Hi Katherine! I’m here if you need any support with making the switch to gluten-free. It is definitely a hard transition to make on your own. Please let me know if you have any specific questions I can help you with. Be sure to check out the other videos on my channel as well. Wishing you the best! 😊💕
You talk about crying in a restaurant your first time eating out after diagnosis. I cried on my first trip to the grocery store. Just reminiscing on the stuff I could no longer eat (chicken burgers/fingers and french fries from a Legion Hall before Darts, no more Godfather Pizza, no more "Chinese" food). Also, I was feeling the effects of the added cost on my pocketbook. It felt awful.
Yes to all of that! I think that realizing you can't eat some of your favourite foods ever again is one of the hardest things to cope with. (Mind you, it's not necessarily true because there are so many great alternatives now-but giving up specific restaurants is tough.) I didn't get into the details in the video, but I ate at a vegan restaurant that was known for "chick'n & waffles" and basically all fried food. The only thing I could eat there was some TVP (textured vegetable protein) and rice, and it was probably the worst thing I've ever eaten. I was so scared that was what all my future dining experiences would be. Oh, and I also cried after my boyfriend and I had this amazing dining experience (it was like 8 courses), and there was a 5-year aged sourdough bread with browned butter (drooling) that I couldn't eat. And I couldn't have the dessert. That was 2 weeks after my diagnosis, and I was so tempted to cheat (but my boyfriend wouldn't let me... haha). It was definitely rough, but I'm used to it now! 😊
I cried at the second my doctor said in the office. Because I'm already on a restricted diet due to other allergies and her words have basically eliminated a huge portion of the remaining "safe foods" from my culture. And I'm already struggling socially with my family who said I bastardized traditional dishes by subbing seeds for nuts or mushrooms for tofu etc. And gives them more fuel to say why I'm not marriage material. And my doctor is no help. Plus my panic at the supermarket in the gluten aisle is so high that I just don't buy anything because it is next to all that almond containing foods.
If you think as food as living food cooked by the sun it is easier to accept. We should really only eat foods as they are grown. In the natural state or juice them. When you look at all the foods grown on trees or in the garden it is plenty. The importance of chewing and getting the saliva glands going is very healthy for our bodies.

For how long it takes to transition to a gluten-free diet: it really just depends on how quickly you want to make the change! For me, from the moment I got diagnosed, I didn't eat anything else with gluten and I purged my kitchen. I've also heard of other people having a last meal with some of their favourite foods, though! If what you mean is how long until you feel better, that also varies person to person. It depends a lot on how much damage there is. For me, I think it took several weeks to start noticing a difference, and about a year until everything felt "normal". For a lot of people, it can take 1-2 years for the damage to heal completely. When it comes to apps, I personally haven't used them! They may be helpful though-but you need to make sure that it's based on where you live! I'm also not sure if every product out there would be listed on the app, so you may turn down certain items in the grocery store that were actually safe to eat. I think that in the long term, the best thing to do would be to learn how to read labels and what you need to keep an eye out for. Be sure to look into official sources for this, rather than blogs, as there is a lot of misinformation out there about what is safe and what isn't. Thanks for this video. My daughter was just diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and they have advised that gluten can make the condition worse. But I'm feeling SO overwhelmed. I appreciate your humour and the tips are really helpful.
My doctor recently prescribed a gluten free diet due to health concerns and as someone who loves pasta and baked goods I didn't know where to start. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience in such an entertaining way.
Wonderful advice, I got so upset when I realised just how much gluten is out there and when I learned about contamination. When I discovered how difficult it is to be gluten free when travelling, I too cried out of desperation
So glad I live in the UK. I belong to the celiac society which provides me with an app to check which restaurants are safe to eat in and also a book of supermarkets listing the foods that are safe to buy and eat
Hii Sarah, I live in United Arab Emirates, Dubai. I am finding it difficult to trace restaurants which provides gluten free dishes. would you mind sharing me the name of the app i can use to trace these restaurants please? I appreciate your help.
