My best friend in high school would often cry. Full on sobbing. Because she would not get to see me in the afterlife. I would always tell her, that we have right now. It did eventually ruin the friendship.
We continue after this, our spirit will still go on.

24:24 I was adopted through the LDS service. My parents joined the LDS Church in order to qualify to adopt me. My Mom couldn't have children and LDS was the only adoption program they had in our small rural area. We attended the LDS until I was 5 yrs old. (My Dad said he left because he really missed coffee LoL)
I love that!!! My dad said he left because he really missed coffee! What a guy!

I'm an older senior woman of 66 years and I have always invited people for a meal! It isn't steak or prime rib, but it is usually filling, delicious, and a good time. There are so many lonely people out there and a visit to your home could mean the difference between feeling loved or being so lonely, especially during the holidays!
The world needs more people like you❤🙏
Thats very nice of you but please take care
Im following in your footsteps
That'd be a genius idea for lonely people. Young people cannot admit or recognize what they feel is loneliness.
The book of Mormon is "adding to the Bible". Which is exactly what the Bible says you never do. Enough said
Love Peter’s videos, but was going to skip on this butterflies and rainbows version of Mormonism sales presentation (milk before meat). But a version with your commentary? LOVED IT. Thank you!
I just watched Peter’s video with you two. I was very impressed with how well you both articulated your thoughts and feelings. I can only imagine what you have witnessed over the years. Thanks for sharing…!
As a former member of the LDS church I am always shocked at how little many “faithful” members know about their own doctrine and history. They get it wrong all the time, and they don’t seem to care. How can you dedicate your life to a religion that you don’t really understand? It’s not that hard to find the facts. I think that they don’t want to look too closely because they are afraid of what they might find out.
It’s too costly to their personal lives and relationships. The truth hurts.
Polygamy is still doctrine because it will continue in the celestial kingdom. Today an LDS man who is widowed or whose wife divorces him, may marry agin in the temple and be sealed to a second wife while remaining sealed to the first. An LDS woman in the same situation may not.
@@s.a.6082 While it is true that it is costly interpersonally, I'd guess that for most of us, it wasn't that we saw the cost & chose to turn away or refuse to accept it: it was we had little to no reason to even suspect we were being lied to in the 1st place.
Which is what makes the betrayal so much harder to overcome (= lots of angry ex- & post- Mormons, for a veryyyy long time, yrs, even decades after leaving). A lot to deconstruct. Damn near everything, in fact.
(I have a much longer response if you're interested, but I'm consciously trying to cut back on the info dump overshare that was culturally ingrained into me for decades.)
In the end, does the doctrine really matter? People have their own individual faith, whether is aligns with whatever "doctrine" exists or not. I love when people say, "So you're X, then you believe Y and Z," assuming that to be true. Why not just ask the person what they believe instead of assuming based on a label? That's like saying, "You're African American, so you eat a lot of collard greens and watermelon." That's just ridiculous, and frankly, racist and discriminatory, right? Then why do it to people for their faith based on an attribute. Like the Mom said in the video, she isn't trying to raise a robot... she's trying to raise a person who can make her own decisions." I know plenty of members of the LDS Church who don't believe everything people think they do. As Melissa noted.. outside of Utah, there's a very different culture. Utah culture is often attributed to the LDS Church and Church doctrine, when it totally isn't.
@@InternetJury I'm curious to hear more about your last sentence; could you articulate?
Agree if the only thing that matter is “Jesus is my personal savior” why should anyone be LDS? You can believe that under any label, or no label.
Because there is so much more.
@@shirleybleazard8049, silly Masonic temple nonsense
It’s a Mormon lie. It’s not all about Jesus. You have to believe so much more bullshit
It’s easy to say that the 90% don’t look down on the 10% when you are part of the 90%. I graduated from East High school in SLC. The student body was very divided. The seminary attending Mormons looked down on the Mormons who didn’t attend seminary, and they generally didn’t hang out with nonmembers unless they thought they could convert them. There were a lot of resentments. The school in Northern California that I transferred from was much more diverse and yet much more accepting and united.
These seem like really nice people but much of that video was truly cringe. One lady said "no blind following, we're not all expected to feel the same way." That's laughable, especially when Melissa points out the church's website has the info on how you are supposed to feel for any issue. Now I want pizza! Also, do LDS members just skip the part about "separation of church and state" when they say this country was created by god?
It is certainly an interesting dichotomy, isn't it? (Also same on the pizza! *drool*)
Members are actively taught that they have free agency, the right to choose how to think/act for themselves, but then so much of how to act & what to do is spoon-fed to them that it takes the skill & logic of decision-making away. Also the church keeps members so busy often there isn't the time or emotional bandwidth to do much else than the basics, not to mention digging into church history that could possibly trigger a full on faith & life crisis.
Acknowledging we CAN all have differences in feelings s a really big deal for a lot of members (this didn't used to be a thing); acting on that is on a whole 'nother level. But some of us get there, eventually. Baby steps! lol
@@LopsidedLiahona And when they don't feel or act in the way that is spoon-fed to them, they can feel incredible guilt and shame.
I think separation of church and state refers more to their not being a state religion. Meaning, everyone is allowed to practice their faith according to their own beliefs and the government should not be run by a specific religion or endorse a specific faith. LDS people definitely believe in this principle and it is stated in the 11th article of faith. “We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.”
What she was talking about was her belief that God had a hand in creating this country. Perhaps that he inspired the Founding Fathers and inspired the constitution. That doesn’t mean that she doesn’t also believe that there should be a separation of church and state or that the government should endorse or require a religion.
@@lrosmond❤
This was interesting to me too. This country was occupied by people fleeing from religious oppression. They want the right to practice their own faith. Then it inevitably becomes about imposing beliefs on others today which is Un-American
Thank you so much. I just saw you on Peter's UA-cam channel and I respect you so much for bringing the information out and for having the courage to leave LDS... And live your life how Christ really wanted you to live.. in freedom. God bless you both

