- WWE 2K24 Showcase mode could receive a big shake up. We saw the Rey Mysterio Showcase and the John Cena showcase in WWE 2k23. But Could the 2k24 showcase let us down? could it look vastly different next year? we're discussing that in todays video.

A faction-based showcase or showcases would be kinda dope. You have The Bloodline, JD, DX, Evolution, and so on.

They need to let us unlock everything by just playing the match.not a chore list to do. It should go straight into cutscenes by themselves not specific spots

I'd prefer rivalries for showcase instead of just one person's career..... Triple H Vs Batista, Kane Vs Undertaker, Orton Vs Foley etc.
I'd not mind some original stories. I loved that stuff in some the early Smackdown vs. Raw games. They got the talent to make some fun storylines. That's all I want.
they should randomize and we get a mix of playing as the main wrestler and his opponents with matches mixed up with wins and losses

2k14 was one of my favorite games because of the 30 years of wrestlemania showcase. I wish 40 years would return for 2k24

I liked it more when the cutscenes was in game like when orton caught Christian with a rko on the stairs in 2k15 that's so much cooler seeing it go between game and real footage
I'd like the whole Monday Night War Showcase mode between WWE Raw and WCW Nitro, with ECW involvement, that would end with the invasion angle.

I agree the SuperCharger should unlock Everything, but there should be a Prompt when you load up the game, as i actually prefer playing through and unlocking things but i dont get the choice? As soon as i load up the game its automatically unlocked everything from me, so from Day One (ish) my grind has already disappeared!
My problem with the slingshot to real footage is that we're getting to the point where like half the screen is sensored and will be even worse if they do an Undertaker, Triple H, HBK etc showcase where so much of their career was in the WWF look at the Cena showcase there were random signs blured and even the refs face was blurred because they didn't want to pay the ref now imagine those and all the WWF logos that were plastered all over especially in the attitude era
I only played the John Cena showcase to get the 2 new Lita attires. I should've gotten them with the Accelerator/Supercharger anyways.
Would love to see a showcase for a Womans wrestler. Trish Stratus just had a 8 month run, it would be nice if they did a showcase of a couple woman and their first (or one of their first) WWE matches and then a later one and then their last match and a recent return match. (Like they could do Trish vs Stephanie, then Trish vs Lita Main Event, Trish vs Mickie (since Mickie James has always been a free agent), Trish vs Lita at unforgiven, and then some of Trish's more recent matches (Charlotte, Becky, Mania) then do some Lita matches like Lita vs Chyna, and Lita vs Stephanie and again her more recent matches. And this is just 2 woman, they could do so many!)
i think 2K should approach it differently similar to 2K15 where we had different showcases of moments in WWE rather than superstars focused i wouldn’t mind an ECW, WCW, or notable talents reminiscing their first match on PPV or TV showcase it’s refreshing and it’ll introduce a demographic to watch WWE archive
I would love HBK showcase, my problem with Randy and Taker is no Edge, tbh to me 2k22 and 23 showcase was lack luster and short, wish they gave us long ones again like 2k14 and multiple ones like 2k15
I know that so many male superstars are in the showcases in WWE 2K, but what about another women's showcase too? Like I wanna see Chyna and Trish Stratus showcases, like they did an Attitude Era in WWE Classics, but now I wanna see these two female legends in showcases in WWE 2K24, and we are gonna looooove that!!!!!😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥
Random gripe: I'm pissed off that they took out HBK's turnbuckle flip (I know it's Ray Stevens bump originally, don't come for me).
Tozawa showcase is a instant buy. Kinda sad they wouldn’t include any of his dragon gate stuff but him on the cover would be perfect
They took out commentary because people said it "broke the immersion" because it wasn't the actual commentators who were there for the match, but now that it's gone it's even less immersive
I forgot Orton did his best Sheamus impersonation to Cena that one time lol

