I love your style. Can i offer some advice, stretch out your touch ups because it looks like you didn't need to relax in this video. Don't add relaxer to the shaft and ends of your hair, it could be thinning to your hair. Just some advice with love.

Yeah, applying relaxer to previous relaxed hair is over-processing and can cause damage. I also think the timing should start from when you first start applying the relaxer, not after relaxer has been applied. Leaving the relaxer on can lead to over-processing.
This used to be me. All the things you did in this video. I developed contact dermatitis on my scalp and my hands get really rough in the winter time. The relaxer is very bad for your hands and disrupts your hormones. Btw, the kiddie relaxers are just as harsh as the adult ones. Love your energy though 💛.
Yes l agree you should only apply relaxer to New hair growth. Applying relaxer to hair that's already relax can damage your hair.
What makes her so unique and popular is that she is very relatable. She does everything on camera. She shows us everything. Nothing hidden. No shade, just real and authentic.

meauxgeesnails they are relentless and sad. If only everyone was as conscious about that diet as they are about hair we all might have less death due to hypertension and heart disease. I know some naturals who use so many chemicals with the hair dye they use but don't realize that makes them not natural too. People need to pull the planks out of their own eyes.

Obviously I don't need a hair relaxer tutorial, but I just recently found Fumi's wonderful channel, & I'm trying to watch all her older videos to catch up. I love her energy so much... I think I'd watch her trim her toenails if she made a video about it, lol!! Even though I know that alot of her videos aren't directed toward my specific needs, I still find so much that works, no matter what skin color or hair type you have. Her makeup tutorials & bra hacks are awesome, & her "Sister to Sister" videos share great life lessons that we all need to hear. Another big plus for me is that Fumi is only a few years younger than I am. I have a hard time taking advice from someone who really hasn't lived life yet, which is a problem with many of the beauty influencers out there. So glad I've found Fumi!! 😘

Fumi, you should base your already processed hair with grease. lots of it. Only leave the roots unbased. This will prevent double processing. Also, follow up with heavy protein and buy a neutralizing bottled shampoo because the pack doesnt have enough neutralizer to really stop the relaxer from processing. You need to wash the hair at least 3 times. Trust your hair will grow like crazy. I would suggest for longer hair do a lot of protein treatments (every time you wash your hair) and leave ins JUST for 2/3 months. Luster should have some. Protein shuld be in the 1st 5 ingredients. You're as fab as always.
Thank you darling for all of your FABULOUS tips.I already do follow up with heavy protein and neutralising bottled shampoo as well as washing my hair out 4 times. I do heavy treatments at least twice a week and sit in the Steam bath for about half an hour which has absolutely done wonders for my skin and hair. You also have to remember that this is a baby relaxer so it's very gentle and not as heavy duty as a regular relaxer. If so, I would have been bald by now in the 20 + years i've been using this relaxer. Smiling and waving. :))))
+Fumi Desalu-Vold all my tips aside, your hair looks really good as is. very dark, shiny and frizz free without a flat iron. I am looking into a hair wax because your hair looks so nice. What do you use to blow out your hair?
Thank u darling. Actually I use a fantastic hair dryer I got as a gift from my Uncle In-Law, it's from Sassoon. I always have it on 'low' and blow dry my hair with a brush. :)

I remember when I got my first relaxer and my mom didn't put anything around my edges and they burned off and I still have the bald spots, ugh I remember I cried so much

Stop perm shaming. I take very good care of my hair. Perming works for me. It offers the freedom of wearing my hair straight, curly or natural dry. Sometimes I wear textured wigs and an afro puff. Either way I still love my hair.

You should only do the new growth. Putting relaxer on previously relaxed hair can cause over processing and that can lead to breakage. We wouldn't want that my love! Those eyes are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥as always! 😊💅🏽

Your almost right with the application the basing of the full scalp and the edges is awesome, however the pulling it through the ends is a big no, that causes brittleness and drying. Your disulfide bond is already broken that’s the purpose of relaxing the hair. If you stop pulling it through to the ends and mid hair shaft you’ll see your hair grow and become softer over time. I love your aftercare . It’s also excel that your Using a kiddo relaxer very smart. I love you keep being fabulous my love. 😘.

I loved this episode. Brought back a lot of memories! I have locs now but growing up I used Pink Lustre Lotion all the time after relaxing my hair! I even remember using the same kiddie relaxer at least once :-)
I understand you. I stopped putting chemicals in my hair in 2001 and have never felt or looked more beautiful with my NATURAL HAIR. (I put box braids and took an extended Island vacation, when I came back I was loc'd😂) Every once in a while it's a pleasant trip down memory lane. These days in the States, there's a huge class action lawsuit for all the women with cancer from their relaxer choices. It's a sad reality.