I’m not sure if the UK app would work in Dubai, but you could try downloading the “Find Me Gluten-free” app and see if there’s anything in your area. ☺️
I got my celiac diagnosis. I started the gluten purge. I gotta buy a new toaster. I haven't replaced the bread and pasta yet. I'm waiting to next month. What I have I'll be able to eat until the first. Thank you gluten free Oreos.
I need to go gluten free because gluten makes me feel sick and I want to hopefully reverse the baside effects. My family is not going to change most of what they make for dinner example pizza, lasagna, spaghetti I tried once and they weren't that supportive or they don't believe I'm sick even the doctors but going gluten free is one of the only options I have and I wish there was more support and guidance 😥😭 Hopefully I can feel better once I stick with it. The holidays will be tough and eating out. Thank you for your video and channel! I don't have celiac but I can imagine that is much worse. Praying for all of us trying to go gluten free and for this community here 🙏❤💕
My boyfriend was just prescribed a gluten-free diet and they're working on the diagnosis(waiting for some test results) but your videos are really helpful I'm so glad I found your channel!
I haven't been diagnosed with celiac disease, but just recently found out thru a series of tests that I'm at a higher risk of developing celiac disease because both of my parents were carriers. So now I'm taking precautions and going gluten free
Very helpful and positive attitude this video offers to sufferers of the condition, an energetic approach to embarking on what can be a stressful and difficult task in managing your own day to day plan consuming foods that are both a basic need to live and at same time require specific attention in order to keep away from problems. I recently learned that gluten free helps with other gut conditions that are linked to skin / immune systems that can help reduce psoriasis for example. Also I find gluten free breads to have starkly reduced acid reflux compared to eating ordinary bread. Thank you for this helpful and valuable presentation and happy positive approach to facing it head on.
I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease last week. Your videos are making my transition to a gluten-free diet so much easier. I can't thank you enough! 🙏🙏🙏
I'm new here. I can eat gluten when I'm pregnant or post pardon. My last baby was 5 years ago and I thought I might have lucked out but Christmas day it all came back. So I am back on the journey. So much has changed in the last 6 years. My really good friend is also gluten-free so I have been learning so much from her. God bless
I started a gut-healing diet, cut gluten from my life, healed and felt like a completely different person, but I didn't realize it was gluten. Fastforward to now, and I fell back into my old ways and ate like a whole loaf of bread by myself and now I remember what I used to be like. Ouch! Not fun. I want to go get tested. Thanks for all of your tips! This is awesome.
Great information. I live in Central America where we have a lot of natural food such as fruits and vegetables in the market, but almost zero options to eat out. I was diagnozed with Celiac desease in July 2020 when I was 51 years old, and I wish I had found your channel long time ago. I already suscribed and thank you for sharing all your tips.
Great tips! It's a huge change but it can be done. My biggest obstacles with store bought GF is the addition of tapioca. Allergic to that...it's in almost everything! My doctors best advice was...read every label thoroughly!
That's awesome! 😄 My partner only eats select gluten things-like pre-sliced gluten bread in his own toaster or takeout pizza. No baking or cooking any gluten things with our kitchen utensils though. It definitely makes a huge difference to not have to worry about cross-contamination at home! 🙌
Howdy! You did pronounce Kinnikinnick correctly! Kinnikinnick is also the name of a plant (also called Bear Berry) that is common to Alaska (where I was born and raised), Canada (where their company is located), Russia and Europe. Thank you so much for your video and the humor you use in it. I’m on my first week gluten free and it’s awesome to have this resource.
I have a family who just is convinced this is all in my head and physically CAN NOT do all of this at the current moment, so I have to deal with it for now, but Im saving this for the future.
I was dealing with stomach and pelvic pain for months, but they couldn’t find out what was wrong with me. I cut gluten out of my diet and immediately started feeling better. Unfortunately, though, I’m dealing with so much fatigue, and just generally feeling off… I guess my body is just adjusting, it hasn’t even been a week yet. But it makes me really sad that I can’t eat things that I really enjoyed anymore… Most of my diet was grains, the majority of it. I cried today because my mom made my favorite dish, something without gluten in it, but today she just so happened to add chicken broth to it… And it had gluten in it, so I couldn’t have any of it. It’s been pretty hard, especially because I’m not the biggest cook.
