That's a good edit. You do have to be selective with John Lennon's interviews, but he said a lot of really lovely things, heartfelt and sincere, amongst all the better known snarky comments which get played so often.
Well said indeed. Ppl love to quote the “hot takes” (of which he had many lol). It’s refreshing to see someone highlighting the positive side which was much more in line with his true feelings.
So true, he comes across so loving and a very caring individual-- a very sensitive lovely soul, as Paul has said, his toughness was a mask, he has such incredible depths of wisdom and intelligence,
But it‘s not Hard to create a completely different edit…. I remember when I was Young I was ill in bed, had the flu and read the Rolling Stones Interview and Seaman’s Living on Borrowed time in a row and felt even more sick and depressed…
Watch Gimme some truth and you can see how this Japanese lady is passing those evil how do you sleep lines over to John and how George felt uncomfortable with it !
The Beatles were the biggest act in the world and experienced something we can only imagine, but through all the feuds and fall outs, they still had love for each other, as is clear from Lennon here.
Lovely montage of interviews. John was instinctive but very loving, and a bustard when he felt hurt. So sad they didn't all make it to the anthology reunion, but he was there in spirit.
The not touring thing was the real Axe in the Beatles.. when you just get together to make music, and appearances there is only so much you could do before it becomes like you are a product in a factory line.. Playing live gives you rhat adrenaline rush, you can meet more fans, more musicians.. being on the road gives musicians a chance to truly experience their music in real time. They took that for granted.
@2.0 ... why did you spilt up... “because it was not going anywhere” coming from a member of one of the very few truly progressive bands on modern music. If he were alive today and a witness to the monotonous drivel being produced today he may re-examine that statement
I didn't think Too Many People was about John, I mean the words are sooooo vague sounding to me, that it must have been filled with personal inside jokes or jabs because I never figured out what was so offensive about it to John, but John's rebuttal, How Do You Sleep was quite pointed. I never took sides on it, but honestly, Paul was always my favorite -- I mean, I was the drummer in a local garage band in SE Kansas, but I couldn't get on board with Ringo's drumming, I thought I was better (oh my!) but I appreciate his work much more today.
People that don't remember or just weren't yet around forget what a short amount of time they spent putting out the greatest music of our generation, less than 8 years! That's as if they came and went from 2016 til today, that's literally the blink of an eye. Not one of them had even yet turned 39 years old when they split up... That's insane
John was always a harsh critic of his work and the Beatles where at times he was positive and negative but yet contradicting Definitely was fighting with Paul in the beginning but glad they made up before John passed
Thank you for this compilation! I have trouble watching interviews of the four of them because many hosts were just looking for controversy. With your videos I have an insight of their thoughts without the second-hand embarassment that some questions in bad taste cause me. 😅 Really nice research and video edition.
Also Paul obviously had ZERO trouble making it on his own musically but personally he took the breakup the hardest. Not just my opinion..a lot of people have said that.
De esto hace ya mas de 43 años y poner JOHN REFLEXIONA, como si fuera antes de ayer. La verdad , segun mi punto de vista, dejalo ser. Por lo menos 43 años.
@@quillberIf you ask me about how I feel about my brother or my art, you may get a different answer depending on my mood or the day. And I'm not asked about those things 10 times every day like Lennon was.
Whatever squabbles the Beatles had (Yoko, Boredom, Paul being bossy, whose songs got in the album, money, etc) John, Paul and Ringo were willing to live with but George was already fed up by Let It Be and that's what broke up the band for good. John and Paul just were never going to give him a bigger role, as equals to them and so George just had to graduate and get his independence. You could see John, Paul and Ringo even got together early post break up but George wasn't coming back.
The Beatles broke up for many reasons: they were no longer the teenagers looking for success. Having achieved success, they could now dedicate more time to themselves. The death of manager Epstein left them in economic and organizational chaos. Yoko caused problems for the group, but placing all the blame on her since John tolerated her behavior would be unfair.
I feel bad for anyone who just can't enjoy the music. What are the benefits of pasting different interviews together to create this illusion. Listen again The Beatles stopped being the Beatles because it became boring much like these videos same thing over and over. It's a sin the kill a Mockingbird why do you try? I feel bad for anyone who just can't enjoy the music.
OMG, John always made an ideology out of Rock´n Roll. That´s why most of his solo work was boring cause he didn´t open up to meore ambitious music. But Paul did just that.
It was just the music he liked. As an artist you are allowed to express yourself in any way you feel is right. John was a gifted songwriter who created magic in so many different types of music.. Paul obviously, was also magnificent. Neither had anything to left to prove: they just expressed themselves in the ways they wanted to.
@@gav_creates Then listen to Lennon describing the Beatles´ performances in Hamburg as the peak of their abilities and that is rubbish. They played standard Rock´n Roll tunes there, far away from Eleanor Rigby, Penny Lane, Because etc. Lennon draw a connection between Rock´n Roll and working man´s music and made it an idealogy - just what I wrote. And you can hear this BS in his records.
I thought a few of John's songs--Mother, Imagine, Happy Xmas--were as good as anything the Beatles did. Opening up for the sake of opening up is not music.
Lets not kid ourselves, Lennon screwed up, if Yoko had showed up in 1965 Lennon would have left, Lennon was a flake, artist are nuts. Its crazy that 50 years on we still debate this shit

if you look at the rooftop concert, it seems they truely enjoyed plalying together. even near the end
this is one of the the best Beatle youtube vids i’ve seen
Thank you!

Fantastic editing and presentation. Well done!
Thank you very much!

I think you're right. I wonder if they felt that they couldn't produce a suitable product playing live.

John was on drugs for years after they broke up and was obviously very paranoid.
Fabulous picture of John , Paul and George at 0:40 . Must be from 1958 .
Thankyou John for creating our Beatles.
Actually it was a compliment when he said”I knew Paul’d be all right, what the hell do I have to worry about him for?”🙃
this is very well done, great job!
Thanks a lot!

Danke!

I don't buy that John wasn't angry at Paul.
John had a different answer for every day of the week, he's an unreliable narrator
Mad as hell, by all accounts.

Of course he was at times but at the end of the day he loved Paul.
He wasn't, it was the replacement John, and George had issues with

John was very direct. This was typical of the 60's &70's. "Tell it like is." That's just how we were then. We had thick skins; not like today.

Yoko, the artist 😂😂😂

Stop that silly music in the background.
Wow, how many times has this material been repackaged and regurgitated...do Beatles fans really need to see the same stuff over and over.
There was only one that was paul as artist
MI LENNE HA LENNON A SAJÁT HITVÁNYSÁGÁRÓL ELMÉLKEDETT VOLNA?????
John was insufferable. That’s forgotten because of the sadness of his death.

Drop the silly music and I’ll watch this.
I’m glad you aren’t watching. Means less negative people in the community here.