'high demand religion' is such a good term

One of my favourite Christmas memories was when I was in Calgary (1996) and had decided not to go home for Christmas that year (home was a 4 hour drive)... I was invited to spend Christmas day with my college girlfriend Jill and her family who were LDS. It was such a welcoming home and I had such a great feeling of being welcome even through I wasn't Mormon. I even got a Christmas story book from Jill's grandmother as a gift. I still have the book "The Christmas Box" by Richard Paul Evans. Inside Grandma Richards wrote. "May you enjoy this book and always remember your Christmas with us." It wasn't long after that Jill and I parted ways when our religious directions divided us. But I still have this book and still have the memory of when they opened up their home to me. Your video reminded me of that Christmas again... Thank you! Ruby from Alberta Canada.
Interesting! Hi from North Battleford Saskatchwan. Coming to Alberta for Christmas.
I just got done watching your video with Peter and I loved it. I feel like I have even more compassion for the decision Sam made to leave. It hit me differently how leaving meant losing everything. So sobering. Thank you for sharing.
Community of Christ, r l d s , learning a lot thank you . 🙏.
Nothing but softball questions. What about the Masonic marks on garments and the fact that Joseph Smith was a mason? What about the origins of the Book of Abraham? And how Joseph Smith bought the Egyptian papyrus from a traveling salesman? And how Joseph smith claimed to interpret it before anyone knew how to read ancient Egyptian? Fact- the papyrus was nothing more than a standard piece of an ancient scroll called the Egyptian Book of the Dead? Which was regularly buried with mummies. The papyrus was all about Egyptian Gods and NOT Abraham as Smith claimed. What about Joseph Smith being a polygamist and marrying 14 year old teenage girls?
That not Peter’s intention in his videos. His interest is in getting their story, not picking apart their beliefs.
1:15:30 I know this was kind of said jokingly because most people do feel persecuted in some way, but I will say that I grew up as a Protestant Christian and I don’t think that the church is under attack, or that it’s getting persecuted. I think that since Protestants have been in the position of power in the USA since the inception of the country that it’s impossible for us to be “persecuted”. I think that people have realized that there are issues within the Protestant religion but that doesn’t mean the church is under attack, since it’s still in a position of power. I don’t think that if you’re in a position of power you can be persecuted in the way that they are describing, anyone having a problem with you doesn’t carry the same amount of weight/power/impact to it.
Thank you for your videos! Always really well done and interesting to watch! ❤
I agree that the church is not under attack, but I unfortunately know several people of different Protestant churches who do think they are under attack. They tend to be more evangelical than mainline.
The LDS church does tell people how to vote. For example, in 2018 when medical cannabis was on the ballot, the church sent mass emails to all the members in Utah telling them to vote "NO." The church is very controlling!
That was a moral issue...not a person. Be honest.
How is my comment deceptive?
@@PuppetHouse2716 Because the Church recommends a course of action to protect society and human life, it doesn't mean it's controlling. You are being deceptive because the issue was anyone could get it without a doctors consent. The Church is not against medical drugs and never has been. It was the wording in the bill.
@@derrickcox7761It’s still telling people how to vote which it claims it doesn’t do, which is dishonest on their part. They did with Prop H8 as well in 08
@@PuppetHouse2716 Well...more deception. Church had no problem with medical marijJana. The way the bill was written meant anyone could abuse it. Now it's been disastrous to society. The Church has right to protect its own members. No one is compelled to follow its advice.