You are awesome thank you so so much for making this video. I got diagnosed 14 months ago and I wasn’t sure how to switch everything over. I am also vegan so it’s very hard for me to find thanks. I struggle with endometriosis as well so my whole life, I thought the pain was from that, I did not know that you can tax off your gluten-free items so thank you for that
As a 14 year old who had been diagnosed bc of the genes (celiac) I was diagnosed at 7 and I used to go to the hospital for the pain all the time then all of a sudden it stopped hurting when I ate gluten but now I feel it coming back and it’s been so painful so I’m going back to gluten free before I go to the ER
Thank you for your video i know was posted 3 years ago but i am on transition time right now ( get a health check result about 2-3 weeks a go ) so your video really help me a lot thank you
I am Coeliac and also have the skin condition Dermatitis Herpetiformis which is a very itchy skin condition caused by gluten allergy. Initially it took 2 years before the DH lesions disappeared. My weight went from 50kg to 85kg in those 2 years.
Thank you for posting this. I am a middle-aged overweight man with a new diagnosis. Not exactly the classic Celiac... and I have no idea where to start.
Hey Aaron! Thanks so much for your comment-I don’t think I would consider myself the classic Celiac either. 😂 I’ve always been a big foodie and ate alllll the gluten pre-diagnosis! Give my videos a watch, and please let me know if there are any specific topics I haven’t covered that you’d like to see. It can be tough starting out, so I’m happy to help however I can. 😊
@@robynsglutenfreeliving Western Canadian, so any "go to" restaurants/stores would be helpful. My wife owns an M&M food market, and came home with a bunch of stuff that I was surprised were gluten-free... apparently, they have a whole section... Is all panko GF, or does it have to be from a GF facility?
@@Drakestriker333 That's awesome! I've heard M&M meats has some great gluten-free options (just always be sure to read the label). 😊 Panko is usually made of wheat, but you can find gluten-free Panko! If it's in a restaurant though, it's pretty much always going to have wheat (unless you're in a gluten-free restaurant). For local suggestions (Canada), I'd highly recommend joining the Canadian Celiac Association Facebook group. I think it's the best place to find out about restaurants or products in your area. Here's the link: facebook.com/groups/canadianceliacassociation (Note: a lot of people post, so you may want to turn off notifications and use the group as needed. 😊)

Thank god for Dosa house food. Vegetarian Indian food use lentil and chickpea flour in a lot of their dishes. I have severe shellfish allergy and get intestinal problems with dairy. ER worthy hives from wheat. The Dosa House is where I can eat most items and not be scared.
Did a quick search: U.S. residents can also deduct a whole of gluten-free/Celiac related foods/actions from taxes! I only have a mild intolerance and am interested in trying to go gluten-free for a month or so for the sake of my Hashimoto's disease, but I'm excited for all of you that are willing to do the legwork to save this money!!
Before I went gluten free I had heard family and friends saying how they are gluten free but it was only after the effects of gluten got too much to handle and I hated to eat anything (during a period where I couldn’t do more intense exercise for a couple of months) that I finally just gave up gluten out of desperation. I then realised that most of the people who had been saying they were gluten free, weren’t really. In fact some of them seem to eat barely anything gluten free and it’s probably only when I wam around that they try a bit harder. A couple of years later I feel much better but feel like I might have to tighten my non-gluten eating to be a lot more strict. I don’t really crave most of that gluten stuff because I just think about how it would make me feel. The only thing I crave is more freedom and cost effectiveness in my eating choices instead of eating many of the same things repeatedly or having to study something for 20mins just to have lunch.
Yes, you pronounced Kinnikinnick correctly! I live just off a road called Kinnikinnick Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Us locals call it KK for short. It is an indigenous peoples term, much like how many of Wisconsin's city names are derived from their language.
