    Thanks emoney. My blood pressure always increases when i do this, I had a small leak last time, and since I do this less than once a year it's hard for me to remember what I did, this video went a long way to calming my nerves.

    Ah, ok. Well I gotta say, I'm loving mine! I got the GE unit. I think yours filters out even more than mine, but my water was registering over 500 on TDS. It knocked it down to 038! I wish they had something similar to this for shower heads, water is horrible in my apartment. I have a filter on my shower head but it isn't so robust :)
    Thanks again for the video good sir! Well done!

    Thank you for the video. Can you give me the exact ebay seller you bought all your filters from? Thank you.What exactly do you call each filter so you get the right size and function from them? Our unit is exactly like yours.Thank you

      Hello
      You have what they call a 5 filter unit RO unit that is. Go on to eBay and look up Ro replacement kits. If you have any other questions let me know but I assure you it's easier than you think.

    When you rebook up RO and turn on water is there air in the lines?

    • @emoneyblue
      @emoneyblue  3 роки тому

      Not really, I never noticed it. If so it may go into the holding tank. But never noticed it.

    Well, I think I got mine going ok now :) But, I do have a question. Do these units continually drain out water into your pipe or only until the tank is full?
    I live in an apartment, I don't want them thinking there's a leak ;)

    Dude , aren't you supposed to flush the filters before you run them through the tank ? You do not want Carbon dust in the storage tank . Did you presoak the Osmosis membrane in peroxide .? thought that was mandatory

      @emoneyblue  5 років тому

      I Never did that! not saying it was correct or not but I have done it my way for years and I have never had deposits in my tank. I flush my tank every 2/3 years when I change the filters just to do it. Thanks for the suggestions. E$

    Replacement is greatly determined by your TDS readings (you can buy a TDS tester for cheap). If it is high, you'll want to replace them often. If your water is low TDS, 6months and you're good. 2-years? You really need to replace them! And use bleach like emoneyblue mentions in the video to sanitize the containers.
    Start with TDS readings. My apartment is over 500 on the readers, which isn't lethal but it's not healthy water to drink. Mine will need to be replaced a lot ;)

    Great Video. I did this and now the water doesn't come out. I made sure the water is on. I heard it filling up.

      Hey, I appreciate the tip on adding air. I didn't take into consideration the time it takes to fill the tank. I drained it 3 times and now it is all good.
