Given the seriousness of what Warren Jeffs was sent to prison for, particularly relating to children, i'm not sure why law enforcement wouldn't take much more seriously the risk that anyone who still follows him could be! Even if it's people who are related to those children.
Exactly. What kinds of cops are they? There used to be FLDS members as cops in Short Creek. They enforced Warren's laws before the laws of the land, and the State of Utah paid them anyway!

I know for a fact that not all are reported as such. A good friend of mine left the Allred group in 2005. A few months later her children were hidden by the Rocky Ridge group during a scheduled visit with their father. I drove from cedar city with her to that area and we knocked on doors all night. The police would do nothing. We were told numerous times to leave it alone. Her 6 children were aged 3 to 12 at the time. For months we searched for them. We took it to the attorney General in Salt Lake. She was finally able to get somewhere because she was actually a first wife and had a bit more legal standing to get her case into court. In the end she got custody of her younger 4 back. The older two remained in the group because during that time away from her they were told awful things about her. It was absolutely terrible to watch.
I used to work in child welfare years ago and we were taught in foster care to try our hardest to keep children in one home during their whole time away from their biological home to do the least harm. When a child is passed from home to home it makes it difficult for children to build healthy bonds with others and makes them subject to abuse because it is difficult for them to recognize dangerous situations or not being able to connect appropriately with others. I wonder how many children develop reactive attachment disorder due to these practices. How heartbreaking. Thank you for sharing this story.
Incredibly sad, law enforcement needs to seriously investigate all these “runaways” and kidnapping until they can speak with the child and see them physically
Thanks to the "defund the police" movement across America, police departments do not have the resources to do that. Elections have consequences.

One of these "runaways" was recovered last spring in North Dakota. There are FLDS members settling in ND as well.
Why is Warren Jeffs allowed to have any communications with anyone period. He should be in solitary confinement without any privileges.

Gosh, I had no idea this was still happening. There was talk of it months ago, but I guess I just assumed when Bateman was arrested and charged that it was dealt with. I mistakenly thought he was the only one doing this. It's scary to know this is still going on, especially given the "revelations" you guys have covered. I could absolutely see Warren ordering a mass suicide or something like that, especially since he stands no chance of getting out. I hope all the children are found safe soon.

If a parent takes a child from another parent, that is absolutely against the law. I don't understand why law enforcement isn't doing more to stop this.
If the parents are married and there are no divorce proceedings, it is not illegal to move your children. Otherwise the courts would be totally clogged with people who are annoyed with their spouse and use the law to get back at a spouse
The kindness of strangers is what helps anyone who has been abused as a child start to learn there are good people in the world and other ways of living.
Question: the mothers depicted are the childrens' legal guardians. How can the police side with "the religeon?" Even if the kids are with "family" - they are not legal guardians/parents, etc. In some states, just like we saw when that boy was taken by his mother to Alaska, the father was named legal guardian and she was labeled a criminal, this becomes "kidnapping."
Women's standing in Utah is still lower than a man's socially, and in many areas if a woman is claiming her child is gone or missing or with thier 'father' the cultural idea is that the kids are better off.

Child trafficking is so common in the US and their are people in positions of power who are involved. And also others who aren't, don't make it a priority to solve the issue. Its not surprising that these people are getting away with it.
I really hope these woman can get attorneys to help them since the cops won’t do anything bc they have rights. Also when I hear warrens voice it makes me feel sick, he is one of the creepiest creeps ever.
Since most FLDS have their children either at home or in that birth center, are the children undocumented? Like when you were born did they submit the paperwork to the government or are some children unaccounted for?
Everyone that I know of there had ssn’s and birth certificates. Many had passports as well. Idk if that’s changed since I left 6 yrs ago, but I believe most are documented
I don't know the truth, but I think they did document the children because they wanted food stamps. They wouldn't be able to claim the children for benefits purposes without a registered birth certificate.
The ones who don't have birth certificates are the ones who were born when their parents had gone to "zion"

These moms need to go file for full custody of their kids and they will be able to take law enforcement with them to find their kids. I had to file for full custody of my son when his dad wouldn't give him to me, the police said he had just as much custody of my son as I did, so ....

Can you please give some Insights into polygamy and infertility? What happens to sister wifes who cannot have children and husbands who are infertile?
Moving the kids also helps the church with the scams regarding welfare/ child credits/ food stamps, and even the charges of polygamy.
There has to be some way or rallying all of these moms, getting in front of the Capitol, and demanding their children out of the abuse.

There's a UA-camr that's a LDS he's called outdoor boys or the outdoor boys and they look like the missing children careful though he is highly educated and involved with the government he's one of those dads that's about 70 and all his kids are 4/ 5 and 8
