Hi Ben. First of all, hope you had a brilliant break. What a fabulous video. I too, with my lovely hubby, have taken scarey, but gorgeous roads with views when been on holiday. Before I took early retirement, I was a secretary, and would type any forms to make life a bit easier for my colleages, and it could be the same if you and your colleagues did the same, where you write out the route of different places, and keep copies in the office for other drivers to take with them to help in navigating to places, and they do the same as well. Anything to make life easier😂
Great video ben👍👍. Looking forward to part 2. Great insight into trucking in the eu. I also think it's great that our meat and so forth is still in demand in Europe. They don't mention that on the news. 👍👍
You are a top man I used to run with a guy years ago who just over came any problems, your first words starting I am looking forward to this trip, other drivers are thinking whats going to go wrong, and jumping starting the guy on the pumps, top quality, you make it look so easy.
Some real nice pictures of the Scania there, it's always nice to see what your driving and it looks great, thanks for the journey, keep up the good work 👍
Excellent vlog Mr Breeze. That fridge work must throw your body clock out of sync😮. You have the right idea...getting out the cab when you can...sightseeing and eating/drinking well. Its a breeze😂. Looking forward to watching p2😊
Hi Ben, really enjoyed the vlog as always. I’m glad you know where your going on some of them back roads look forward to part 2 have a fab week and stay safe buddy 👍👍
Hi Ben glad you are back with your travels. I enjoy your vlogs and jenko’s they remind me of my days trucking (retired now) it would seem not a lot has changed still all the hassle with traffic and delays waiting to unload. All the very best and safe driving.
ABSOLUTELY superb videos, scenery and narration. You have a hidden talent making these videos and informatively narrating them. Great relaxed view. From an ex trucker that used to run all over the continent 40 years ago!!!!!!!!!! That was in a Scanny 141. 👍👍👍 Thanks again MARK
Really enjoyed this trip with you, gives me a bit of a wanderlust though and makes me think a career in medicine was the wrong choice when I could of been “tramping” around Europe in a truck !! Looking forward to part two and stay safe, xx
Good video, definitely need more info, I’m using the vlogs you guys post to refresh my knowledge so i can ask for a job… 😂 in all fairness I haven’t done European work since the nineties, in fact I was stuck in Turin for Italia 90 so a while ago…. So Keep em coming i need the research material…lol😂
I knew where you were going as soon as I clicked the video, Jenko in his last video revealed your destination :) Don't usually watch his films any more as they are to long, but watched his last one.
Brilliant video Ben, Really enjoyed watching. Would you ever consider the “ladder cam” that Jenko use to do when he was in his Scania, Attached to the side of the bunk ladder so we get to see the dash too? Really looking forward to watching part 2, Take it easy mate
Think you overtook me on the way out of Avonmouth on Wednesday morning. Was in a Tesco double decker, apologies it has no guts and struggled up the hill 😂
Hi The Breeze, I wonder if you could answer a couple of questions that have been bugging me for a while after watching Martyn and your previous videos, firstly why does your company tolerate the hassle with the French customs rather than going through Holland I have watched you go that way before without any delays, I know it is a long way around but I have seen Martyn stuck in French customs for more than 3 hours I wonder if the UK customs do the same to French drivers? The second question, why do you have to pay to go into Rungis just to deliver to the places in there? Sorry for the long rant. Very best regards from Ray (the old sod 81) from North Wales.
We have to go to the vets whichever route we take for them to examine the meat we carry. The Rungis payment is historic & they won’t want to change it as it’s such a money spinner.
I think you’re off to Italy, not sure what’s giving me that idea😉😗 🇮🇹 I watched a documentary about Rungis, they say 23000 vehicles go in every day/ night. If you’re all paying €80 each that’s €1,840,000 a day😳😳
Sorry mate lost interest would rather of known where you were going might of looked forward to the trip Safe travels maybe have a look at Luke c in a hgv he’s a great channel and very enjoyable to watch
Some off the beaten track deliveries, sirprised that tree is still standing, why is it there. That time lapse was poor, sorry. Don't like time lapses and this one was far too fast!
Excellent content
Glad you think so my friend.
Heart in your mouth moments when one thinks you’ve gone wrong on routes only designed for horse and carriage. All part of an exhilarating journey
Haha yes it was scary without being pre-warned by my colleagues.

At about 1:48 you stop to fill up with something (Ablu?) what is it?
It’s an additive used to reduce emissions from the exhaust system. Made from urea (mainly pig urine)
I would love to start making a few trips from Scotland to Amsterdam or Italy in my Mercedes Sprinter wheelchair accessible vehicle
Do it mate 😃
Another interesting vlog, really makes me want to have a go on European work, just a question though, do you run electric or diesel fridge units?
Both mate, they can be switched from diesel to electric.
Ben pity about My Blanc crossing at night.
Yes maybe next time 😉
What was the name of the truck stop at the start?
It was the Relais de Savigny mate.

Sorry mate lost interest would rather of known where you were going might of looked forward to the trip
Safe travels maybe have a look at Luke c in a hgv he’s a great channel and very enjoyable to watch
Crack on bud, sorry you couldn’t make it out before you even started watching with the Italian flag in the thumbnail 😬😢. BTW Luke C is VERY good 👍🏽
There seems to be a lot of night running in that job, should be one or the other, you must earn a fortune for being mucked about.
We do & for exactly that reason. We do whatevers required as long as it’s legal.
PL = Poids Lourd = HGV
Oui
Some off the beaten track deliveries, sirprised that tree is still standing, why is it there.
That time lapse was poor, sorry. Don't like time lapses and this one was far too fast!
The tree is “protected” & they’re not allowed to cut it down apparently.
Why bring f%%tball into it. This spoiled for me an otherwise brilliant video.
😂😂😂 sorry bud 😢
The right turn at BP takes you up by the supermarket where you can park and get supplies then into Rungis. 😁
Belle Epine is where we end up most afternoons or evenings depending on what we’ve got on so usually park up first so we can commence rest periods.
Cool video, keep at her Lad!
Cheers Shane.
