Wow, 84 years old.
Who could’ve imagined back in the day that Ringo, Paul, George and John would have such an impact on literally everything, then and now.
The Beatles completely changed our world.
I could. I was living in the UK in the 60s. Unstoppable and unique.
85 this July...amazing.
best Boomer boy band for sure
Well said. And there's probably no one in history that has increased the sum of human happiness quite as much as The Beatles. What a wonderful thing to have done. They could have used their status and influence to move society in any direction, but instead they always used their platform to celebrate love, peace and creativity.
@@youtubegarbage7876All the members of The Beatles were born during the war, not after. The baby boomer period was from 1946-1964. So actually, they are a pre boomer band.
Looking pretty darn good for 84!!!
Yeah, he looks 60ish---Crazy!
So handsome ❤
Dam Good.
If you look at early pictures of himself, he looked older then.
@danerd8978 Nobody's disputing that!
Ringo is so chill.
He’s very well preserved.
No cant move from being so old 😅
Especially of that bumbfist "not shake hands" thing
Drummers are chill.
That’s why he’s a young 84
I was there. I had been waiting to see Paul live for years, after his last European tour was canceled due to covid, so I decided to fly from Italy to London this time. Last date of an exceptional world tour. Not only Paul brings out the lost (now found) original Hofner 500/1 bass for the first time in decades, not only Ronnie Wood joins him to play Get Back, but also Ringo joins him to play Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Helter Skelter. This is the kind of things you literally dream about. I feel incredibly blessed, and still don't exactly realize it really happened
I was too! I was incredibly lucky to have the seats I did and it was a night I will remember for the rest of my life!
My daughter is in an amazing children’s choir that performed “Wonderful Christmastime” with Sir Paul…it took a long time for her (and all of us) to come down from cloud nine!
i was there as well and even now I cannot talk about it without crying my daughter aged 25 and i witnessed history
Did they film the concert I wonder! I’d love to see it. 😁
Flew from Canada to attend Paul’s concert in London. Also had tickets to the lounge and soundcheck. Truly a magical evening filled with surprises.
For a man who nearly died as a child, and who survived 30 years of alcoholism/millions of cigarettes...he's a little 84yr old miracle.
he knows so much we do not!
Check out Keith Richards!
I love when Jimmy Kimmel brings on classic rock legends. It's nice to see these musicians still rocking in today's era! 🎸
And then asks if he's worried about getting deported 😂
Peace and love… Ringo has never veered from that message.
✌️
he actually did - he was a big fan of Brexit in the UK .. his peace and love has no meaning now
@@boxinghistory82 Silly comment
@thewalrus6833 well it's is your opinion.. if you truly care about democracy, you shouldn't find it silly. Have a great day smart man!
@@boxinghistory82 Yes it is my opinion, only a silly person would equate peace and love with being in or out of the EU.
Man, this guy is 84, a celebrity in the SIXTIES, and witnessed MLK, Malcolm X, Churchill, Nixon, Kennedy, Vietnam, and the British Invasion.
We're never going to have a modest celebrity, like the pure, original ones with pure personality.
Lol he didn't "witness" the British Invasion. He WAS the British Invasion!
@@Rackyack I know! I meant he saw the whole "phenomenon" happen. It was just as new to them, nobody could ever really see what would happen. Now we look at it and say, he was it, and of course, that's true, but at the time, it was probably more like "witnessing something insane fold right before your eyes".
he's alive during WW2 too
Ringo is simply peace, love and have a good time with whatever type of music😁
One of the coolest people to ever live.
Peace & Love Ringo!!! ✌️❤
He's never done anything about peace.
He’s such a likable guy
Uh ...you spelled "lovable" incorrectly 😂...Ringo❤
Ringo was always my favorite Beatle, from the time I first saw them on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, when I was 6!
I met Ringo in Nashville in 2012, I think it was. On his birthday. He couldn't have been nicer. We sang Happy Birthday and John's Give Peace a Chance. And yelled Peace and Love! at noon. There's a plaque there now at the Hard Rock Cafe. Great experience. I've loved Ringo since 1964 when I was 11. Who would've thought this Beatles thing would still be goin on?! I'm 72 now. And he's 84! And we both look great. 😊✌🏻&❤️
@@jamess7626 I'm 71 and was 10 in 1964....ur memory of ur meeting will b w u 4ever✌️✌️✌️😻
Wonderful ! Keep on rocking boys!
