Greetings from Fairfax, Virginia. I enjoy your AR videos. You speak clearly and your terminology is spot on. On this video though, ithought I saw a blemish below and to the right of the fire selector.
Only reason I’m not watching this now is I’m sitting in a Mexican joint eating lunch with a beautiful woman but it’s tempting to watch anyway, have to wait till later lol
I'm out of control again! The Criterion Hybrid 20" is on back order for up to 4 months from the email I got from them! It's been three weeks so 3 months and a week to go if it ends up going the distance! Then I still have to send it up to Trajectory Arms at Salt Lake City to get the FSB installed! They did have the Govt profile in stock which would have been correct for this build but it's not my preferred barrel profile.
I have a couple of Windhams! Think I'll drag them out and see if mine are marked too! Yes, seems some of the trusted names in the past are no more! Finding more of Fulton Armory's offerings are now substandard! Wasn't always the case!
@@peteregger7928 I understand if you have to make sure that the locking indentations from the lock washer line up perfectly when you reinstall the little bolt , I won't tell anyone. Lol
@@bigred06100 Thanks! Sometimes I wonder if I get too far down into the weeds! I try to build the best I can within a reasonable budget and with what's available on the market. A lot of the older trusted name brand sources from what I'm starting to see are cutting corners and cheapening things up. The barrel I ordered for this build is back ordered up to 4 months which is another issue. The quality might still be there but it's not readily available. I'll get there eventually! Thanks for watching and commenting!
9:44 you answered my question about parts suppliers. The grip on my Colt Sporter has the number 3 in it, for whatever that’s worth. And oh yeah , nice shout out to the garbage company. But I wouldn’t advertise to the world with those stickers.
Well the number on my CMMG doesn't mean Colt but that seems to be the YT narrative. The boogeyman checks under his bed at night to see if I'm there! Lol! You do have a point though!
Thanks! Not a gunsmith though. 21 years in the Navy. The first 5 as an Aviation Machinist Mate (jet engine mechanic) and the last 16 as an Aviation Electronics Technician specializing in precision measurement equipment. Hold an FAA Power Plant and Airframe license and worked for a while as an airline mechanic. Retired from Clark County Water Reclamation here in Las Vegas after 15 years as the Senior Control Systems Technician. Electronics and wrenches most of my life! Had other jobs in oil field construction and installed boat engines for Thunderbird Boats when I got out of the Navy before going back in. Fully retired now!
@@chrischiampo7647 It's the way of the new world we live in! As far as I know I'm in good health but at almost 68 I hope to see the new barrel! I'll still have to send it off to have the FSB mounted. Lol!

I've had very good luck with CMMG pins! They are always in spec! I haven't tried any of their triggers because I'm usually trying to upgrade from MilSpec on those. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@peteregger7928 man I’m looking forward to that video!
My windham weaponry a2 grip is marked "F 3". I like it better than the crappy ones you find in most lower parts kits.

You definitely give a lot of attention to detail. I’m guessing maybe you must be a Gunsmith? You certainly know your rifles.

Real interesting program. I think the CMMG parts kits were good. I didn't use the grip. But the parts seemed good.🏆🪖
