Tom, Please Please protect your hearing. You will regret it if you don't. My Dad was like you and for most of his life he ended up with very little hearing. Just think of the family you are starting
@matthewwillson6515 bad idea, how are you supposed to listen to machine working ear defence yes ear pods listening to music is a recipe for very expensive mistakes on machines I'd ban that
@chriss7930 they come with volume buttons. Plus, use a bit of common sense where you use them. Sat in a tractor just fine, busy construction site maybe not. But common sense isn't so common anymore.
Hi Tom, that's amazing the amount of water laying in the paddocks. Maybe should have waited another week but any free hay can't be sneezed at. It's good you still listen to your dads opinion (to a point) and go with his experience and knowledge. The farm consumes alot of your time, especially with all the work with the new parlour build, so I hope you have a good break away this weekend spending quality time with your wife. Great video again. Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.
Yes protect your heating and when you started hitting water like that you should have gotten out and walk it a little so you can find where to stop mowing to stay or of the bog
Video to your usual standard Tom. Glad you kept your eye out for manhole covers, next time pt more air in the tyres then will float across the water. Have been watching your fun and mistakes for about three years still can't get enough, keep up all the good work .
This will sound a little counterintuitive but you need less air in your tires for more floatation. This is because the sagging of the tires gives you more contact area from the tire to the ground thus more floatation. The more you know😊 we run our tires for this reason a little lower on pressure we have relatively wet ground😅
tom needs to use his common sense and he should know better by his age that was not the right thing to be doing .......it might have made a good youtube video but mowing in those conditions is not good farming practice
I feel your pain with that wet muddy field, my sister's ain't much better. Though, I mow that with a push mower and tall wellies. It was quite a nice field. Till she got herself some horses. Then we found all the wet spots, and the stream that runs through it during heavy rains.
Hi Tom please reuse your water bottles. Fill them up, when empty, fill up again, put it in the fridge and rotate 3 or 4 bottles like that. You'll save lots of money and save the planet. Great video. Give my love to Jo 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great way to keep the germs alive. Plastic bottles are not made for reuse, and not safe to do so with. One time sure but not continually reuse. Better to buy bottles meant for reuse then.

As you were mowing, rodents were jumping out of the hay behind you and scurrying across the field into the tall hay. Raptors were in the air circling with the intent of diving upon the little guys & having them for lunch. There was quite a bit going on behind you. !

Also, as much as I love the content, maybe next year ease off on the big plans to allow you to spend as much time as possible with the little one. They change so much and so often in those first few months and you never get that time back.
Just curious if you ever thought of trying some 0 grazing and what do you think of it and what's your thoughts and would it work in your area and do you have the equipment to handle it just curious

What you need to do during the winter in go into the feilds and grade them so the water will drain better so you won't have all those wet spots
Make sure the main drain is down 🤦♂️

I bet all Tom's mates know not to talk to Tom about mowers after he's a had a couple of pints.😂 He's liable to get emotional.
have you thought about trying the zero grazing systems?
Yeah, just lots of costs
You done it Tom despite the water 👌👌👌👌🚜🚜🚜🚜
Tom is there any chance you could wear a Mic in the Tractor, I can’t hear a word over the noise?
I have never used hearing protection in over 25 years of operating various equipment and still have great hearing when I decide to actually listen lol
I remember towers! What a boy
Excellent job my brother 💙👍🏻
🎉🎉❤❤ love your work and keep up the good work ❤
Tom are you allowed to tile the fields?? That will get rid of the massive standing water.
Would drain if the ditch was down 🤦♂️
That last field is a really nice one. Wet conditions are a huge drag. Pun intended 😂😂😂
You ring them every day And you keep ringing till they get pissed off and then like magic it gets sorted.
How much of a difference to the grass did you see on the areas you sprayed with supersoil?
Yes I was wondering the same?

When you lift up the mower at the end of each row you need to lift up the main hydraulics as it is still dragging on the ground
Just curious if you ever thought of trying some 0 grazing and what do you think of it and what's your thoughts and would it work in your area and do you have the equipment to handle it just curious

You need to carry a pair of flippers and a snorkel in your tractor. 🤣😂
Why do you always cut clockwise and not counter (anti) clockwise if your mower sits to the right?
Because you don't want to travel on your standing grass before mowing it off