Ty, Ringo and Jimmy.
We sure needed a little help from our friends.
Best comment
Yes, right now we all need a little help from our friends (if we’re gonna make it thru). 🙏🏽
Couldn't have said it better myself
Amazing to see Ringo still. Like many people of my generation, I first saw Ringo on the Ed Sullivan show back in 1964 when I was very young. And he's still here and looking like, just about, the youngest 84 year old on the planet. '64 to 2025 is a heck of a long time. Music must be one of his secrets to longevity and a positive attitude.
Heartwarming. Never tire of listening to Ringo.
He's ageless and sharp as a knife, I could listen to him all day. ❤
Ringo waved at my mom at the entrance to the Red Rocks Amphitheater near Denver, in 1964, while I was inside waiting for the show. They were getting out of their car, on the way in to the show. I am so proud of the kindness he showed. Thank you Ringo.
I won tickets to see The Beatles in 1964 in San Francisco. I was so excited! I recently watched videos from the concert and was so happily surprised that my memories were accurate…Love them forever…and I’m so happy Ringo is still with us❤️
I watch the video of their last concert in 1966...I was there....keep looking 4 me in the stands ....yhey played ONLY 31 minutes 😭✌️🔬🔬😻😊
Nobody will ever be greater! OTHER THAN JESUS OF COURSE!
Ringo is absolutely real & fabulous...Loved how he answered Jimmy's question about who chose the songs when he recently performed with Paul McCartney... "He did because it was his show"
LOVE Ringo! Thanks for having him on! I'm 70 years old now and the Beatles were a HUGE part of my young life! SO good to see him!
Same story for me as well.
I love Ringo! Beatles forever amazing
Now THAT, folks, is a Rock Star!
♥This man is great grandfather and looks 45. He should live 200 years.
I met him and Paul the same day few monthes ago I won't never forget that moment
We love you guys! ♥
How?
Tell the story, please.
@ I met them both during the fashion week in Paris last year. They were together. Paul get out of the car and I was taking pictures and then Ringo appeared next to Paul, shoulder to shoulder. I was shocked. 2 Beatles in front of me for few seconds. I took some pictures of that moment. And also after when they left Paris.
We lived in the next street to Ringo (Elwy St) in Liverpool during the sixties, my brother was his schoolfriend. He looks very good for his age
the Dingle, right? I'm not a Northerner - I was born and raised in Los Angeles, but I know a ton of scousers from that era.
@ yes, but not sure I would call the area Dingle, although Ringo went to Dingle Vale school. Admiral Grove, where he lived was between High Park St and North Hill St, he was born in Madrid St 100 yds or so away. Great days the sixties, as the Beatles became popular the area was busy with coach loads of fans from all over the world
Wow Alan thanks for sharing 👍 . Like all the scousers I know Ringo seems such a genuine bloke . Bet he's not changed a bit since he was a kid eh?
Very cool! When visiting Liverpool in the '80s, the victory "V" was still above his front door at Admiral Grove.
That was great! Thanks Jimmy and Ringo! 😍
Ringo was always my favourite. Still handsome at 84! 💖💜💖
He looks better now than he did when he was younger!
The Beat Goes On 🤩
Ringo Starr is just pure class! He seems like such a low key, easy-going guy!
Ringo Star the human metronome. He’s one of the greatest under assuming drummers you’ll ever hear!
This was really nice. Just seeing him took me back to a much more innocent time. I was too young for the sex, drugs and rock and roll part, but loved listening to the Beatles songs on our little record player. We had the 75's, I believe they were called, you had to put the little plastic thing in the middle to play a single. My sister had a stack of them and even a little Beatles case to carry and store them in. Thank you! This took me back to a time where I felt like I could breathe. No worries. I'm thankful that I lived them, what a blessing that I didn't know then that I would one day be missing. May God bless him and be with him always.
Hi, they were 45’s that got the little plastic thing to play on record players. 😊
@@margiem5173 Thank you! I knew I was having a senior moment and it's been so long since I've used a record player, I'd completely forgotten.
