I've always heard people say that the Book of Mormon could not be proven true except through the confirmation of the Holy Ghost. Having a reputable scholar declare the writings were of ancient origin, etc. is proof. Very interesting, and may I add exciting information. I really appreciate the hard work that Richard Bennett and many others have done and continue to do. It makes for a more pleasant and interesting study of the scriptures. It seems it may also be faith building.
Wonderful interview. I have been reading several books published by early members and other scholars of that time period. I'd have to agree and it makes more sense to me that the Nephites and Lamanites inhabited that area and all the surrounding area culminating with the destruction of the Nephjtes around the Hill Cumorah. When the Savior left them maybe he went to South America and taught them after the Nephites and Lamanites. In time we shall know. I really appreciated this interview and the further insights it gave.
