I love this video! I didn't realize I needed this video, but this is SOOOOO helpful for some upcoming parties this summer where I DON'T want to be in a swimsuit, but didn't see it as an opportunity to wear a beautiful, summery "resort vibe" dress until I watched this video. I would likely have dreaded picking out an outfit and wouldn't have felt cute. I'm definitely more excited for my upcoming get togethers and thinking about different hot weather, pool party options that will make me feel beautiful and not weird for not wanting to swim in the pool. People that get in the pool are always trying to coax everyone else to "get in and join them!" 😅 It's annoying, but I get it, I've been there. Just not interested this season and I'll be looking pretty while I politely refuse and lounge by the poolside 🤣

I love low rise! I have a short torso so high rise jeans dwarf me.

I love bubble hems on people with a more petite frame and sort of an ingenue vibe about them, but it's not for me. I will still do low rise jeans now and then, but it 100% depends on the top I'm wearing with them.

I actually don’t mind the capri pants but only under 1 condition … and that it has to be athletic wear. Really not a fan of capri jeans 😅

The capri pants have only come back in high fashion circles. I don’t think they will trickle down to real life. The ones I see are the old ladies still wearing the actual capris they never stopped wearing. Low rise not practical for most bodies. But if the young girls can wear it they can go for it! 😂

Dress over jeans- HARD PASS!! I’m a pretty sassy, 50ish, fashion lover & I say pick the dress or pick the jeans. Both just screams “fashion trend attention seeker”… Plus, this can’t be very comfortable.

I ordered two pairs of super skinny jeans and can't wait to try them on. Slim or skinny jeans unfortunately don't fit me. I wear the smallest size and they still bunch at my legs. Hoping these super skinnies will fit. I can't live without leggings or skinny jeans! Thanks for the video.

What are some things that make you feel frumpy in your outfits?

You have to update your wardrobe even if it isn’t a capsule wardrobe. I have smaller capsule wardrobes for each season and for each aspect of my lifestyle, which is mostly, but not entirely, stay at home. I have recently realized the need to proportion the size of each lifestyle segment, based upon actual need and usage. Hannah Louise Poston gives great advice on how to do these portions on a UA-cam vlog . As a “ color chameleon” my own capsule wardrobe is made of smaller color modules within the larger wardrobe that also include a neutral or two , but is not limited to just black, white and gray. Actually, I don’t have any pieces in black or gray. And my white is more of a warm white. My neutrals are in the tan through browns family, as well as with what I call almost neutrals, like olive green and denim blue. I then add a colorful accent color to each outfit most of the time, though some days I feel like just wearing a tonal monochromatic outfit, depending upon my mood. While the all neutrals look may be easy to mix and match, and it’s fine for some, it would bore me to tears ! Give me colors, please ! There is such joy in them ! And they can work just fine in a mix and match wardrobe that has clusters or modules of about. 5-8 pieces for each cluster - 2 bottoms, 2 toppers, and 3 - 4 tops . Not all of the clusters shall work together , but with some planning, enough do to provide an abundance of outfits. I’m thrilled to use my version of a capsule wardrobe - tons of outfits for fewer garments !

I really needed this video. They had one left in Canada and apparently Prada is not making these that often anymore. I was debating between this and the LV 6 ring keyholder - I have had this before and it has aged SO badly (chips to the exterior button and offcourse glazing!) Prada doesn't have either of those issues. Can you please confirm that the sides all look good? some reviews talked about the saffiano leather also chipping off.

Oh my goodness, Marlene. I love your honesty! I am in my 40's and 5'6" as well. I couldn't agree with you more with these silly trends, especially the shackets and the upside-down bikini tops 😂. I do, however, appreciate the Birkenstocks and clogs as they are very comfortable to wear. Thank you for this video! It was entertaining to watch while at the same time a reminder of the obvious. 😊

I agree with everything you said except for the ugly shoes. I’ve been wearing them for years now and it’s been the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve worn. It’s just the hypebeast trend that was horrendous to me. Those stupid foamy shoes need to go.

I don’t like kick flare jeans. It just looks wrong to me. I do have a shacket. But I don’t wear it often. And I live in the country. They’re good when it’s chilly. I do own some crocs. I wear them on our land only. Never out in public. But I don’t own ugly shoes. And I’m in my 60’s. But I still know how to dress. I guess I’m a baby boomer. But I enjoy your channel. Millennials & Gen X are mostly the ones with professional careers, families, and lives that extend past school, partying, & social media. I also can't get into cropped pants. As a 5'10" woman, it just reminds me of "high waters", which I battled until I found companies that made extra long/tall bottoms. And thank you for confirming that we should all wear what fits our bodies best, and not necessarily what is "on trend". My build actually does look best in a fitted or skinnier pant, and I refuse to give them up. They just flatter my curves and height so well!!! ❤😊💖

Can’t get into the barrel leg jeans, capri pants, see through mary Jane’s, bows, flower petals, the list goes on. So many of these things I only ever see online and never IRL.

I'm so with you sister...kick flare looks like I shrunk my jeans. Ugly shoes are ugly! The famous Hollywood 3 word stylist introduced the "wrong shoe theory " Unpopular opinion...it's the wrong shoe and looks silly! 🙌

If you buy/invest in $600 sneakers, why not wipe them down after every use? even for a daily shoe. its not that hard. walking around with dirty beat white sneaker is a terrible trend I don't understand.

I bought the sweatpants and love them!!! I ended up ordering the matching fleece jacket, a SS body suit, wide leg trousers and a white tee. Hopefully those are all just as comfy

I own a Saint Laurent wallet on a chain in pink. I don’t carry it very often. It’s a very heavy bag. It could be the chain. But I love the Cassandre . My bag is long and it is thinner. It has slots for cards. But it doesn’t fit much more. It’s a pretty bag. And I’ll be keeping it. I bought mine preloved and it had the authenticity card with it. My husband wouldn’t let me buy a bag unless I knew it was authentic.

I agree with you that not everyone can wear a center part and look their best I love a side part!!! Shallow or Deep, I feel pretty wearing it either way 💁🏼‍♀️❤

I love some of these lounge sets, because I LIVE in lounge wear! I really liked the set that has a stylish short sleeve sweater top and was offered in options with pants or shorts! Unfortunately, with me being 5'10", most pants are not nearly long enough, even when they are sold as a "tall or long" inseam. I got SOOOOO excited when you showed the powder blue set that was really long and you said it drags in the floor.... That means it might be long enough for me!!!! Side note: for any other ladies that are between 5'9"and 6'6" tall, I've gotten nice lounge pants from a company called American Tall. I'd suggest checking them out. (Not sponsored, lol)