I still have some 45s! Don’t play them very often, the LPs are better.
Yes, 45's. And the item in the center was called an adapter. My brother used to humorously call them "an apapter!"
I wish I had kept all of those 45’s ..they’re classics now. I identify with all you said Colleen, about the old days. We were so young and innocent and now we live with constant worry for our country. Never dreamed something like this could happen.
What a gem...confident that he can still outrun his fans!! It's amazing how well these legends look, and still continue to entertain us ❤
In ‘64, i attempted to get my little sister a surprise call with Ringo.
I was aware of his birth name, and called the hotel in New York.
I tried to impersonate a British accent in my child’s voice, and asked for “Richard Starkey.
The gambit didn’t work, but I thought it was pretty slick.
My siister never told on me for anything again..She was so impressed with my hutzpah. 😎
So great to see he’s still performing and has the quickest wit
Never hit the play button faster!! maaan, They've been made from a different clay. I looooove him, I love Paul.
I was born in 1965. And I love the Beatles. Even now when I listen to their albums here in UA-cam. Their songs makes me happy. ❤
I am a foreigner who has only started listening to the rock music of the golden, revolutionary era and i started it with The Beatles of course and i can't believe that some people call this band overrated. It's a life changing music, and as someone who likes to appreciate all kinds of music, whether it's completely different from my own regional tunes and however uncomfortable it might be which is a common feeling. It's only been a month, and i have only tried The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin which has made me crazy and brought something so different and new out of me.
As someone who "just started listening to the rock music" you have no valid opinion on what is over or underrated.
Good for you! Yes, the Beatles were game changers. So glad you are opening yourself to new music that some of us grew up with or take for granted. There's so much good music to listen to. You said you were a " foreigner" ...I would welcome you to introduce me to some of the music you enjoy that I have never heard.
Rock on 🤘😎 🤘
@@youtubegarbage7876 it there a 'validity' on this type of thing? It's natural to have opinions.
I said I haven't listened to rock music, not music in general. Besides, my comment about the Beatles being 'overrated' was towards the people who claim this ridiculous claim. So take a chill pill mate.
@@coachbillturpin thank you so much. I was hoping to see this kind of comment instead of someone being unreasonably holistic towards a simple comment. I have always loved culture and have an appreciation for everything that goes and comes with it. English is my second language, and I have listened to Indian music for a long time and wanting to explore something fresh and new but contemporary english music doesn't do it for me. I find it rather boring. However, the 60s and the 70s have a certain sound that excites me so much. It's so magical, raw and passionate. You might have a go at Ravi Shankar, who was revolutionary too. I think a lot of rockstars, like George Harrison and Robert Plant took inspiration from that man and a lot of national stars in India like Lata Mangeshkar and AR Rahman were inspired by him.
@@fayedunaway8 You are most welcome! the 60's and 70's were incredible times, music included. I am like you - I enjoy learning about other cultures and music. It is funny how people are so argumentative about the Beatles' influence. Thank you ...I recognized Ravi's name, initially (but not his music). You are right, Geroge Harrison is credited with referring to Ravi as the "Godfather of World music". Keep enjoying the new music. Let me know if I can steer you or make suggestions to new music/artists. I am happy to help a fellow music lover.
I was in Target last week and overheard two teenage girls.
"The only thing that matters," one of them said, "is the Beatles."
"Yeah," her friend replied, "definitely."
LOL cool story bro
Legends.
I was talking music with a college girl last week, a server at the restaurant. I'm 65 and remember The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. I was amazed that she knew the band Ten Years After.
That makes me hopeful, and I burst out laughing ;-) Thanks!
@@thelonesomefisherman7425well nowadays it's pretty easy to access any major release compared long ago.
It's impossible to watch this without having a smile on your face! 😃 He is always funny
It's so cool to see the stars my mom went crazy for back in '64 when she was 17. Ringo looks to be in his 50's at the very oldest. Just amazing! Such a great talent, and legend. Thank you, Mr. Starr!
Dude is communicating absolutely perfect for 84 y.o. rock legend
He looks fantastic for his age. I saw him in 2013 and he did not fail to give such a wonderful performance. "It don't come easy", my fav. song.
I could watch Ringo chat everyday!