Give us chance to get more theme music for custom wrestlers, trons as well.For me 13 matches isn’t enough for showcase either
Showcase is alright but the way they want us to unlock is bad and annoying.i spent to long not getting the right move its annoying. They need to let the cutscenes play out without it being specific moves or spots
If I were 2k, I would plan Showcase Mode in a way that I utilize a story that will surely feature characters that are WITHOUT A DOUBT under contract with WWE.
Thus, I completely agree with your The Bloodline suggestion. ALL major characters are there (except for Edge and Daniel Bryan when they challenged Roman)

My idea was to do a main 4 PPV showcase for any of the 4 so you can have say the best matches of Summerslam or WrestleMania
Showcase has always been a one and done for me and the ONLY reason I play it is because the unlocker doesn't unlock all the showcase stuff. I actually find it annoying.
I’m just tired of the automatic cutscenes when this stuff should be in core gameplay.
Showcase hasnt been the same since the Stone Cold Showcase. It was the longest we've had so far. And it was a wrestler worth playing through it with. Everyone loves Stone Cold. But Showcase if they choose to keep it around. Should only have it be old school wrestlers. The only good showcases have been from 2k15 & 16.
Dude you have to remember there are no more popular wrestlers with story lines because they did them all. And some of those wrestlers that people liked are no longer in the WWE, the only thing they have left are the women showcase but that will never happen because most players are male not female. Even though some players like to play with female wrestlers.
I want to see an Import feature like we had in Legends of WrestleMania so we can add Superstars (including themes/trons) from past games.. Being able to import Jeff Hardy from 2K22 into 2K24 etc!
They could do a new game mode like "The Streak" in 2k14 but based in The Bloodline or with The Undertaker (Even if The Streak is already broken)
I remember in SvR 2011 you need to play Universe mode to unlock characters. 1 match unlocks Goldust, 3 unlocks William Regal, arenas and characters, belt, PPV and more.... Remember it like today, tag Champs is Miz and The Big Show. I played on PS2....as a child, money was tight, so I found an option for myself, downloading the ISO format and burning it to disk, and made the cover through a printer. then sold it in the yard
My thing is I just don’t like the no commentary. The best showcase mode they had was the one from WWE13. Now obviously it wasn’t called showcase but it was the best version of this game mode. 2K15 was the best recent version however
It would be cool if they did original stories or what if, with the same documentary interviews in-between, hire some wrestlers to talk about moments in the story like there real, for example if they did a undertaker vs sting what if you could have sting or undertaker talk about it like it actually happened or it would be interesting if they did a mortal kombat thing with multiple story endings after a tower.
I miss the road to WrestleMania i know they aint going to do that again to distant them selves from THQ era, these could be the closest things to that , it would be totally different from what we have had in the past but similar.
This is what I thought I missed the commentary of the matches and the generic music during the match I just found irritating to be honest
I would love to see a Showcase focused on The Undertaker that focuses on his biggest matches both wins and losses but have it to where during the matches he wins we play as the WWE Hall of Famer but during the matches he loses we play as the opponent who beat him. And for matches I think we should start with his debut at Survivor Series 1990 and go all the way to his final match the Boneyard Match against AJ Styles at WM36. As for moments we'll have to go through some of the big ones including his multiple reinventions aka his start with the gimmick of undead funeral parlor owner, to his return as the heel leader of the Ministry of Darkness later Corporate Ministry after The Corporation, and the Ministry of Darkness fused into one faction after that one less then great reveal of the Ministry's true leader the Higher Power that is infamous amongst wrestling fans, to his transformation into the fan-favorite gimmick known as The American Badass during both the babyface and heel periods of that gimmick, to his return as the Deadman, ending with his final gimmick the so-called fusion gimmick seen in the Boneyard Match the one that fused all 3 gimmicks Deadman, Ministry, and American Badass into one.
Along with some of his best feuds including the feud against Kane, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Stone Cold Steve Austin, AJ Styles, Edge, CM Punk to a name a few.
@Assmble even though show case is fun I think they should do a wm 40 show case because in wwe 2k25 would make sense and the other 2k show cases they could do is one focusing on ECW or bray Wyatt as those 3 makes sense if they do a show case mode as those 3 have been highly requested by the 2k community in terms of show cases that is if they even do one.
With my faction mode should have actual faction that you have make your own faction & beat each faction from different eras & shows plus unlock wrestlers in the faction like DX, LOD, Demolition
They need to get rid of that stupid cut to real life thing and just keep it as a in game cutscene
I hated the John cena one, the fact they lied about the rvd match and didn’t show the audience throwing items at cena bothers me, it would of been sick wrestling while stuff is being thrown

