What are some of your unpopular opinions?!
Can’t get into the barrel leg jeans, capri pants, see through mary Jane’s, bows, flower petals, the list goes on. So many of these things I only ever see online and never IRL.
Ooh those are some good ones. Capris and barrel jeans really need to go away!
I agree with most things but I think what is flattering depends on someones bodytype.

Apple shape here too, and imo skinnies just emphasize how large by stomach is. Straight leg jeans balance me out visually.
With age I am no longer fashionable, because I have a woredrobe full of nice clothes and I won't throw them away just to buy new ones

Oh my goodness, Marlene. I love your honesty! I am in my 40's and 5'6" as well. I couldn't agree with you more with these silly trends, especially the shackets and the upside-down bikini tops 😂. I do, however, appreciate the Birkenstocks and clogs as they are very comfortable to wear.

Birkenstocks , clogs , Crocs , etc. are really not trends as they've been around for decades ! It seems that when a younger generation " discovers " something , it becomes " on trend " . As a boomer , trust me when I say that so much of what is old is new again ! 😂

I'm so with you sister...kick flare looks like I shrunk my jeans. Ugly shoes are ugly! The famous Hollywood 3 word stylist introduced the "wrong shoe theory " Unpopular opinion...it's the wrong shoe and looks silly! 🙌

I agree, who cares what Gen Z thinks or does. Millennials & Gen X are mostly the ones with professional careers, families, and lives that extend past school, partying, & social media.
I also can't get into cropped pants. As a 5'10" woman, it just reminds me of "high waters", which I battled until I found companies that made extra long/tall bottoms.
And thank you for confirming that we should all wear what fits our bodies best, and not necessarily what is "on trend". My build actually does look best in a fitted or skinnier pant, and I refuse to give them up. They just flatter my curves and height so well!!! ❤😊💖

I don’t like kick flare jeans. It just looks wrong to me. I do have a shacket. But I don’t wear it often. And I live in the country. They’re good when it’s chilly. I do own some crocs. I wear them on our land only. Never out in public. But I don’t own ugly shoes. And I’m in my 60’s. But I still know how to dress. I guess I’m a baby boomer. But I enjoy your channel. And will keep watching.
A shacket in the country totally makes sense. Some trends just don’t translate to everyone, everywhere. I saw a UA-camr recently say she hated the cowboy boots trend (which I love). She was in a big city tho, so it doesn’t make sense whereas I’m in Arizona, so it totally does! I can’t wait for the kick flare jeans to go away, glad to hear I’m not alone in that. @@LifewithMar Lifetime true country , horse person here - cowboy boots have always been admired , copied & worn by non-cowboy / cowgirl folks which is fine . But with true horse people , we can immediately tell who is " real " , what area of farming / ranching / horse showing , etc. the wearer is by what & how the boots , jeans , hat , jacket , etc. are worn . Imitation is flattering , right ? 🐎💙

I agree with everything you said except for the ugly shoes. I’ve been wearing them for years now and it’s been the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve worn. It’s just the hypebeast trend that was horrendous to me. Those stupid foamy shoes need to go.