What a charming man. He is receptive, numerous, and gives a delightful interview. ❤🎉
My son grew up watching him as Mr. Conductor on Thomas the Tank Engine. I always stopped what I was doing to watch it with him. Thank you for doing such a great kids show.
I think it was cool and a smart marketing idea to get an icon of the baby boomers to narrate and host something that became popular with their kids generation. For my mother and I, it built a bridge between things we loved. I always loved listening to “Mr. Conductor’s” Beatles songs.
🌟LONG LIVE RINGO STARR🌟
One day in the not-too-distant future, Ringo and Paul will no longer be with us, and that will be a sad, sad day for this world. We're fortunate that they're both so willing to continue sharing their lives with us all.
The story of his name and other lessor known info about Ringo is so fascinating!
My dad, Ringo's age, loved Gene Autry shows, too. Even in his 70s, he'd watch those cowboy shows on Saturday mornings and listen to old Car Talk radio shows. It was his Saturday morning ritual.
This was Awsome to see. Thanks for this Jimi ❤🇨🇦
I was at the show he was with Paul last year, genuinely one of the best moments I’ve ever witnessed 😊
Been seeing Ringo & All-Stars for 35+ years. Love this man very dearly.
Bro's a living legend.
Legend as one of the luckiest guys in the world 😂 if Peter Best had not decided to skip the American tour, nobody would know who Ringo is 😂
@@patriciamurfitt4590 Not true. Pete Best was sacked by the band long before the first American tour.
@patriciamurfitt4590 Ringo was the only Beatle that had already "made it" in the music industry when he was called on to take Pete Best's place. Ringo had already played drums on a few studio tracks and had already worked on assembling his "All Starr Band", while none of other the Beatles had become known to the public or in the music industry.
Ringo is just amazing. I hope he keeps on going and going. I think it is great that he just put out a country album.
Ringo is fabulous!
Terrific interview with some great stories!
And he still has that Beatles charm!
So glad Ringo is alive, as well as Paul.
What I love about Ringo Starr is that he is pure music Royalty, but he is so humble, unpretentious, he knows his place in music history but he doesn’t boast or brag about it at all. Lovely man
Ringo looks great looks beautiful sounds great! This guy us an inspiration to all people! Live happy live healthy enjoy your life! This man is a living legend and His Look up album is one of the best albums of 2025 so far!!! Ringo looks 45 sounds 35 acts 30 dresses like 20 this man is great wish he would run for president! Ringo is so happy and cheerful ! Ringo hope you win that Grammy!!!! ❤❤❤❤ Ringo is one cool Cowboy!
Thank you so much for this, Ringo, Jimmy, and all concerned! I've loved Ringo since I was five years old in 1964. So happy to see him being active and creative and so fit at 84.
ringo you're living legend we love you.
What great antidotes! I loved hearing every single one. His life seemed fated from the start. Rock On Ringo! ❤
I watched The Beatles first US performance in 1964 on the Ed Sullivan show. I was 10😊
Wow I’m 70 now. I watched it with my mum and pop. Had to get Beatles boots and let my hair grow. Pops said No Way 😊
Me too!! On a black and white TV and it was still cool 😎
You watched the real Paul McCartney perform live then.
I remember watching them on Ed Sullivan at age 7 and fell madly in love with the Beatles for life! I remember crying because I loved them so much.
You can tell the stage drummer put a little extra umph to his snares in the intro
I noticed that too.
If anyone has not seen his road show with his all star band you are missing out. Excellent show with a stage full of top class musicians. Ringo is a great entertainer.
what a legend is Mr. Ringo!! he´s so cool! :D Jimmy is so lucky to have interviewed him and learnt the story of his artistic name and the amazing anecdotes he shared! I wish he had told the time The Beatles met Elvis Presley in his home
According to Paul, when they came to America they only wanted to meet one person. Elvis Presley. He said they had many invitations from people, but only wanted Elvis. They finally met at Elvis' home in Bel Air (LA). I've heard about 4 different versions of that night. I have it down to the one I hear the most. Started with awe from the boys. They sat and stared at him. He finally said if your just going to stare, I'm going to bed or something similar. That broke the ice and all laughed and it turned into a fun night, particularly for John and Paul. Those two idolized Elvis, doing hair like his and wearing clothes like his as young teens. The other two were playing video games and seeking weed, as in their own words. Paul was at Graceland a while back and put his guitar pick on his grave saying for him to play in Heaven. He also got to go into archives and played an early, famous guitar of Elvis'. He owns the Bill Black bass. He's on UA-cam playing it. Heartbreak Hotel. John wore an ELVIS in cursive diamond lapel pin on this lapel when he got dressed up and went put.
