    I've had some great results with this product, if you leave it overnight it's alot more sturdy to demould. in shiny silicone moulds, the resin type, you get an excellent finish, almost gemstone finish, I've wire wrapped a few large cabochon and they look fab. Try some different moulds you will be pleasantly surprised I'm sure xx

      Kathryn Halstead thanks for the tips. I'll try using different mounds and leave overnight.

      Are they flexible still when they come out, like you'd have with alumilite white?

    Thank you for the video - did you brush your moulds with a light dusting of flour like the caulk lace ? I use a light dusting for moulds with paperclay , and i find that also breaks easily and warps when you demould if it's a large mould - would you say this was better than paperclay for fine details and strength ? Thank you so much !

      There's no need to brush any powder into the moulds. This stuff is like a stronger Plaster of Paris, but it's still not that strong. I have not used paper clay so can't really compare it.

    Hi! I would like to know if this product works for a terrazo piece? like small pieces to put in a main mixture and then in a mould? And if its a way to pigment de mix? like Jesmonite works. Im asking because in my country we dont have Jesmonite distributor, and im really interested in doing terazzo pieces.

      I don't think this would be a good product for terrazo. it is only slightly stronger than plaster of paris.

    thank you for the video, do you find that it scratches easily? i want to make some small skulls but i'd like them to be durable.

      alex smith it does scratch easily but not as bad as Plaster of Paris and I think if you paint it, it would be more durable

    Resin plaster mix - how much strengthen it is?

    • @CurioByBSpokeDesigns

      It's stronger than Plaster of Paris but I find it is still brittle.

    Would you use this rather than plaster of paris or air dry clay to make embellishments that you can use on furniture or mirrors?

    • @CurioByBSpokeDesigns
      @CurioByBSpokeDesigns  4 роки тому

      Yes, it's a little stronger than Plaster of Paris, however it is way more expensive. I don't like air dry clay at all as it has a tendency to crack, even months later cracks can appear.

    👋 hello...thanks for your videos and clear and simple explanations. Can I use this material to make jewelry?

  • @claudiecakes

    Hi! I use resin for moulds but it's really expensive so I am looking for alternatives. My question is: can i use this mixture in a silicone mould that i previously used resin inside? Or will i ruin that silicone mould and i’d be better making a whole new silicone mould specifically for the use of this mixture? Thanks!!

      Also - is this product as strong as baked polymer clay once cured? Sorry for all the questions!

      @CurioByBSpokeDesigns  4 роки тому

      no you should be OK to use this is the same mould. I use the same moulds for this, resin and polymer clay without issues

    Have you tried using PVA wood glue instead of water? This works for pop so I reckon this will be even better than pop.

    What’s the difference between this and Plaster of Paris?

    • @CurioByBSpokeDesigns
      @CurioByBSpokeDesigns  3 роки тому

      There is something added in to this to make it stronger, even though it's not that much stronger than Plaster of Paris

    Does anyone know i can pour a layer of resin and then back it with a layer of this? :)

    • @CurioByBSpokeDesigns
      @CurioByBSpokeDesigns  4 роки тому +1

      It's really not very strong - plaster of paris with PVA is about as strong.

      Curio By B-Spoke Designs I sort of meant for aesthetic reasons rather than to strengthen it, like would they bond?