@@sodokami6347 I just wanted the crowed to resemble what really happened that day and people really hated cena during that match I wish they would make them more realistic idk I haven’t even gotten the new wwe game because no point yet I have wwe2k22 and enjoy it still I’ll only upgrade once they force shutdown multiplayer which is happening soon I hate how they always shut down their online nobody plays wrestling games to wrestle by themselves
@@Uzdefized Yeah it’s a bummer could’ve added more to the crowds than them being robotic. Sucks when the servers go down the CC goes down as well.

I feel like we need a longer showcase showing more of a superstars carrier. Like undertaker, Kane, triple h or hbk for example, he’ll even a dx showcase would a be a cool twist. You can get a lot out of their history in wwe and solve the lack of legends at the same time by letting us unlock them via the showcase. I was think Roman could work for this but due to the ambrose side of things we will probably never get a Seth or Roman showcase of any decent quality.
The reason to even play showcase for me is get the achievements and trophies along with the unlockables in showcase
I lowkey want them to bring back the 2K15 rivalries showcase, featuring some of the best rivalries in history (remember cena vs punk and hhh vs hbk). I hope 2K goes back to that system instead of doing another career showcase
I would love to see a HBK showcase. If they do it from the start of his Career from Taxes to AwA to early WWE to 90's to his 2nd run the amount they could do with Arenas and Wrestlers would be incredible, And so there are not to many versions they could have like early Shawn with different attires, rockers Shawn with different attires, early 90's Shawn with different attires, 96-98 Shawn on wards different attires. 2nd run 1st half different attires and then 2nd run 2nd half different attires that way it limits the amount of different Shawn's we could get. With Marty J we could get the Rockets version of course and the singles version we could unlock when they face each other, and after completing the showcase you could unlock a Morde-ish version of Marty by playing a bones match of Marty Vs Angle. Would be great To Have Sharri return to WWE games As well as Sid, Tatanka , Rick Martel, Tito, and others Aswell As summerslam at Wembley (92) , AwA Arena, MSG and More.
So I originally thought you did not like showcase mode but you do make some valid points and I like nostalgia and old school unlockables so here’s to hoping 2k listen
Hell drop the showcase mode if they could give us a better universe mode and more animations on double or tripple title entrances
NWO Showcase would be awesome but at this time, it is unduelable! Big Show ( the Giant ) and Sting are in AEW And you can't have a NWO Showcase mode without those 2
It's going to be so hard for them going forward, so many ex wrestlers are now in other companies that they can't use them.... Name a showcase for someone's career that won't feature any of these guys,girls or legends?! It's going to be hard.
I really liked the idea of road to WrestleMania in SVR series where had Jericho, DX,undertaker 5 different stories and that could a interesting showcase type mode
It was revealed on Twitter that Brock is the cover star & could possibly be the showcase with the title “The Next Big Thing” highlights of his career/ retirement plans

2K24 should emphasize classic rivalries & feuds for Showcase Mode like it was originally presented in 2K15. It feels like a chore going through 1 lengthy campaign mode following the story of just one wrestler. It would feel balanced and less contrived to offer 2 different rivalries with a healthy list of matches to relive in Showcase Mode. Endless opportunities.
I personally think they should just get rid of showcase mode but if not then I thought instead of just one superstar, maybe first champiionship wins like Shawn Michaels winning against Bret Hart or Kofi Kingston vs Danial Bryan. Also I think all of the objectives should be in a drop menu or pause menu so instead of just doing one thing after another we just play a match and do everything in any order
i agree with you assemble the showcas was lackluster and the stopping and starting to see what moves to do next was tiring and it wasn't fun, 2k needs to stop having the dlc and downloaded created wrestlers from the creation suite only available online annoying, have it available offline too because it's a waste of time to download the wrestlers and dlc and you can't play with them offline.
They need an improved return of create a Storyline mode, where you can just create things on the fly this time.
I feel like it should be a 40 years of WrestleMania showcase . Kinda like 2k14 but with the extra 10 years best matches, and also 2-3 DLC showcases (Randy Orton, Ric Flair and CM Punk) just to name a few.
Another thing 8s entrances I would love to see the entrances form those times and not just bits and pieces while john cena blabs his mouth About Kurt angle and sure when you win the rewards and then see them but I just want t9 see it think it would another aspect of excitement to see how the crowds react to your superstar