23:53 when they are talking about a divide between non mormons and active mormons: there ARE parents who tell their kids not to play with non Mormon kids! I live in utah county as an exmo and this still goes on, people!
Maybe where you were...generally it's not the case.
You aren't going to find anyone teaching that it's a sin for your kids to hang out with non members.
@@taylorsessions4143 no one teaches it is a sin, but it is a cultural thing that is done when there are high concentrations of Mormons where I live. There is unofficial religious segregation. I was a Mormon from birth until just a few years ago. This is the experience I am having
@@PuppetHouse2716 I respect your experience. I was trying to clarify for anyone who doesn't have their own experience and is trying to understand. There are other religions that are so strict as to forbid contact with non members, but we are not one of them.

Thank you both for the eye opening and very well done video with Peter and of course this one. You both have so much respect for all and I love that!
I love Peter and can't wait to watch your video with him ❤xx
I have been watching you for a long time and learned many new things in this video.
In the late 80s, Orlando FL opened a temple and had a few weeks of non-member visitation beforebit was consecrated. Four of us went to get a look inside. Our shoes were covered by blue crime-scene booties. We had to stay silent. And the path we walked was set aside by stanchions with a member every 5-6 feet. We could peek into some rooms from the hallway, but some places were closed off. There was no explanation about anything!! It was quite beautiful and obviously took a lot of money to build, furnish, and decorate. The thing I found most fascinating was the baptismal pool (font) - a massive stainless steel bowl with stairs in from one edge and out the other. The whole thing was set on the backs of the twelve bulls mentioned in the video. The bulls were HUGE and were a surprising symbol. I'm very glad I had the opportunity to go and see it first hand, rather than just hear stories.
I as a Catholic, always wondered about those Catholics , that ate meat on Friday. As we were taught it was a Mortal Sin . Then one day , that policy / doctrine , went away …and voila , it wasn’t a Sin anymore. It just was so confusing to me and made me question many things . I couldn’t believe, that I actually believed what I was taught. GOD , wouldn’t send someone to hell for eating a chicken sandwich on a Friday . Seemed ridiculous in theory to me .
Same here....raised Catholic...??? Everything after I had my beautiful daughter out of wedlock and they wanted to excommunicated my mother for what I did....when I went to meet the pastor about getting my daughter baptized he refused and my daughter threw up on him 😮😮 BUT after a hefty fee the new priest baptized her and left my mother alone...She was very devout Catholic and served The Lord whole heartedly....God rest her beautiful soul. ..❤❤❤
@@sisterbluesky62 the exact same thing happened in my family to my sister … my poor Mother who was so devout . It was awful , my Father not a Catholic wanted to harm the priest .
Matthew 15:11-20 Jesus red letter words
It is not what goes into the mouth of a man that makes him unclean and defiled, but what comes out of the mouth; this makes a man unclean and defiles him.
I am still a Catholic. I often say, however, that the Church is probably producing many converts to Mormonism.
Former Catholic here. Catholics do not eat flesh meat on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and the Fridays of Lent as a form of fasting, contrition or penance in honor of Christ whose flesh was sacrificed on a Friday. I sometimes still do this on any random Friday with thoughts of honoring Christ but it is not tied to any religious requirement.
Question: why do LDS members pray with their arms crossed rather than placing their hands together? 🙏 seems to be universal for a lot of Christian denominations, is crossing the arms unique to the LDS church?
I’ve only seen Mormons do that.
It seems to be more common in other Denominations as well. One theory says that it helps children to concentrate during prayer. Probably this will be the best explanation, and it's a practice without much reason behind it.

