In this video, we dive into the fascinating story of how three of The Beatles Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr reunited in 1994 for the Anthology project. But, in the early '90s, a groundbreaking collaboration took place, bringing the surviving members together to create new music and share untold stories.
We’ll explore how the Anthology project came to be, the technological breakthroughs that allowed them to work with John Lennon’s archival recordings, and how the trio recreated the magic of their iconic sound. Blue Moon of Kentucky was not a Lennon McCartney song. It was written in 1945 by Bill Monroe.
Right! 🤦 Smh
SPOT ON.
Yeah, that's a *BIG* flub in attribution. Geez.
Yeah, one of Elvis Presley's favorites...
@@DanRyan-hm2ir You are absolutely correct about that, as Elvis preformed it on the Nashville's Grand Ol' Opry stage during his audition in 1955! I don't think John & Paul had even met at that point in history, much less written an all-time classic song together 🙄
I love seeing photos of the three of them but it's sad at the same time.
The older gentleman featured in many of the photographs is record producer George Martin, who must have helped produce "The Beatles Anthology" and was the Beatles long-time record producer.
From Liverpool, England, alright der everyone, as John would probably say, they were & always will be the best band that ever played, not bad for 4 scousers eh?, I live 10 minutes away from Strawberry fields & John's old house on Menlove Avenue, when I pass these places, even I get a tingle & think of them with love, they put my city on the map & we are forever grateful, if you're ever in Liverpool, visit the pub 'Ye old Crack' in Rice Street, off Hope Street ,a famous haunt of John & Paul in the early 60s. Tara people. X.
Philip Norman briefly mentions this song in his George Harrison's biography.
As far as I understood, both this song and Now and Then were given just one day of recording session.
Amazing pictures ❤
Hopefully... One day.. these gems will be released..📀
🤞🐞🤞
I WANT TO HEAR THIS HARRISON/McCARTNEY SONG! 😃
Thanks for the detailed info. Even with some mistakes
All for love
The producers of Anthology failed on as far getting the remaining three to perform a couple of the old songs. Should have rerecorded "Old Brown Shoe" with George on lead vocal, Paul on piano. That would have been a number one hit, a happy, fun song from the Abby Road sessions. They could have "lifted" Johns backing vocals on from the original take. Would also have the session taped for a video release, images of John blending into the video. They missed an opportunity. They could have released it as a single and made the B side a rerecording of Let it Be, that happened to also feature Paul on piano and some beautiful guitar work from George. A second single could have been a Ringo song from the Beatles and something from John on an original Beatles outtake or an unreleased song. The recordings that were done from Anthology were nice but man they really sounded like funeral music.
Informative
If you're going to present this topic, why don't you try being more accurate? The Beatles met at George's house in June 1994, but the photos you are showing are not from that date. The three Beatles reunited at the recording studio in February 0f 1995 to finish production of the series. The photos are of the Feb '95 get-together, not the '94 one.
There are a lot of mistakes in this video.
So, by the year 2074, "All for love" will be released.
So, what are they called now, The Twotles?
Blue Moon of Kentucky is not a Lennon/McCartney original. It was written and recorded by Bill Monroe in 1946 and released in 1947. This is misinformation. Reddit this video with the proper information.
There are several mistakes in this entire video. This person knows nothing about the Beatles.
This video is full of mistakes! A Beginning was not Ringo's instrumental it was George Martin's. Blue Moon of Kentucky was not a Lennon and McCartney original. That is NOT Mccartney, Harrison, and Starr's picture at 0:25 as you mentioned. You know nothing about the Beatles. Don't upload without researching your facts!
Without Lennon there is not miracle.
The cassette tape didn't have For Paul written on it. On that tape was a song called Grow Old With Me, and it was For Ringo written on the tape for his new album he was recording at the time.
The cassettes were a total of four songs and the note on it said for Paul one of those cassettes was Grow Old With Me. And on the cassette Lennon said that this would be a good song for Ringo.
@stevebenger8343 not one tape had written for Paul on it.
@ that is a lie
Now what could Paul and Ringo be called? Not the Tootles but maybe because they are bass and drums, We could call them the Back Beatles. I like what they called the surviving members of Nirvana with Paul McCartney,----Sirvana
Without the founder and leader,,, there's no reunion, mean incomplete,,,
Wow! Some things I've never heard before. Thanks!😊
Most of it is bull, not good
Jeezus... the guy talking is just wrong.
The research on this video is appalling! Blue Moon of Kentucky is an old country standard by Bill Monroe, not a Lennon-McCartney original as stated.
Ringo’s instrumental on Anthology 3?!!
It was written by George Martin.
Is this A.I or just sheer laziness in research.
Somebody gave the stills photography a good old smack with the AI button! The voiceover is equally as bad. What a pity.
The Threetles ... Ha!
All For Love, is non-existent. It was an unsubstantiated rumor at the time, that proved false. PLEASE research.
There is a ton of mis information in this video, this channel is rubbish.
There is no ”All for love”. Hoax.
So much rubbish info in this clip.
It would be nice if a reporter asks Paul or Ringo all these hoax questions just to settle them once and for all.
Absolutely a hoax. Mccartney said it never happened
If George Harrison didn't need money, this would never have happened
George Harrison had plenty of money when he sadly passed away he left £400 Million.
@philipbonner6486 George's manager at that time had ripped off millions from him. That's why he agreed to do the Anthology. He needed the money, and that was the only way he could replenish his money. Because suing his manager was going to take years to get his money back and he couldn't wait he had bills to pay. When George died he died almost a billionaire because of the Anthology.
@@recordstreetband6187 So it wasn't "All for Love", it was "All for Money".
@@philipbonner6486 I was commenting about 1994
No john, no Beatles...
With Ai technology we don't need John. Art for art's sake. McCartney could make a perfect Beatle album today by using Ai as a tool. Not by working in a studio but by sifting through Ai created samples and prompting instructions to ai. Voices could be Ai generated to sound like the original Beatles.
@Rick-zw7zv we always need john...
