  • What is up with that haircut!?! The Bedlington Terrier is one of the most kind, adoring pets you could have...but what is up with that haircut!?! Loyal, charming, and fun but don't let that fool you. They are a Graceful terrier in sheep's clothing. The Bedlington terrier is one of the most tenacious badger dogs known to man nor beast. Don't let their lamb-like looks fool you, Bedlingtons were bred to chase small animals, and that's what they do best. So why would you want to know how to make your dog look like a lamb? The Bedlington trim has reasons for the lamb look.

And say your little sister was a tuck up, thanks 🧛🏻‍♀️🧑‍🍼 my imagination is crazy. Really big fan of the brother in law & the worry for his mental health journey; maybe they didn’t get paid enough to compensate for the inconvenience.
And wow, if only I was a fashion student again back on old Compton street in soho, watching business men in suits pull on rent boys chains as young women enter the pub. How on earth did they end up under those kind of life circumstance’s.
And how do they get the dogs hair to look so fluffy Afro, to be able to clip the chopped in dip at the back of the neck, my bedlington’s hair never looks so thick, I must be doing something wrong. It’s like they’ve been blow dried by Richard o’Brian in a hairdryer the size of the crystal maze. My sister will have to inform me what her tuck up was…but everyone seems to being evasively shy.

I've three Beddies and they are the most awesome pet ever. I've always used a pet cut on my girls. Sadly one went blind when only 5yrs however never has had any problems in getting into mischief it the compost bin. As they were going for a groom the following day, it took me two hours to wash her. Loved the tips about nail clipping as it's the one thing my girls hate. You have done beautiful job on this excellent behaved dog.

I used to HATE the Standard Poodle groom.. I thought the clean shaved face and feet looked totally ridiculous and also ugly! I thought it made their faces look too long!
How opinions change because after owning a poodle myself, now I love the Poodle clip! Not the Teddy Bear Doodle clip! I want my Poodles to look like Poodles and my Doodles to look like Doodles. I have both.
The Standard "Poodle groom" looks more like "Doggy royalty" to me now! They always look so graceful and poised in that groom!
Like you mentioned in this video.. there are reasons for these grooms..
I read they originally put the "pom poms" over Poodle's joints to keep them warm because they'd be retrieving birds from cold water and out in the forest hunting so they'd also shave down their faces.
No lie though. 🐑 This Bedlington Terrier groom also looked VERY weird and just odd to me at first glance!
In the begining I also COULDNT BELIVE she was using a 40 blade but by the end... ✂️👌👏 pure perfection!
I was so impressed with the groomer and even the clip itself grew on me!
Doesn't hurt the scissor work was flawless or that she uses her clippers like a "pencil"!!!?@ Which might sound easy but its a LOT harder then it sounds!
Btw.. do you own the scissor company or are you a rep or something?
Love your channel and I've gotten so many GREAT tips and product recommendations from you!! Thank YOU!!!!

Hello Emily, im sara from Sydney Australia, it is a pleasure to see your videos, look, I bought the KM10 wahl, I am cutting the hair of a very small toypoodle, before 5 minutes the blade was very hot, I sent a message to the company that sold it to me online, before 4 hours of having received the delivery, and I explained what happened, they replied that this happens with professional machines, and that I must place a cooler, they sent me a youtube video to indicate how to do it, OMG! I am sure that this is not the case, I have heard you say that this machine is ideal since it does not heat up, please help me, thank you

    • @GoGroomer
      @GoGroomer  2 роки тому +1

All 2 speed clippers heat the blade due to the power of the clipper and strokes per minute. -friction- The wahl km 10 is no different than any other professional clipper. You have two choices, use a ceramic blade because ceramic will not heat up as quickly and use a blade coolant to cool your blade. Most groomers switch out the blade for a cooled blade and continue clipping. Also clipping on the slower blade is appropriate for a beginner.

Ps shes 55 lbs..i have to sit on her to hold her feet to comb them, then she thinks you are playing and wriggles and mouths , not biting..and jerking her feet all over.and her nails arent round..they are flat and move sideways when you try to cut them

Wow, I like everything you do, but make a dog looks like a lamb I think is sick. Is like trying to be God. Or make a girl to look like a boy. The dog are beautiful just the way they're. That sounds to me like abused the poor thing. Cruelty. He looks ugly if you ask me.

You do know this dog is a Bedlington Terrier right? And the trim applied to the dog is an excellent display of dog grooming to breed standards. I guess you would have to like the Bedlington terrier to appreciate this trim.

Bedlington’s are wonderful. The raised forehead comes from the original breeding over 100 years ago, of a poodle crossed with a whippet. Bred as a small Lurcher. They are truly happy souls. My boy died early this year after a stroke, he was 23! His son, my other, died several months later. He had catastrophic kidney failure. He was 13. I hoped he would make old bones like his dad. Not to be 🥴. I have memories though. Will be picking up my two new Beddies next month. Litter brothers. I cannot wait.
Loved this video. Very talented groomer. I have been lucky in the past, even in Spain. Found a wonderful groomer attached to the vets there. Bedlington by the way is a little village in Northumberland. North East England.
Looking forward to more videos now I have found you. Regards from UK. Xx

As Alison notes they are wonderful dogs with very special personalities. The bred trim which Suzanne showed off perfectly had a purpose. They were originally bred to hunt vermin, specifically rats in the mines in Bedlington, but also foxes, badgers etc. They go to ground into the holes and the S shape allows them to crouch through very small gaps, as well as bend in half to be able to turn and come out again. One of my bitches (I have 5 bedlingtons which I show so all are in breed trim) when in her 3rd trimester this year was able to crawl into some roof flashing I had in the garden after a mouse and turn in the middle to come out again head first. The top knot on the head, which gives them the lamb look is to hid their eyes from front on, so foxes, badgers etc don't really know what's coming down the whole, also protects the eyes. The tassel on ears weights the bottom of the ear, they can then hold them back out of the way so the prey has nothing to grab onto, or if they do hang down potentially the only thing the prey grabs is hair. Nydia - I agree they also look beautiful without being trimmed into this shape, shaving the tail, neck etc, but they still need grooming, including scissoring or clipping on a regular basis otherwise the coat will mat. As a non shedding breed they are very high maintenance on the grooming front.
