Surf Fishing Ocean City MD in HOPES to Catch Migrating Striped Bass (December 2020)

- We have some great memories from years ago catching BIG Striped Bass on the beach in Ocean City Maryland. My brother and I wanted to give it a try even though the fishing report wasn't in our favor. Apparently the last few years in the migration the fish once they left the shores of New Jersey stay off the coast of Maryland and haven't showed up in the surf. We wanted to give it a try anyway and our friend Mark joined us! Unfortunately all we could find was frozen bait. Nothing beats fresh. There was a report of a slot size red drum caught a few days earlier. Unfortunately all we caught was Spiny Dogfish (sharks) and Skates. That's the way surf fishing goes most of the time. We were happy we didn't get skunked. We definitely made the best of it. This year you will see us on New Jersey Beaches as their Striper migration report was still on and popping.

in some parts of the uk the dogfish is considered a pest ,back in the old
days we used to cut a small notch in the dorsal fin . to be able to see if where catching the same one over and over .

Depends on the time of year. No rules in the off season

I been watching both your channels and even went back to the beginning on Hoover Boy’s and have watched allot of those too. Im sure some where along the lone you’ve said something but what is with not showing Mucks face? Is he an undercover fed? Or is he wanted in thirty states haha. What size sinker did you use on your high/low rig
Depends on the weather, tide, and size of bait. On a good day 2-3ozs. A bad day double that in a hurricane style sinker with metal arms.