Hi good afternoon my wife do not know what to eat so far being diagnosed with GERD she's looking for gluten-free recipes and other suggestions thank you
Cool video, thanks! I was just diagnosed with deramtitis herpetiformis where I break out in an awful, itchy, stingy rash due to my body not being able to tolerate gluten anymore 😞
Recovering donut addict here. Strangely enough, going gluten-free helped me quit being obsessed with gluten donuts. I'm one of those whose symptoms include overpowering cravings
FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE DOMINOS PIZZA!!! I used to work at a dominos and we DONT have a specific way to prevent cross contamination. DONT get the gluten free small crust if you have celiac or an intense gluten allergy!!
In Maryland in the US, Katz is a good brand found in most good grocery stores, including Giant and Whole Foods. Mini muffins, donuts (honestly I think better than kinnikinnik), mini pies, twinkies, hohos fakes, and other things I wish existed fifteen years ago! 😊
Wonderful video, back here in England you might just as well have two heads when trying to eat out, you either get your what! Or well I suppose I can get you a salad. The stress is unbelievable, if I can cook a nice meal at home why can’t a restaurant? However I do feel so much better and the added bonus is I have lost nearly two stone in weight. Jill X
I am gluten sensitive. Just got diagnosed with it about 6 months ago. I think the hardest thing about it is not being able to go eat at restaurants. Especially for my family. We haven't been to a restaurant because of my gluten sensitivity and I feel bad for them. Help!!! What restaurants (if any) serve gluten free meals???
And let's be honest. The first loaves of "bread" I bought after diagnosis tasted. Like. Crap. They fell apart so easily and made so many crumbs that I longed to be able to eat a sandwich on whole wheat bread.
I LOVE gluten-free oatmeal!!!!! I think everything I eat that is gluten free tastes 1,000x better than food that is not GF. I found your Channel and you are so funny💕 thanks for sharing your story and info!!
Hey Sonya! I'm also a huge oatmeal fan, haha! 🥳 That's great that you've found lots of great tasting gluten-free foods. I have to say that I didn't have the same experience starting out, but there are lots of foods that are just as good (if not better) than the real thing. I'm so glad you're enjoying my channel! Hi robin... Tx sooo much for your videos!! I'm new to the party.. Marc here from Montreal, newly diagnosed celiac, fifty one year old male and i have two questions. The first question, do any of your videos mention Spices? Seems like some are not.safe. And, anti inflammatory medications... which ones do avoid and which ones are safe? Second question...i am currently transitioning...family of 4. Do I really need to wash everything in the kitchen And the pantry until all is spic and span?? A celiac friend.did say to move flour out of the pantry as part of the transition...? i havent had belly pains, nausea, etc..ever...is it because i haven't been off gluten long enough to react violently? Im looking fwd to being less tired, and having normal bowel movements etc...but am hoping ill be less sensitive than most.(wishful thinking?) My main indicator was am anti-transglutaminase of 161, which is what prompted further investigation.. And here i am...transitioning... Fyi- I was at a Tim's drive-thru with my daughter last week...asked if they had glutenfree-anything...aaaand, they do not..so i got a coffee amd watched my daughter eat her crispy chicken wrap ... So i will be writing to the head honcho soon.. Thx again for your great videos!! Cheers .
Thank you so much for these videos. I found out I'm gluten sensitive and I feel great cutting the stuff out. (I was tested for both wheat allergy and celiac, came up clear) what fast food places do you recommend, my family and I do multiple goodwill / thrift store trips once in a while and sometimes like to get some food on the way back.
Hey! Thanks for your comment 😊 Where are you located? I can try to make some suggestions for fast food-though I can only speak to Canadian restaurants with confidence. 😅
I’m finding the hardest thing to replace is bread. Like almost every gluten free bread I try makes me feel so sick🤢 Not sure if it’s the xanthan gum or something else.
it's been 3 weeks and not having fresh bun in the morning sounds and is so depressing. On the other hand, I still have a lot of options since I like tofu and stuff.. vegan foods are cool too and I eat rice the most.. onigiri are still here for me at least.
I recently found out some restaurants will recycle pasta water, so that puts pasta in the same category as fried food. I have an occasionally wonder if the kitchen staff is spitting in my food. I always want to say I promise I’m not trying to be difficult.
