia a low blood sugar. I want to drink this juice cranberry, but im afraid for my blood sugar. If this is safe to drink has a low blood sugar?
@kimmock2892 - Variety. Mix it up. Try it one way one day; the next day, try cranberry another way. I have Chronic HypOglycemia. It’s not as much fun as you think it might be. Ironically, I handle my Low Blood Sugar, the same way as you treat your Diabetes - well, almost. I don’t have to take shots of Insulin, but I do have to avoid sugar. If I eat sugar, my pancreas goes into overdrive. Then my pendulum swings, and I end up with my blood sugar going too low. Rather than riding the pendulum, I am better off staying somewhat in the middle of.
Been diagnosed with stage two CKD, how come i stay so cold. I am 72 years old but the feeling cold has gotten worse. My skin is even cold to the touch. I understand that being cold is a symptom of CKD, dut what causes it. Your channel has helped me a lot. THANKS.
You're probably anemic, ( low hemoglobin )....have your doc check the labs.... and ask if it's ok to try a supplement.... get the ones that are gentle on your intestines or you will get constipation....ask your doc for a nutritional consult.... confirm if you can eat a small apple/day....watch your labs: Albumin, Sodium, Potassium, Blood Urea Nitrogen, ( BUN ), and Creatine levels.. eGFR, Phosphorus levels....if you live in the USA, your doctor's office may have access to yout patient portal, so you can access your medical records and lab results...also the lab where you did your blood draw will have access to your reports....it's good to educate yourself and be proactive in your health care management.... have a family member or discuss with your doctor.... make a list of Questions everytime you visit your doctor....Hope it helps.... I am a retired critical care nurse..... Edit: see Dr.. Sten Eckberg and Dr. Berg's channel on YT also ....they explain things well...
Sometimes a person just wants to find things they can safely eat drink AND enjoy. I use to enjoy a cup of hot cranberry juice or crab-cherry juice with cinnamon. My primary tells me my kidneys are operating at 38%. I won’t be seeing a specialist or dietician for 5 weeks and the internet has a ton of contradictory info. I would love to eat and drink in ways that could bring restoration, but I also want to know if I can safely enjoy this treat.
Sir namaste yam frm India Cranberry juice is not available in India. but dry cranberries are available in India. can I drink dry cranberry juice or eating dry cranberry for uti sir ?
@proudtobeindian530 - Yes, eat dried cranberries - they are delicious in a salad! They help my mother and myself fight UTIs. Don’t listen to this doctor.
Juice of anything is not so good for health. Yes, eating raw craneberry ,about half a small bowl certainly helps in both kidney, liver and heart even ay the age of 80+. One need to be regular for atleast two months. Amen
I just know the pain I associate with my kidneys because it occurs most commonly after I've drank teas and sodas too much, clears up the next day after a couple of glasses of Cranberry juice. I've just assumed it was the astringent nature of the drink irritating the kidneys to get off their ass and do their job. ;) I also drink a tea made by steeping raw chicory root in boiled water to relieve heartburn. Pretty sure its the bitterness but roasted chicory doesn't work. I'm of the opinion most of the natural remedies that work do so by mildly irritating the organs. Like Epsom salt solution or magnesium citrate to move a constipated bowel.
Last year in June, I got kidney pain while returning home from California. 911 took me to the nearest Emergency clinic and they found a stone in my left kidney. Got some Tylenol to kill the pain and came home. I watched UA-cam and a doctor was advised lemon juice for kidney stone. I started squeezing two lemons in water everyday and within two weeks I passed the stone easily. Never saw my doctor. A year later, last week, I did my blood work and asked my doctor to check find out about my kidneys too. The blood report came and my kidneys were functioning normal.
Thank you Dr for that info! My Brother was just diagnosed with stage 3CKD, he’s been drinking diet cranberry because he a diabetic. I’m wondering can it hurt him to drink a cup or 2 a day?
I can get 100% organic cranberry juice in grocery stores, Walmart, drug store. It is unsweetened, really really unsweetened! Hard to drink as sour but it's the best way with no sugar.
Absolutely works for preventing UTI, not curing one though. I had chronic UTIs due to hydronephrosis in my kidneys with retention. I was on antibiotics every month or two. Then I got serious about taking cranberry pills and I rarely get an infection now (4 years). If I get too busy and forget to take them for a few days that's when I get one. Doctors as this guy treat me like a loon. They don't want you to confuse your Google search with their Ego (I mean medical degree).
@ralphchristianson - Cranberry juice works for me, as well as my mother (regarding UTIs). Please remember, everyone is different. The more I listen to this doctor, the more I think that he doesn’t know what he is talking about. But then, some doctors just don’t like their patients telling them what works.
Try juicing whole veggies and fruits, it has no added sugars. Everyone has a blenders use it to start. Water & add your favorites. Start with your favorite veggies & fruits. I started with Carrots and apples.
Intermediate fasting is really effective. For example you could eat blueberries for breakfast, steak and salad for lunch and skip supper. You could also fast. If you know your going out with friends on a certain day then fast the day before to earn your meal. Three meals per day is completely unnecessary for good health.
Organic Cranberry juice preferably not from concentrate, WITH NO ADDED SUGARS. It's an aquired taste and I cut mine with spring water.
i add stevia
Yep. Being a type 2, I use raw, organic, no sugar added. But I don't overdo it. Also, I like raw cranberries right out of the bag to crunch and munch, washed ofcourse !
Variety. That’s the secret. Mix it up.
This is not true. The organic cranberry juice without sugar helps the kidneys. It helped me.
That's why it's so confusing. Not every dietician or so-called doctor says the same thing. Worst is some have conflicting views like this video. Most videos say cranberry juice helps your kidneys function better and now this doc said its almost useless for kidney health.
Drink moderately, cranberries are high in oxalic acid that starts kidney stones
It helped me too…this is paid
Can I ask one day drink how many litres of cranberry juice
@@euniceyeokoh5772 you only need 8 ounces per day. Cranberry powder works also...

How many cranberries a day

I'm beginning to wonder just what is the purpose this doc's videos
To make money from UA-cam. As simple as that.
Great advice Dr, thank you.

False. Pure cranberry helps
As a type 1 diabetic, I’ve been taking cranberry juice for lows instead of OJ or grapefruit juice. What do you suggest?
Use only the organic raw, no sugar added. I never get UTI anymore.

Get thyroid checked. Kidneys & thyroid affect one another.
CKD causes low iron which can make you feel cold, maybe you should get your iron level check.
I am at the clinic every three months and they check all different kinds of things.

There’s lots of kidney disease, as a doctor, you should say what sort of kidney trouble you are talking about. So it’s a thumbs down for me
thanks DR❤️👍

So basically what you're saying is cranberries are more or less just a treat 🤨