I really liked the quicktime events they used to have in Showcase cutscenes. I think they should return those instead of having to perform combos to advance into cutscenes
They should bring back season mode with choice of playing as a superstar or created wrestler.

The 2 best showcase modes were 30YOWM from WWE 2K14 and Attitude Era from WWE 13... I want Ruthless Aggression mode. I hate that the focus is always on 1 guy
I think they should add multiple showcases like in 2k15 when they had cm punk and Cena and triple H and Shawn (plus more with DLC) I think they should do more like this
I tell people all the time commentary is important in these wrestling games. The in ring action is the music & the commentary is the lyrics. It goes hand in hand with one another…
I just hope the next showcase is an attitude wrestler. Preferably hbk, taker, hhh, or rock.. and that could easily by like 30 matches
WWE2K still has a version of Shop cash. You specifically get everything from only there if you buy the Supercharger.

Showcase is linear 1 & done. The way that they can change things up is having an alternate history. Win or lose lead to a different paths. They could be pivotal points in history & not having combos or breakers that have nothing to do with the match or story. Or they could do the best thing & NOT doing a showcase at all.

I saw an earlier comment on here that said the showcase mode as it is now, feels like a chore and I agree. Idk about you guys, but while I enjoy the current gen of superstars, I'm a bigger fan of the Attitude Era so I have a bias for wanting to relive that era on the current gen of consoles. That said, I think the Showcase Mode wanting to focus on stuff post 2003 doesn't really feel worthy of playing through. DLC for NXT stars is ridiculous, unlockables through Showcase Mode for 10 different versions of John Cena is ridiculous. I agree that bringing back the WWE Shop would be the best way to implement unlockables for other content in the game. example:
Showcase Mode should be reserved for characters, arenas that we've never had in a WWE game before or that we haven't had since at the PS2 era.
NXT stars shouldn't be DLC. Maybe revamp MyFaction and put those new characters on there and allow us to unlock them in other modes of the game after playing through it.
WWE Shop gets implemented to be able to purchase different eras of certain superstars (possibly legends) like John Cena, The Rock, Undertaker, Triple-H, HBK, Stone Cold, etc, along with arena unlockables that can be unlocked by playing through other modes in the game w/ a task. Like, for example, if WCW Thunder was included as an unlockable in the WWE Shop, the way to unlock it could be in My GM; where your SmackDown show goes up against a WCW show and if your SmackDown show rating is higher than the WCW show after a certain number of weeks or so while having a former WCW star on your SmackDown, you'd unlock WCW Thunder. It makes it fun to play through that mode and incentivizes you to strategize

I would love if they , I wont say get rid of it but tweak it alittle like I remember in NBA 2k14 they had something similar to showcase mode instead of going through Lebrons best games they created random stories while we follow Lebron into retirement they should do that for WWE 2k

I’m not going to lie I’m starting to hate showcase mode … i miss the road to WrestleMania mode where you get to play as random wrestlers and go through original storylines that we had no idea how it would turn out … it probably won’t happen because of MyRise getting all the attention in that aspect but idk.. Showcase mode is just a day 1 play through for unlockables … literally wasting space

2k Showcase, but you unlock my faction cards instead of wrestlers you can use in exhibition mode
After two years of playing Showcase, I’m in favor of an overhaul or just eliminate it. In theory it seemed fun but I would never go back to it after playing it once. I’m more interested in modes that have a greater ability to replay and have depth. I wish they concentrate on cleaning up the other modes instead of wasting time of the developers on this mode. It never flowed seamlessly for me personally. Just my opinion.
