Personally, I don't consider lofi hip hop as a subgenre of vaporwave. Although it takes a lot of its aesthetics from vaporwave, it's more heavily based on jazz and hip hop, as heard by the acoustic instruments, hip-hop samples, and jazz-like chords they're composed of. The ideology of lofi hip hop also fits better with the chill, existential, and nihilistic thought processes of other city/alt lofi movements. I find it really interesting how people have classified each of these subgenres.
I don’t either. They’ve had some influence on eachother but aren’t related. I mentioned Lofi Hiphop because if you Google search «late night lofi» you get mostly lofi hiphop results and not the vaporwave subgenre
I know it’s not exactly your style, but I would appreciate a deeper dive into outrun and synthwave. While I don’t think it’s as diverse as vapor wave, I do think there are interesting facets to it, such as darksynth or chillwave.

@@PINKAS1 Your work so far reminds me alot of how I was taught literature and it's more in-depth than just looking at the techniques applied and talks about how to make the audience feel what they want them to, especially considering the fact you're no expert in music nor aesthetics, either than the time you spent studying them for videos and your own pleasure. Keep doing good work, I love sharing your videos and the part in the end about how this isn't what vaporwave and it's subgenres have to be also shows how it's still evolving and we're experiencing it while that happens. Just like in the past, few were the people who were able to truly see how poets and writers have changed and evolved their styles and themes, it's the same with vaporwave.

Great video and greatly researched. All the things we know, together in 1 place. Your analysis of the aims and ways of the music is spot on, truly capturing, at least my feelings, into precise words without leaving this unclear and up to interpretation.
Wow, thank you for this kind comment. Really spent a ton of time on this vid so i really appreciate that
@@PINKAS1 Your work so far reminds me alot of how I was taught literature and it's more in-depth than just looking at the techniques applied and talks about how to make the audience feel what they want them to, especially considering the fact you're no expert in music nor aesthetics, either than the time you spent studying them for videos and your own pleasure.
Can't get over the better call saul intro
The most under appreciated bit I’ve ever done
0:36 *sees Pew News mug*
I see you’re a man if culture as well
Nice breaking bad reference
Thank you, I feel like no one got it
Once again , another masterpiece of video thanks Pinkas
Thank you!
Do a video on Nujabes. You can see Aruarian dance at 4:51. Please like my comment so he can see.
vaporwave becoming a meme nearly killed the music...
I really just sat here and watched this whole thing to learn about my favourite genre
I know it's 4 years old but I still love this video
Who are the 6 people who disliked this
Maybe they had bad aim.
I thought all songs like this were just vaporwave
Well.. they are. It's the same like you can ofc say "Metal" to all its subgenres like "Thrashmetal, Deathmetal, Blackmetal, Metalcore, ...". So yeah, it's all Vaporwave, it's just different subgenres/categories of Vaporwave.
Damn I’ve been listening to these genres for many years, and now it’s catching on I love it !
Thank you for educating me, I'm a huge vaporwave (and synthwave) fan, but I had no idea there were so many subgenres and so many differences between them
Fashwave?
Based and redpilled
Practically vaporwave with a different source material and would almost fall into vapormeme and it's a taboo 'genre'
Hmm, most of it is "stolen" synthwave/darksynth with videos of SS or jinroh, i suppose there is some original, but i would argue it goes under synthwave in all other places but aesthetics
@@suncityranger1115
Its very fast and powerful
Unlike vaporwave
@@mustfaaboassd could you guide me to some examples maybe I can see what you're talking about and what do you mean powerful
We now need a vaporware but for the late 90s and the 2000s
The differences are crystal clear to me now. Arigatou
captivated by this video, had to keep going back to watch again. Thank you
awesome as usual
This is it. This is the one video you have to show someone when explaining all the subgenres and the stuff that isn't under the VW umbrella. All packaged in one user friendly vid.
Thats what ive been talking about, thanks man for bring us a video like this, its really good, and im sure it will help people who's starting in vaporwave, greetings from Brazil.
Yes please a part 2 would be awesome
this was so informative, and i discovered so much from this, thank you!
Thank you my dude!
