good stabilization but im not blown away by the stabilization.
Thanks for posting this, but honestly the Sony FX30 IBIS doesn't look that stabilized. Looks like most the stability comes from you manually holding the camera steady as opposed to the camera. My Google Pixel is more stable. I was thinking of upgrading from the Sony Alpha ZV-E10 to the FX30, but I have to wonder if the ZV-E10 with just an OSS lense is better than the FX30 with IBIS.
I own both cameras and the fx30 is definitely more stable. The e10 only has a digital stab.
1.25 crop?
Yes, a slight crop when using Active Stabilization, but none with Standard. I pretty much always use Active when going handheld, and the crop doesn't bother me.
I'm still in a dilemma now whether to go for fx30 or s5ii. Currently using Panasonic g85 and its a beast when i shoot wedding videos especially when I shoot solo run and gun because the ibis helps me a lot switching from gimbal to handheld. the Panasonic stabilization is a must for me however i kinda prefer sony color looks and variety of their third party lenses but just cant with Sony's amateur stabilization, i dont want the Hussle to use catalyst browse software for each 100 clips. I have never used a vlog pp before on Panasonic because g85 has none of the log profiles not sure if it is similar to sony S log so I can use a variety of luts
Great question! I made a video response: ua-cam.com/video/IcKymT7xVV8/v-deo.html
Why switch from the G85?
@@rsmith02 need better colors, 10 bit and LOG
Can you make a video walking and shooting at the same time?
I have that footage recorded, I will make a separate vid for it
The only reason I'm not moving to Sony (from Lumix) is the poor IBIS. After using my s5 and s5II I can't stand such shaky footage from Sony.
It's definitely something that made me take a closer look at s5ii. My problem is I am so deep into the Sony ecosystem that it makes it really difficult to switch. I love my lenses, especially my power zoom 18-105mm. When you put that one together with Fx30 it is the perfect run and gun combo
I saw some focus breathing in the beginning
slightly off topic question but what is the name of the song starting at 0:34 ? I've searched for it but cant find it. It's beautiful. I love it.
It's in the description
@@MichaelWTurner oooh, my eyes jumped that. I checked out soundstripe by didn't find it. Thanks man!
Hey guys I just bought the fx30 it’s my first camera and I can’t get any good footage the quality is trash I tried every setting in UA-cam helppppe
Are you shooting slog?
Yeah s log3 and cine el my lens is sel18-55 oss kit lens
@Only The Members I pretty much knew that. You really need to be very accurate with your exposure when shooting log. There's other vids on my channel about it, but I can guarantee you if you simply turn off log and either turn the Picture Profile Off, or set it to PP4 or PP11 or anyone that you happen to like, your results will improve drastically. Maybe this vid will help some ua-cam.com/video/mDjSPvSijWs/v-deo.html. Everyone keeps pushing log on youtube like it is necessary in all situations, but for me, it is always more of a nuisance
Great shot.
We don't know which lens was used in the video.
Sorry about that. It's in the description tamron 17-70mm f2.8
