It was nuts. They put the game on sale around midnight 1 night and it was gone within 20-30 minutes. Luckily I was awake and snagged a standard copy for each system because I was worried of scalping the game on eBay when Wario64 said it was limited release.
But the way squeenix released this they're basically promoting scalping and fucking up the fanbase. What else do you wanna do if the company doesnt print copies and you want it...?
Side note… Crappy thing about physical releases these days is that they likely are dependent on patches and updates, so in the end you have something to hold I guess, but if / when the servers go offline some day, you will be stuck owning an incomplete version. Lots of PS3 and Xbox 360 games ate in this predicament atm, as an example.
I hate to admit it but everyone needs to go the LRG route and take preorders for 1-2 months for the CE of games to see how much demand there is and produce enough for everyone that wants one.
@@lockepsb Square does this kind of shenanigans though. They put preorders up for sale on their website and dont tell anyone and that's it. It's how I got Tactics Ogre, I preordered it of their site like 8 months before it came out. I think they'll end up printing more physical Switch games of the pixel remaster though. They're probably waiting for people to buy it digitally and then sell it again to them physically.

Flippers, resellers, scalpers--the line is too fine to differentiate anymore and they've all ruined the collecting hobby. In the end it'll only hurt companies producing physical copies because of how butt-hurt would-be-buyers will be as their interest wanes and people begin to wait for digital sales.

If Square Enix really love money they would distribute this collection in mass just like the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, the Wonder Boy Collection, Advance Wars 1+2, Sonic Origins, Prinny Collections, Grandia HD Collection, Collection of Mana, Collection of SaGa, Castlevania Classic Collection, Pokemon Bundle Pack, Doom Ultimate Collection, Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection, Namco Museum+, Star Wars Racer Commando Combo, TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection, Crash N.Sane Collection, Spyro Re-ignite Collection, Tony Hawk 1+2, Aladdin/Lion King/Jungle Collection, Sega Genesis Classics Collection, Capcom Fighting Collection, etc. Square Enix really need to learn from Capcom, Konami, Sega, Nintendo, Disney, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, Activision, NIS America, LucasArt, UbiSoft, etc.
There is rumors and talk about the North america version only haveing one print and not being reprinted, so this aded some colectibility value to it, even though play asia version easier to get. I hope they did not ruin FF 1 in this version where u can just mash A to win and cast cure 1 as many times as u want with stupid spell points. FF1 is not suposed ot have spell points! It has spel level charges! And atakjcing a dead enemiy should MIS, never goto the next enemy, that removes all the strategy from the game!
U can use multiple games on one switch account by disabling internet on your PRIMARY switch. It will not need internet check to work. Only the slave switch needs internet check. Thank me later and joy your playing 2 at same time.