I know I've commented a lot and I'm so sorry for that. I just want to close with this. I love and support what you guys are doing. I subscribed and liked the video. We all have our agency and I don't know your reasons for leaving the church but I always give people the benefit of the doubt that it might have been the best decision for you at this point in your lives. Most of my family has left the church including my mother and my older sister and her husband. It was hard at first but it's taught me to let go and let God and I've found a lot of comfort in that. Polygamy is still doctrine. Men can still be sealed to more than one woman if widowed or divorced, but women may not.
The “policy vs doctrine” is happening in fundamentalist Pentecostal churches too. In the 80’s we were raised that anyone who doesn’t speak in tongues regularly is going to hell. Also anyone who doesn’t adhere to the UPC dress standards. Now they’re trying to pretend a lot of that didn’t happen.
Please don't claim all Pentecostal churches are like that. I have never attended a Pentecostal church that says that. I have attended several here in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and BC 🇨🇦 from 1980 until present.
@@mienafriggstad3360 I will claim my experience and truth always, I have yet to experience a Pentecostal church that is not rooted in serious abuse and if they are an acts 2:38 church they absolutely believe that everyone who doesn’t speak in tongues regularly will go to hell. Please don’t claim that Pentecostal churches are safe spaces, because I was born and raised Pentecostal, I’ve attended several 1980’s and beyond and never experienced one that is 🤷♀️
@@s198203you are referring to specific denominations though not Pentecostalism as a tradition. There’s a big difference.

You are a courageous person and thank you for your channel. I will look forward to watching your videos. I wanted to share something that helped me. There is a youtube channel called 'Expedition Bible'. I follow this channel b/c I love history, etc. Amazingly, sometime this year a video from this site came up concerning the Bible versus J. Smith. It was one of the kindest approaches to try to help mormons understand the truth. The gentleman did not bash his friend over the head, but approached with love and kindness. It was not only informative for me, but also helped me learn a great deal. You and your wife are beautiful people and thank you again for sharing your story to help others have the courage to escape and find that there is true hope. Blessings. :)
I have been to a Mormon dinner at one of my tutoring student’s home. His father was the bishop of their ward & missionaries ate dinner with us as well. It was very interesting.
It seems very patronizing to feel “sad” for those who have chosen to leave. As if they can’t decide what is best for themselves, what feels true in their hearts, or what makes them fulfilled and happy.
We left the Mormon church 2 years ago. We still live in the ward boundaries. The ward members are wonderful people who still socialize with us... but I at least if not my husband as well can just feel the pity. It's offensive, but they just don't get it.
People are certainly free to choose what decisions that they want to make in life and we should honor that. Although, don’t be fooled into thinking that people always choose the best thing for themselves. Any honest look into human behavior and psychology will tell you that’s definelty not true.
So hypocritical to say that they can't feel a certain way about me feeling a certain way. If you are free to feel a certain way, reciprocate that freedom to others.
Dispensation of the fullness of time, that's a mouthful, lol. Thank you for explaining.
You guys did so great on the new Peter Santenello video. I’m curious about what you said about most Warren followers have moved out of Short Creek. This was excellent Sam and Melissa ❤️

I live in Wyoming and they are building a LDS temple by my house. It did not go up in 2 weeks but it was all built with pre-fabricated cubes. It was really interesting to watch the progress of it.
Thanks for sharing