The best Peace & Love t-shirt!
So Ringo!!
My family has tickets to see Ringo at the Grand Ole Opry! We are so excited!
Congrats ! I'm from Nashville. The Opry is a very small venue with church pews for seating. The acoustics are fantastic !
You're gonna have a blast!

I love this interview! I watched it last night and again today. Ringo looks great.
I had a smile on my face the whole segment... Thank you Jimmy (and Ringo!), I needed a smile this week... And it's only Tuesday... Sigh...
I feel like I just watched the greatest talk show segment/interview of all time.
Bravo. Jimmy Kimmel, you are a treasure.

Ringo is and has always been my favorite Beatle since I was 7 years old ( I was born in 1957), love his music and he looks fantastic for being 84 , Peace and Love to you Ringo ✌️❤️
Love this!!! The Beatles first played in the United States on the Ed Sullivan show on my 14th birthday in 1964! What a gift that was. And… Ringo was my favorite - I love the way he shook his head and his hair went all over the place. I’m amazed at his longevity and I was happy to hear the story about how he got his name Ringo.
Next week on February 9, I will be 75 and as always, I’ll look back fondly on the Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan show! Love you, Ringo❤
Thank you for being part of the greatest magical act in history.
Loved it. A living legend still making new music and being so humble even when he was part of the most influential band of all time. It is such a pleasure to be listening to his stories
Ringo is always great to see ....still going strong 👍
i used to think being magnetic was just about looks or confidence, but i couldn’t have been more wrong. i read this book called Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and it totally changed my perspective. it breaks down the energy and mindset behind true attraction in a way that just makes sense. once i started applying what it taught, i noticed people reacting to me differently almost instantly. it’s seriously worth a read.
Dude is so cool!
First knew Ringo from my parents being obsessed with The Beatles when I was little. I appreciated all their musical talents but thought he was the coolest - maybe because we used to sing Yellow Submarine and Octopus’s Garden at primary school. He then became next level cool when my little sister watched Thomas the Tank Engine and got so excited - “Ringo!”
1:40 I saw Ringo driving by himself in the next car on Santa Monica Bl., near Overland in LA in the early '90's. 😁
I LOVE RINGO ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looking Great!!!!!!!!! Can’t believe he is 84.
He dances the same as he did when he was a young Beatle! We love you forever Ringo ✌️❤️
I saw my wife’s English grandmother performing the English ‘two finger salute’ when she was in the car with us while we were on a holiday to Britain. I was driving the rental car when another car cut me off as two lanes merged into one. I mumbled my displeasure and then her hand flew up in solidarity with me. She was in her 80’s then. I never heard her swear ever but she had those two fingers in her arsenal 😊.
Cherish the fact that we still have living Beatles! Thankful to have seen both live in concert ✌️❤️
Get inspired everybody 🎉❤🎉 when you turn 84 years old, go Maestro Ringo way, look like 30, act like 30, debut like 30 and feel like 30, yeah, that's the point friends ❤🎉❤big loving hug adorable Ringo, forever young, that's how it works the concept that human life is Holy Blessing, take good care of it and enjoy it...other hundred years more if possible
Ringo just always handles himself wonderfully.
Doesn't speak recklessly like John did and sometimes George.
Not puffed up like Paul can be at times.
Just down to earth, kind and caring.
Peace and Love man
Why turn this into shitting on other ppl 😭
I agree with you. Paul was awesome and unique in his own way. A legend.

Great interview! I didn't know about him falling in love with drums while in the hospital in his early teens, or that the name Ringo was an adapted real nickname, Rings, that he earned by wearing his mother's rings around his neighborhood friends.
This was a fascinating interview. Loved learning the stories on his name, why he became a drummer, etc.
Awesome Ringo. How is he still so cool after all these years.
