This is a testament not only to Seiko building one of the best divers watches of this era,but also to the fighting men who wore them.Great video!(I love how you can concentrate with all the noise from the young uns in the background.)
Yup, it is all of those things. The kids? I dunno, unless they're screaming like right next to me, it's background noise (though one ear is always open).
Definitely vintage diver's Seiko are awesome and this one is one of best examples. By the way, amazing story behind this beautiful watch. Thanks Spencer.
Can anyone who is old enough to remember UHF/VHF tv imagine this kind of programming on channel 56? “Tonight at 8, Spencer takes a DEEP DIVE into a vintage Seiko Diver!” It just wouldn’t happen (maybe on PBS)... 30+ minutes of this kind of stuff is exactly why UA-cam is my favorite TV station!
Weird that the winding weight screws on this watch fought you. The ones on my 6146 GS had come loose over time and wallowed out the screw holes in the winding weight!
@@SpencerKleinVintageWatch Thank you very damn much!!! If I should find out how to determine when they changed for the in crown gasket, Ill hit you up on Instagram dms!
Magnificent 👌. One of the most beautiful Seikos ever. An incredible find, Spencer. Wonderful quality and you’ve given it another 50 years of service.
Many thanks!
I love watching your personal project videos the most. It’s cool to hear how excited you are to be working on something for your own enjoyment.
Thank you so much!
Man, you are a genius. What a transformation ! Just beautiful, looks incredible.
Wow, thank you!

One of the finest looking divers ever made.
Bravo Spencer, well done is an understatement!

The dial is perfect.
It is difficult to find a good condition, so I bought a SLA025.

Thank you Mr. Squillacioti!
I hope I could keep my mm300 forever.
Once it goes out of production and needs parts, it’s going to get tricky
Really enjoyed that. Beautiful watch. Would love an MM300 but don't think I could pull it off on my 6.75 inch wrists.
Just Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing work sir.
So nice of you
This is the only vintage seiko left that tempts me. But ill say that if Rdunae makes their own version, I'd be all over that!
Love my mm300. Would love an original, someday.
*My Grail Seiko ... one fine day.*
great footage
Awesome job! I bet that one is a keeper!?
I love brand seiko prospex
how can you sell a wedding gift from your wife! how does this not have tons of sentimental value
Maybe the wife left and took half lol.
Wow, the Bezel is Black and White or Black and gold?
When it was new is was gold and black, and on these the gold fades to silver over time.
what were the final timgrapher numbers?
Wait did you polish the case? You gotta do a video on polishing please.

No kidding? Wild! Always nice to hear from you, Aaron!
@@SpencerKleinVintageWatch You, too brother! That is a mighty fine 6159!
Daily driver I like it 6159 nice.
Hello, I am looking for a pair of glasses for seiko 6159-7000
We sell them here: kleinvintagewatch.com/crystals/0wwkcil5m4tzw3r8y4mwmm4r73ljg2
Great info! Is this maybe a 1968 or early 1969? Trying to determine which production date equals which kind of crownstem.
This is June 1968.

Jens H. You’re welcome! I really like having a twinlock type crown gasket setup
I like my sla025
Need the winding pinion for a 6159. Part 283.615. If anyone could help me out. Thank you
You know its an original seiko when the bezel is misaligned
*modern Seiko. These pieces were made by what I consider to be a different company in many ways.
Amazing. Put it on a rubber waffle strap. Or maybe tire tread. Cheers.
anyone knows whats the diffrence brtween this one and the 6215-7000
Different movement that beats at 18,000 bph. Honestly, I prefer it.
Case back date ? Or dial ?
Caseback is June '68, dial is April '68.
i wonder if the owner has checked ebay prices for this watch!! :)
yes, and I recommended to him that selling on eBay would net a higher final price.
restored..whats it worth?
They're four-figure watches now.
June 1968
I wish there were a stronger rating than thumbs up.
Gosh thanks Saul!
Man, I really want to start my collection again. Ebay is the devil
Nylon ring not a rubber seal !
I would never ever sell it. No matter what.
