- The title says it all in this one ! It's a new destination for me & my Company which throws up a few trials when we eventually get there. The delays give 2 of us time to explore the wonderful City of Prague whilst we stay in a great hotel before getting back to it a week later. We also take you through the border at Rozvadov & explain how to get your toll box.

Spotted an Iran registered Mercedes Actros on the M1 northbound in December’23. More great content in this vlog. I suppose if you have to have an enforced stay of 1 week, what could be a better place to be.👍

Short story long, I drove a 2 car enclosed car transporter to do a film shoot for Audi USA, we were booked for a couple of weeks so I had to guesstimate how much credit to put on the box, this was shortly after the toll system in CZ went live, as it worlked out we didn't do too much truck driving while we were there so there was a a lot of credit on the box, when I put the credit on the box I asked the woman if I needed to get the credit back how I would go about it she said " Oh that's no problem just visit the services opposite on the way out and you'll get a refund" anyway on the way out I pulled in to the last services before the border where she to go only to find theres no vignette refund place there, not only that but they've out a fence installed along the middle barrier on the motorway to stop you crossing to get your refund where you paid in the first place, needless to say I was a bit pissed off so I drove out of CZ into Germany turned around then went back to see the soppy tart who put the credit on the box in the first place, she was quite shocked when I presented the box and asked for my money back which she duly refunded, I then had to get back out of CZ without gettinng stopped by the police which I managed, felt quite smug as I beat their system, the robbing sods are all too happy to keep your money.

I did a few trips last year and parked exactly where you were in pilsen my agent was just to the right of you there. She’s a right miserable gyt in toll box booth wouldn’t take my v5 as it opens up. You can do in big building tho they a lot more helpful in there. 👍🏻
I’ve heard she sometimes tears the V5 in half saying it won’t go through her scanner otherwise 🤦🏻♂️. Witch ! 🧙🏼

Hi Ben. Brilliant video. Can't believe you have to wait a week to get into your customer, but hey ho, you get to visit lovely places like Prague. Its a good ideal sometimes, you can get to visit these places, and if you like them take a city break when the weather is better🤣

Good question but not on this occasion. This was a Customers issue as they just wouldn’t tip us until later 🤷♂️

It happens mate & the costs to return to the UK & then redeliver are more than leaving us there so that’s what happens. All charged & paid for 🤷♂️
A week to get tipped 🤣🤣, My dummy would have been well and truly spat !
Then further delays on the reload 🤦🏻♂️. Different when you’re an OD as (usually) every day delayed loses you money 🤦🏻♂️

Bit of a random question, but always wondered how lorries avoid getting flashed on red light cameras, especially when in the UK and driving in congested cities. In heavy traffic, how can you clear a junction by the time a light goes from amber to red when driving something the size of an artic?
They do still get flashed mate. You have to take the length of the vehicle into account when crossing junctions.
Excellent video once again. I do have to ask though, will you be paid for the week off????? Also any reimbursement for food, drink etc???? All this info helps me with deciding to go Euro trucking or not.
Yes we’re paid but believe me European tramping isn’t a huge earner.

Yes we do mate, all charged back to the Customer. Unfortunately this is usually passed on to the consumer (me & you) !!

Yes mate, many times & it’s fine. Just find somewhere decent with facilities & we have everything we need in the cabs anyway 😃
The part of Euro trucking I dislike. Having to park up without any facility's and waiting around for days on end. Had a lot of that doing exhibition work. But glad to see you had time to visit Prague. As always an interesting vlog.