Hi,your videos are very helpful. Thank you for great videos.i just find out I'm gluten intolerance. Is that OK to eat, chickpea, lentils, soya bean kind of grain? And also I would like to know which oil should I use for cooking?
Just found your channel and I'll definitely be watching all your videos. Do you know where we could order things like gluten free flour etc.....I live in South Africa, and although the supermarkets are starting to stock more gluten free options they are very expensive. I'd like to buy bulk items so that I can make everything myself mostly.....I need to make oat milk but I'm struggling to find gluten free oats, and when I do, I can't justify paying that price when I have to use a lot of it to make milk etc...... help!
What if you want to remove gluten from your diet because of a thyroid disease. Do you have to be as strict as someone with celiac. By that I mean can I use gluten free bread in my family's toaster and probably be alright. I'm trying to heal my gut and naturally cure my thyroid. I'm hoping taking out there big offenders and not worrying about cross contamination will be suffice. Now, if I had celiac...I'd definitely have my own toaster. Anyone???

I don't know if you'll read or reply to this message: but I've suffered from a geographic tongue for many years now, so thinking I've a gluten intolerants, I've just changed a few things at the moment in my diet ie bread chocolate and crisps to GF, chips to you, my tongue now is feeling alot smoother, so thinking that my changes have and are helping. Legit did not know Lindt chocolate has barley malt syrup. I'm so sad! Also be prepared to pay double or triple the price for all things GF. But at least there's GF Oreos now! (If only there were GF Twizzlers!!)
I have relatives from a town named Kinniconick, which is pronounced Kenny -kuh -nick, so I wonder if your donut company is pronounced the same way. Love your videos! UA-cam recommended them to me this morning and I am binge watching!
Hey Maggie! I just looked up the company on UA-cam because now I'm curious but it looks like it is pronounced the way I did in the video. But that's a crazy coincidence! 😊 Also, I'm so excited my videos were recommended for you! Thanks for much for binge watching and commenting! 🙏🥳
For me the conclusion I seem to be coming to is to not depend on gluten free items that try to simulate something that is normally gluten filled. Ex. Avoid gluten free bread because they are expensive, often not as tasty as the original, and they tend to have a long questionable list of ingredients in an attempt to simulate the taste of gluten bread. 'stick with simpler foods.
Actually some of that stuff is really good, we buy bread and rolls from a company called Schär (not sure if they’re available outside of Europe though) and it’s so good my wife and kids even steal my gluten free bread and rolls 😂 besides that I agree, best go naturally gluten-free.
Most things are gluten free just cook meat and veg rice potato based meals and make your own sticks from chicken roasts! Real food is gluten free and just watch out for maltodextrin and malt syrups. Anything malt. Rice flours almond meal for baking muffins and for bread you want a lot more fat to prevent crumbling if you make yourself. I personally think I am allergic to yeast and gluten yeast definitely causes me issues too.
At 81, and having to learn how to do this is mind boggling.
All help is appreciated. Thanks!

My family is not going to change most of what they make for dinner example pizza, lasagna, spaghetti
I tried once and they weren't that supportive or they don't believe I'm sick even the doctors but going gluten free is one of the only options I have and I wish there was more support and guidance 😥😭
Hopefully I can feel better once I stick with it.
Thank you for making these videos. I was diagnosed 6 days ago and these videos are so helpful and comforting AND CANADIAN!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I can’t believe how informative this was, I was getting so confused on google
I was diagnosed with Graves disease this past weekend... you are making this diet/lifestyle change sound not that bad... thank you!
🙏🙏🙏
Yeah, I was the same. these really cheered me up. Good luck to you!
@@danmcdaid Thank you! Good luck to you too!
Very thankful my husband doesn't eat gluten in our condo. It's amazing not having to worry about cross-contamination at home.
On my first week and in Canada. Yes, I know kinnikinnick, never knew it was a berry, cool.
I have a family who just is convinced this is all in my head and physically CAN NOT do all of this at the current moment, so I have to deal with it for now, but Im saving this for the future.
My mum too
I was dealing with stomach and pelvic pain for months, but they couldn’t find out what was wrong with me.
