I demo rode the V4 and my butt accelerometer felt like it was about the same as my 1260 overall, with the 1260 a little stronger lower in the revs, the V4 stronger higher in the revs. That of course does match expectations. The 1260 is perhaps a little more fun, while the V4 is smoother and more refined. I’d choose the 1260 for shorter rides, the V4 for longer rides (if I had both).
I don't care whitch is a bit more fast but the 1260 is a thousant times more beautifull!!!
No
Off course, looks like a Ducati!!!
Love is blind and so is your sight judging by your post
Why looks so important you dont eve see it 😂😅
not if its compared to the PP, the queen.
So which bike is truly faster? Would love to see all your riders feedback on how the new Multistrada V4S compares to the 1260 by speed, performance, cornering, braking, comfort, sound, wind protection, etc.
THAT would be a very popular video given the interest I’ve seen for it. 👍
I own the 1260 enduro and I recently test rode the v4... Smooth engine, strong at higher revs, wasnt surprised by the power, i think the power delivery for the 1260 is im low revs vs the v4 in higher revs.... Didnt like the saddle on the v4 and the wind screen didnt cover properly in high position (i m 1,83m).....v4 smooth and a bit lighter feeling, wouldnt change the enduro for now
QUESTION : why a v4 ?? the twin worked pefectly well, less conso, more range, !!! so why ? i have the 2016 enduro model, 1200, i have 160 HP , and 500 kms range ! don't want to change for a V4 model, or give me a good reason !
I have to admit, I really prefer the twin motor over the v4 (at least with the Multistrada). The Panigale V4 is a much better bike than the twin version.
Do you find that the slip on is loud enough ? or do you recommend full system ?
The slip on system saves some weight and looks great. It’s about the same loudness as the stock exhaust.
Get the full termi it's awesome, with the race map, it's much more torquey, mid range is way stronger. Not too loud either... until you nail it. Then it's deafening 😁
ua-cam.com/users/shorts_NABGk2_mgk?feature=share ..loud?
I’m surprised it is such a small difference. I was expecting the new one to be much faster than the old.
I was also surprised. The V4 has a claimed 170hp compared to 162hp on the 1260. There was more of a noticeable difference off the line. The 1260 felt faster at that point. The V4 would then start to overtake around 20 mph and then accelerate slightly faster through the rev range.
@@TysonMoto Today I have a 1200S from 2017 and Im thinking to upgrade to 1260 (+2500€) or V4s (+10000€ ). What is your opinion, is the performance and comfort worth the price differance?
Only thing Im missing on my 1200S is the quickshifter, otherwise Im very satisfied with the bike.
@@biker_marinator5696 If you were to upgrade I would recommend the V4S. The 1260 is too small of a difference from your current bike.
Well im geting a H2Se
@@biker_marinator5696 the 1260 is a great bike, I swapped my 2013 1200, its way better in every way
Lol - cannot wait for some better weather! Was fun. I want to ride it myself to judge grin factor vs Pikes Peak w/full exhaust (which I think still wins vs V4S until the other Chris gets an exhaust system...)
Was fun for sure. Gotta do a PP Full Termi vs V4S Full Akra next time.
Think the first one Multis 1200 are the Fasters.
And not because I own I 2011 but the next models after 2013 are really too electronic.
Never riden a V4 but think can’t be more raw than the older 1200
I think my 16 1200 would smoke both of these... Termi, gears, tuned. Really woke it up.
I have a 1200 and a 1260, the 1200 has more low end torque (esp below 3500) but 1260 is quite a bit more powerful on the top end. Once you get above 6000 rpm the 1260 is untouchable.
Overall, though, I prefer driving the 1200 if I am just cruising around.
Bikes seemed to be pretty even. Slight advantage for the 1260. Full system termi adds a lot in mid range on the 1260. Equipment the bikes seemed to be equal which is good. Honestly this is A HUGE OPPORTUNITY MISSED! First side by side comparison and no commentary or analysis!
I am planning on doing a rematch with more commentary. I have since added a 14T front sprocket and now the competition should be much closer.
@@TysonMoto do the owners have 💵, if yes, get the test bikes with full exhaust upgrades 😉
I am riding also the 1260S Grand Tour and that weekend I could thest the new V4S. The new V4S is def. a fantastic bike but I liked much better the handling, the power, engine and sound of the 1260S.... I posted a video on my channel with a 360 Gopro Camera=)
I saw your video, that was awesome!
@@TysonMoto thanks man 😁
I, too, have the 1260S GT. On looks alone I absolutely love the appearance of my 1260 and think it is much more attractive bike than the V4, which just doesn't look as "visceral" as the previous model. Not sure if that's the best way to explain it, but I have no regrets of not waiting for the V4.
@@Inthewind24 same for me 😁
Nice save, at the end
1260 more beauty!!!!!!
don t you have a motorway for a speed comparison test ?
so barely a nat's nakkas between them then,
Try it with a s1000xr
Lol the bmw will smoke em!!
Wish it had the panigale v4 engine with at least 180hp.
Will be interesting to see how much power the full Akrapovic exhaust adds.
your wish came true. RS is coming.
@@SP-xd8gs telepathic comment 2 years later! M1000XR beats the RS and less expensive.
So main difference is still rider skills. exhaust will do nothing. Throw in a 43T rearsprocket on the 1260 and you will win.
Rider skill is definitey a dominant determinant of speed, but an exhaust absolutely will add performance when properly configured. For these rigs - a full system removes nearly 20 pounds alone, and with a Map update it’s a significant gain in power and response.
how about next time i being my Panigale V4S out, and my S1000XR :-) we line them all up
I like the S1000XR idea for sure. What year is yours?
@@TysonMoto 2020 - i traded my old Multi in on it. I've owned 5 Multi's over the last 15 years :)
I think the s1000xr will walk away from the v4.
@@reinhart482 yes, agree. The XR is in a category of its own. SuperBike on stilts
