My company, for instance, has never - in its 18 year existence, had anything like an "employee of the month" - but used to recognize employees based on merit and unique accomplishments in their duties. But in reaction to the events of the last several years, the company decided to develop a DIEB working group with outside consultant support - which has now instituted a "Highlighted Employee of the Month, sponsored by DIEB" -- guess what type of employees are NOT in the running to be recognized? This type of policy is not good, from any angle, against any group, from any perspective. It will not lead to good.

This is a fact. If I have an accident there is only one main factor with few exceptions that determine where the blood comes from if I have to have a direct transfusion and that is blood type. It does not depend on the color of skin, socioeconomic status religion how I / you were raised or our belief in anything or where we live though out this whole wide world. There is only one RACE on planet Earth. The human race. That should be the driving force constituting our actions. And if not we are doomed as a species.
Just remember that kids now at the age of four are "learning" the opposite of what you were taught at that age. For example, in the future: "Of course there's no such thing as men or women. It's all a social construct. I learned that at age four." My point being that our society isn't just currently ridiculous for reasons like this video, but also its very foundation is being eroded, and is setting itself up for complete collapse due to insidious indoctrination of our future generations.
Mind control through the education system. The system is designed so that people associate their own identity and self-worth, with their success along an academic path. That path was set early in life. Achieve this and you'll be worthy. Except, they move the goal posts each time. So now we have 50-60 year old Bureaucrats, who are completely dependent on the system for identity, and self worth. It's a cult.
Being from the UK, I had never heard of Brian Mast until I watched this video and I'm incredibly impressed by him. He clearly, calmly and eloquently makes the only possible, sensible case when it comes to diversity. Skill, attributes, leadership, positivity and everything else first, THEN by all means, make your military or company diverse. Do it the other way around and you will guarantee a second rate military, or whatever organisation it happens to be. "The best" is dependent upon tangible skillsets, not race, sexuality or creed.
Diversity of skills and talents too 😊 Everyone not same but that sharing same mission, is the secret of a good society. And the mission is pretty simple : "want and help other to be at advantage". By protect them, teach them, support them, all many ways possibles.
There should be no diverse criteria, the same argument applies. Meritocracy is the only way to have a useful functioning society. Are they the best person for the job? that's it nothing more. And I thank you for putting it this way, because everyone’s favorite argument is “you’re a racist!” and “you just want white people to -insert here-“.. and that’s absolutely not the case.. it is simply, can we please get back to “whoever is most qualified for the job, gets the job?”.. no one cares (or, no reasonable, logical American cares) what the color of their fkn skin is, or what “private parts” someone has, we just want the person that will serve their duty better than anyone else.. why is it so difficult to leave it that simply? Does anyone else see how this is taking us backwards? We're regressing here folks. We are delving deeper into a segregationist society - where race/color becomes the pre-eminent criteria, or filter as Rep. Mast says, upon which to base all sorts of decisions.

THIS IS THE BEST EXPLANATION I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!!!!!
Extremely well spoken. Thought-provoking questions. I hope people are listening.
This is something I learned at the age of four. I cannot believe we have to still discuss this with people in these roles.
Exactly, that’s what I’m saying since three years, I cannot believe that we are devoluting as a specie.
I learned that at age four."
My point being that our society isn't just currently ridiculous for reasons like this video, but also its very foundation is being eroded, and is setting itself up for complete collapse due to insidious indoctrination of our future generations.
Right!?!?! But now we have children in leadership roles so things have changed. Unfortunately!
Diversity of skills and talents too 😊
Everyone not same but that sharing same mission, is the secret of a good society. And the mission is pretty simple : "want and help other to be at advantage". By protect them, teach them, support them, all many ways possibles.
You are right...and that is just what we are getting here in the states now
Why would you want to make your company "diverse" at all. This will only reduce the efficiency and profitability of the company.
This is just because he has the higher position here.
If the roles were switched, he would be cut off at every corner
There should be no diverse criteria, the same argument applies.
Meritocracy is the only way to have a useful functioning society. Are they the best person for the job? that's it nothing more. If this means all of the jobs are taken by white people or by gay people or black people so be it, because it has nothing to do with those attributes and everything to do with their ability.