I struggle with endometriosis as well so my whole life, I thought the pain was from that, I did not know that you can tax off your gluten-free items so thank you for that
Oh I’m so thankful for your channel
Thank you for the work you are doing by putting such valuable information.
What I really miss is bread - English muffins for one. And yay for kinnikinnick!
Also, my docs have me on gluten free and lactose free - I have to be creative.
Robyn! You are hilarious, AND my new favorite person! Happy to have found you. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your video i know was posted 3 years ago but i am on transition time right now ( get a health check result about 2-3 weeks a go ) so your video really help me a lot thank you
Hi again, just wanted to say thank you again for making this. Been feeling pretty awesome since going GF 10 months ago!
Hi thanks for sharing what do you eat for each meal? How do you feel satiated? Did you stop all grains!
Brilliant, however being in 🇬🇧 need to find equivalent food brands. Love your videos you make it all so fun, cheers
Toni
Found your channel. Yea! Barilla gf pasta is the best! I eat their spaghetti, penne, and no bake lasagna noodles
Panko is usually made of wheat, but you can find gluten-free Panko!
Here's the link:

I discovered through pain that I was sensitive to MSG and HFCS back in the 80s. Recently a friend remarked I was showing signs of gluten sensitivity.
Thank god for Dosa house food. Vegetarian Indian food use lentil and chickpea flour in a lot of their dishes. I have severe shellfish allergy and get intestinal problems with dairy. ER worthy hives from wheat. The Dosa House is where I can eat most items and not be scared.
I LOVE DOSA! 🤩 One of my favourite spots is an Indian restaurant as well. Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻
That’s what they reckon I have. Would you say once on medication you can eat it every now and then?
That’s what they reckon I’ve got. Would you say once on medication you can eat it every now and then?
Recovering donut addict here. Strangely enough, going gluten-free helped me quit being obsessed with gluten donuts. I'm one of those whose symptoms include overpowering cravings
This video is very informative and helpful!
FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE DOMINOS PIZZA!!! I used to work at a dominos and we DONT have a specific way to prevent cross contamination. DONT get the gluten free small crust if you have celiac or an intense gluten allergy!!
Wish I had this when I was diagnosed 8 years ago. I didn't eat for like a month. I was so nervous and couldn't easily find info.
Jill X
Amazing what gluten free does to the body if you are cutting it out and have celiac. My sister lost too much weight and I gained about 30kg
My partner's best friend is gluten free. No stress when planning dinners or being invited!
if you're in canada, PC's gluten free items are so good!
And there's apps to scan the barcode and give you the allergens
I am gluten sensitive. Just got diagnosed with it about 6 months ago. I think the hardest thing about it is not being able to go eat at restaurants. Especially for my family. We haven't been to a restaurant because of my gluten sensitivity and I feel bad for them. Help!!! What restaurants (if any) serve gluten free meals???
same...
And let's be honest. The first loaves of "bread" I bought after diagnosis tasted. Like. Crap. They fell apart so easily and made so many crumbs that I longed to be able to eat a sandwich on whole wheat bread.
Same here! You definitely learn which breads are good and which ones are better as breadcrumbs. 😂
that one I now stick with tastes pretty much like peas, haha. And it sticks to my teeth more than regular bread.. frikin rice flour... :D
Robyn this is video provides fun information.
I love this u should have a million likes
Warburtons glutton free tiger loaf in the Uk fantastic. Toast it nice Lurpack butter beans just use HP always seem alright.
Oh man I love wheat berries and faro grain. Guess I'll have to find a substitution.
That's great that you've found lots of great tasting gluten-free foods. I have to say that I didn't have the same experience starting out, but there are lots of foods that are just as good (if not better) than the real thing.
I'm so glad you're enjoying my channel! Thank you! 😄🙏
Im looking fwd to being less tired, and having normal bowel movements etc...but am hoping ill be less sensitive than most.(wishful thinking?)
My main indicator was am anti-transglutaminase of 161, which is what prompted further investigation..
Cheers
.
I put happy faces on the gluten free stuff especially the spices.
