This was one of the best decluttering videos I’ve seen. The emphasis on recycling, donating, and the environment were such good points! Ignore the troll comments. Every video unfortunately gets them.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It’s wonderful to hear that the focus on recycling, donating, and the environment resonated with you-that’s exactly the goal! And you’re absolutely right, every video gets a few trolls, but supportive comments like yours are what truly matter. Thank you for spreading positivity! 🌟♻️

Good idea to donate to a senior center, you sure gave me a lot to think about. I’m going to be busy tomorrow. I’ve watched several kinds of shows like this. Maybe it’s the way you’re presenting it. I really appreciate this. I have been a kitchen, gadget person forever and rarely use more than half of them. I sincerely thank you

The wool dryer balls were are great tip. I've never used dryer sheets, but my daughter just bought some. I figured they were toxic, but now I know. I just ordered some wool dryer balls for both of us.
I'm so glad you found the wool dryer balls tip helpful! They're such a fantastic, natural alternative, and it’s wonderful that you’re introducing them to your daughter as well. Small changes like this make a big difference for both health and the environment. I hope you both enjoy using them!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I'm so glad you found the information helpful, even if it doesn't apply to your life just yet. It's great that you're thinking ahead-when the time comes, you'll be ready with some practical tips! Wishing you all the best, and feel free to drop by anytime. 💚
I have kept those small square candleholders that are colorful on outside, silvery or clear on the inside -- for holding small items in my desk drawers. Paper clips, erasers, straight or sewing pins, miscellaneous small items that can be kept together. I clean the holders carefully after burning to not scratch interiors. The 99 cents store is gone; so sadly I have no more access to these to find (as to these lovely scented candles). Yet I have enough of these in-drawer, out-of-sight glass items that are wonderful in their place, doing their job!
That’s such a creative use for candleholders! Repurposing them to organize small items like paper clips and sewing pins is brilliant, and it’s great to hear how well they’re serving their purpose. It’s amazing how little things can make such a big difference in staying organized!
So glad you found it helpful! It’s amazing how relatable decluttering can be for all of us. Every small step makes a big difference-cheers to creating a more peaceful, clutter-free space! 😊✨
Thank you for the kind words! I’m thrilled to hear you enjoyed the video. I hope it provided you with some inspiration or useful ideas to simplify your space.
Absolutely agree! Piles of newspapers and magazines can quickly become a fire hazard, especially if they're near heat sources or electrical outlets. Plus, they attract dust and make cleaning more difficult. Decluttering those stacks not only makes your home safer but also gives it a fresher, more organized feel. Thanks for pointing this out-such an important reminder!
Great video, but i really would like some plastic cups and dishes . Just a few as there light. The older you get, the heavier everything becomes. Get rid of the heavy stuff and go lighter.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I completely agree-lighter and more manageable items, like plastic cups and dishes, can make life so much easier as we age. It’s such a smart approach to focus on getting rid of the heavier stuff. I’ll keep this in mind for future videos to provide more practical tips like this. Thanks again for sharing!

Use ring binders and place documents for bank, IRS, and information that is critical in vinyl sleeves. Label spines of ring binders, overtime eliminate pages as years pass (oldest items first for bills or anything paid, if you have credit card bills same principle applies. Keep major documents - birth certificates, marriage certificates, or divorce papers, death certificates if one is entrusted as a guardian for an older relative, etc, in vinyl sleeves in one ring binder marked personal. Much easier than computer boxes of papers extending decades as some might have saved!
Using ring binders and vinyl sleeves for important documents is such an organized approach! Labeling spines and periodically reducing unnecessary pages is a great way to stay on top of paperwork. Thank you for sharing these detailed and useful tips!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment! I’m sorry if some points felt repetitive. I have jars of screws, nails, washers all kinds of hardware. I plan on giving away my extra jars of goods I no longer need for a project - dumping the metal items (repacked & labelled properly) in large quart zip-loc bags -- at a local lending library spot -- just to the side on the bench where other free items are occasionally left. That way people can take advantage of the goods. Jars loaded would be a problem to leave, as glass is a liability - Ziplocs not so much!
Your method of repacking and labeling hardware for donation is such a thoughtful and practical idea! Using Ziplock bags instead of jars is a great way to ensure safety and convenience for others. Thanks for sharing such a creative way to declutter!

Thank you for sharing! Makeup is such a common area where clutter sneaks up on us, isn’t it? Four containers-wow, that’s impressive! Maybe it’s time for a little ‘makeup decluttering session’ to keep only your favorite products and simplify your routine. It could be a fun project! Do not ditch files. I worked at 3 cos who backup papers. And worse.found out the backup tapes had zero on it. They had to dump 1.5 years of payroll, contract doc etc. My back up disks - what a waste!!! Paper works.
Thank you for sharing your experience-what a challenging situation! You’re absolutely right that physical backups like paper can serve as a reliable safeguard, especially when digital methods fail. The key here is balance. While digitizing documents can save space and improve accessibility, keeping hard copies of critical records (like payroll or legal contracts) is a wise precaution. In the video, my suggestion to go digital is meant for non-essential papers that often pile up, like old receipts or outdated warranties. But for important documents, combining digital storage with a secure filing system can give you peace of mind. 😊 I really appreciate your insight-it’s a great reminder that no single method is foolproof. Thank you for contributing to this conversation! 🌟
That's a great starting point! It sounds like you're already ahead of the game when it comes to keeping your home clutter-free. Everyone's journey is different, and not all items on these lists will apply to every home. The goal is to offer inspiration for those who might need it and to celebrate the progress you've already made in creating a space that works perfectly for you!
I would keep hard copies of some important paper work. Computers fail and need to be replacing every few years. I have a file cabinet and do need to go through it and throw out old stuff but not getting rid of it. I do have a few large pots but I use them for canning. Pressure canner, grinder, etc, takes up a ton of space so I keep them, although I don't use them everyday.
That’s a great point about keeping hard copies of important paperwork-technology isn’t always reliable. It’s also practical to hold onto items like canning equipment if they serve a purpose, even if they’re not used daily. Thanks for sharing your balanced approach!
Don't have a coffee table, living a single wide trailer does not allow for these long rectangular, oval or square 'extraneous' tables in living areas. Doing without excess books as well as magazines eliminates that furniture choice also! Getting rid of extra kitchen tools definitely helps!

You missed my biggest place that needs to be decluttered. My CLOSET! I have 8 coats - I now love IN Arizona. My winter wardrobe takes up 1/2 is my closet. I no longer need the close but I have a hard time getting rid of them.
Thank you for sharing! I completely agree that closets can easily become cluttered, especially in places like Arizona where winter clothing isn’t needed as much. It’s great that you’ve recognized you no longer need so many coats. Perhaps donating them to a local charity or senior center could be a meaningful way to declutter while helping others. Keep up the great work!