Peter is cool stuff! 😊
Because during the apocalypse we really need prefabricated temples to survive, lol
I was wondering, is there a reason behind the crossing of arms during prayer? I’ve seen that on several shows, including Sister Wives.
Thanks for covering these videos. I want to watch them, but for me watching without commentary is a bit boring so I prefer this. Thanks for pushing back on some things said here that had me, a never Mormon, saying "Come on!" at my computer screen when they were being less than truthful. Polygamy is foundational doctrine of all Mormonism, not a policy. Also, I think the things about being in the latter days and wanting to convert people are really central to Mormonism, because they believe it is a restored church, so there is an urgency there that maybe other Christians don't always have. I agree that some of this new openness or relaxed stances that the church has adopted come from being exposed (people filming in temples etc) rather than a genuine desire to be transparent. It's shocking to me how little members seem to know about their own faith in comparison to never Mormons sometimes. Like Melissa was saying about temple prep classes vs. when she actually did her endowments. This is very different than say my growing up in church where we had classes for first communion and confirmation, but it was much more transparent and we even rehearsed what we would do (kinda like a wedding rehearsal) so everyone would know their part. Granted, I don't really view these experiences as consensual or positive now as an adult, but I at least had a greater amount of consent than most Mormons have. Also, thank you for further explaining about "callings" because that language means something very different in other parts of Christianity.
Thank you for clearing up the comment about the people who stayed behind with Emma! I am born and raised RLDS (now known as Community of Christ). I appreciate you knowing that and making it clear!
So the religious group that stayed behind with Emma still exists? That was a question I had while watching this video.
Yes! We have existed since the split when Brigham went west. There were other groups that went in different directions too. One group followed Sidney Rigdon because they felt he should have been the next prophet. I think there is another one too that I am forgetting right now. But the RLDS reorganized and continued on. Many people have called it “Emma’s church”. We are a small denomination but we are world wide. We are now known as Community of Christ. Personally I have ancestors that traveled with Brigham and ancestors that stayed with Emma.
Crossing arms to pray is a posture that was unfamiliar to me. Any special reason for that?
They say it's about reverence but Jesus stretched His hands out and up to pray.
I just found you guys through Peter's channel. So nice hearing your firsthand accounts. I grew up in Farmington, NM and had a number of Mormon (mostly non-observant) friends. But, I never really knew much about the beliefs then, however, found out more later on.
Could you explain the belief of Jesus and Satan being brothers?
And how does they explain the lack of any archeological evidence for the previous civilization Joseph Smith claimed.
And lastly, how does the LDS church explain away the warnings against another Jesus (first question for example) and another gospel as stated in
2 Corinthians 11:4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.
It always amuses me that pictures of Jesus often show him as blonde and with super pale skin
Why care about what anybody's skin color is or what it is on any picture. It's a distraction
When you were on your two-year mission in Chile, and people would ask you questions and be… All the things… Would you ever question your own faith and what you had been told? I just started following you guys and I’m just fascinated and perhaps you can point me to a video where you go through how you’re transformation came about and what you went through and what you’re living now.
In the FLDS, one of the many rules in the United Order was no pork.
Thank you 😊
I'm active LDS - and I actually prefer people of all faiths and belief systems to come to Utah. I live in Utah county, and I actually know the couple that hosted that dinner for Peter. I don't have the goal of converting people - I just want my kids to know about more faiths, and to have that experience with more kinds of people. So this varies a little bit.
Dear Sam,
When did the FLDS women start wearing “prairie dresses”?
Were they always pastels?
Yes, I’ve watched every one of your videos & I have no idea which one has the answer!!
Thanks. 😊
Hi! Thank you for your question. This topic might be better explained in a video. The short answer is that it has really only been strictly enforced since Rulon Jeffs (Warren's father) became their prophet. It later became even more strictly enforced by Warren Jeffs. The FLDS always went above and beyond with their modesty rules but not always like it is now.
I went to church with my cousin and wore jeans and never been judged more! I was was like 14 😂
Hi guys, I was just wondering if the FLDS also believes in baptizing the dead who have not already been baptized?
Can you explain why the folding of the arms during prayer rather than folding hands?
Great video
Caring for ancestors is sweet, telling them what to do is, well weird to me. Also is there a fee for this proxy thing? You guys are very sweet and I love Peter, he can talk to anyone with genuine respect. I learned a lot from this. I wasn't raised religious so this is fascinating
The fee is 10% of your income forever

There is no fee for proxy ordinances. We don't tell our ancestors what to think. We believe that certain ordinances are required to be saved and exalted. Baptism, for instance. So if it's absolutely necessary and required, but you died before you even heard about Jesus Christ or had a chance to be baptized, what then? Are you just out of luck? No. A living person can do the ordinance for you by proxy, and you can choose to accept it or not. Jesus Christ himself was the ultimate proxy. He gave himself as ransom for us.
@@gwengold8154 thank you for your perspective on that I guess I didn't really think people were telling ancestors what to do, I was getting a little ruffled by some of the other elements, which I see as demands, of the religion. Indeed reaching out and offering them the opportunity to be baptized is a kindness.