Thank you so much for these videos. I found out I'm gluten sensitive and I feel great cutting the stuff out. (I was tested for both wheat allergy and celiac, came up clear)
what fast food places do you recommend, my family and I do multiple goodwill / thrift store trips once in a while and sometimes like to get some food on the way back.
Hey! Thanks for your comment 😊
Where are you located? I can try to make some suggestions for fast food-though I can only speak to Canadian restaurants with confidence. 😅
@@robynsglutenfreeliving did not realize this was replied too, I've figured it out by now. :) Thanks!
I have pcos and hashimotos so im looking into a gluten free diet. This seems so overwhelming already 😭
Will you add links to GF beer? I have found a few but I bet many are looking. Thx
Wheatberries are actually amazing chewy little things, if you can eat them.
If some foods fall on the floor in the shared kitchen, will they be cross-contaminated?
Just found your channel and I'll definitely be watching all your videos. Do you know where we could order things like gluten free flour etc.....I live in South Africa, and although the supermarkets are starting to stock more gluten free options they are very expensive. I'd like to buy bulk items so that I can make everything myself mostly.....I need to make oat milk but I'm struggling to find gluten free oats, and when I do, I can't justify paying that price when I have to use a lot of it to make milk etc...... help!
I think you have a great business opportunity! Good luck :)
I m just going through this. Now imagIne having all ingredients in Swedish as i moved here two years ago and the language is still foreign to me 😢
What if you want to remove gluten from your diet because of a thyroid disease. Anyone???
Wow great channel!
Wheat berries are what is ground into flour.
GOD! You look so much like Uma Turman in Pulp Fiction... lol
A compliment (:
Oh man I really have this thing
Oh no! Have you had a celiac test yet? 😱
@@robynsglutenfreeliving I had a biopsy but I keep coming back negative. The thing is I could just tell it’s this. When i eliminate gluten in my life changes. And I’ve been taking Dapsone .It sucks because it gives you anemia
Do you have a like to know it for lipstick toothpaste etc
Wow kanada 👏👏👏 i wish Európe was that evolved to pay me for my gluten free diet
Hahaha it’s definitely not a huge tax credit and not everyone is eligible, but hey, it’s something! I think Italy actually has the best subsidy that I’ve heard of. Everywhere should be like Italy. 😂
Wonder if it could be ciliacs disease, I want to find out for myself before going to my GP thank you.
I cry when I have explosive diarrhea... So I'm ready to change this & stop being bloated and sick.
Thaaank uuuu
I tried some gluten free bread from the store and balled my eyes out
Legit did not know Lindt chocolate has barley malt syrup. I'm so sad! Also be prepared to pay double or triple the price for all things GF. But at least there's GF Oreos now! (If only there were GF Twizzlers!!)
right? I'm so heartbroken
did you get diarea and how did you handle it when out
I mean, you could just cut anything thats processed
The best gf pasta is jovial. Tastes just like imported Italian pasta
Hello fellow Canadian celiac
Hey! Thanks for your comments! 😊
Just bought a bunch of gluten free stuff
I have relatives from a town named Kinniconick, which is pronounced Kenny -kuh -nick, so I wonder if your donut company is pronounced the same way. Love your videos! UA-cam recommended them to me this morning and I am binge watching!
Hey Maggie!
I just looked up the company on UA-cam because now I'm curious but it looks like it is pronounced the way I did in the video. But that's a crazy coincidence! 😊
Also, I'm so excited my videos were recommended for you!
Just found out I have coeliac disease and need to go on a Gluten Free diet. How long does it take to get enough food in to start?
heyyy, I got diagnosed at around same time!
Um, I'm not sure I fully understand your question.. get enough food in what?
Most things are gluten free just cook meat and veg rice potato based meals and make your own sticks from chicken roasts! Real food is gluten free and just watch out for maltodextrin and malt syrups. Anything malt. Rice flours almond meal for baking muffins and for bread you want a lot more fat to prevent crumbling if you make yourself. I personally think I am allergic to yeast and gluten yeast definitely causes me issues too.
Wheat berries is where wheat like flour comes from
It’s so depressing not being able to eat gluten! Most gf products are 👎🏽