Your explanation of baptism for the dead is the best I’ve heard. Problem is, it whitewashes a couple of facts.
1- You can’t participate in temple ordinances without a recommend. Can’t get a recommend unless you pay your tithe.
(Endowment, marriage, sealing and baptism for the dead are the only temples ceremonies, correct?)
2-Those who have heard the message, those who become inactive or left the church.. if they pass away, a relative can do the saving ordinances for them, correct?
For most people, this sounds like mental gymnastics.
@nanakoosa1 you're welcome 😊 and thank you for your perspective. It is what people call a high demand religion. Because we believe that the natural man is an enemy to God and we strive to let the spiritual man win. I just watched a video about this subject last night. It was so good. It is called Bryce on temple symbols Ep 3 if you have any interest.
both of you look very spiritual
1:56:30 Very interesting that he wouldn't pray and "feel peace about it" or whatever as well before he said yes.
This series is very interesting. I'm a proud Roman Catholic and have had not so great run ins with some Mormons. Obviously there are good and bad people in any religion. These folks seem nice.
RC here as well! Love the Mormon themed podcasts- interesting history, theology, culture. Not on this channel, but many commenters will still criticize the RC Church roundly. They will bring up the priest SA scandal endlessly. I know the RC Church was called something like “the great satan” by previous generations of Mormons. As for me, I respect all and hold my beliefs to myself.
I mean I grew up protestant Christian in Indiana, and we still felt like we were being picked on.
This Emma Smith story is what I was taught. There was a lot of blame on Emma in what I was taught.
1:52:46 Church building vs a temple? Can someone kindly explain? Thanks
Peters recent videos were so well done. It makes me feel safe knowing people out there still believe and have morals and follow them. Every religion has bad eggs. For the most part the LDS people are beautiful ❤
Religious groups don’t have a monopoly on morals and values.
I'm a non-denominational Protestant Christian. I can't say I feel "picked on" for my faith or ever have. Obviously, it's a majority religion, plus a lot of people I know are Christians. Those who aren't don't usually have many issues with it outside of some people having bad experiences with crappy Christians. With those people, I just take it as an opportunity to show them that not all Christians are like that, and many of us are kind, loving people (as we should be).
I have maybe a silly question....why does the LDS or FLDS pray by folding their arms and not just hands? Is there a reason or teaching.
It's just a show of reverence. We are taught to fold our arms and bow our heads during a prayer to show respect and reverence for God. During morning and evening prayers, it is customary to kneel. This shows reverence and respect.
We also use respectful language such as thee, thou, thy, etc. It can be quite jolting for us to hear God addressed as "you" by Protestants and others.
Okay thank you 😊
@@meganyorkie9007 You're welcome 😊
This guys series really, really bothers me. You can hear the brainwashing oozing out of every member. I would have said the same things when i was in the church. Now being out its so hard to see this stuff.
Agreed
How funny I’m re doing my 72 hour packs right now. Living in Mt where anything can happen in -17 deg weather…and coming from Ca where earth quakes and flash floods happen … it’s good advice…but yeah. So much of this is rooted in fear not faith. I do love that they read and are thinking a d choosing to dog deep!!!! But we have to be open and aware…that we could be wrong….
Has the channel ever reacted to HBO’s Big Love?
No because it's a completely fictional show. They are awair of the show; many people have ask them to review it

Is all of Doctrine and Covenants a policy?
My mom always said the end is near too
There is a major disconnect in the LDS church. On one hand, people will say that Heavenly Father is just a loving forgiving father who wants us to be happy. On the other hand, they say “wickedness never was happiness” and there are many rules and details on how to live our life in order to return to him. The definition of wickedness includes pretty much everything, and LDS people will judge and shame others for wearing tank tops, drinking coffee, watching a rated R movie, etc. etc. it is a major disconnect.
Because you have to earn your way to heaven by obedience to these commandments on earth. Earth life is your time to prove yourself and be tested. Yet by the grace of Christ’s atonement you are saved (after all you can do). It’s very confusing
