@@pissant42 Of course we're splitting hairs, that's what this monstrous thing known as the internet is for. That, and an infinite supply of cat memes for some reason.
Man, I really love David Wise's work, he really knows how to draw you into a world with his music. Very atmospheric, not to mention giving the world of Dinosaur Planet an ancient tribal theme to it.
Weird to think that if people like this didn't exist, this music may be lost to time due to releasing before the internet became the mainstream way of sharing music.
This game had so much potential to become a classic that it closed the Nintendo 64 lifecycle masterfully, a pity it turned into a strange Star Fox that hardly anyone remembers or cares about nowadays. I really hate the changes the game has gone through.
Oh my gosh! 9:00 that is so beautiful! It is from that cutscene where Krystal is captured. It sounds really like a beta version of the thorntail holow night theme! Very beautiful! Thx!
One thing is for sure they patched it up to display the credits when you first play it and the logo appears which is actually pretty cool. If it was fully playable and ready to go then I can't wait to start up a new save file just to play through the whole section of the game again. They also got our famous boi Sabre back in the game. "Sabre: Finally back in my spotlight for the final time."
More than anything, i get huge jak and daxter 1 vibes from the soundtrack in this game. Maybe it's the instrument, im not fully sure but if you play through that game as many times as i have, you notice its taste distinctively!
Dinosaur Planet/ Starfox Adventures does feel like it has a Naughty Dog feeling especially Jak and Daxter, It also kinda has a Disney Tarzan feeling to.
I finally found this video again! :D It's always been one of my favorites because of how it shows the different locations. A step above most other videos
21:44 Note that there is a giant Asteroid coming into the scene. So Dinosaur Planet N64 was supposed to have something like a Majora's Mask apocalypse event.
ua-cam.com/video/miwzYnXoeh4/v-deo.html Skip to the end of the video. Last two minutes. This was part of the orginal ge to by the way, it was just with Krystal
I genuinely have no idea, I didn't mark it as unlisted but I noticed one day that it was. Possibly a bug while unlisting other videos? UA-cam also randomly enabled ads on this somewhat recently too.
@@space-net That sucks man, youtube shenanigans 😠 btw do you plan on uploading a part 2 or something ? more music was extracted from the build since this upload when the whole game got leaked, just curious :)
@@azarelzaleta7619 I probably will at some point, although I selected the music the mix was made by a friend who I'm still in contact with so I'm sure we could work something out, I'm not great with audio editing
Could've? Well it's not like the game was dumped in a trash and forgotten. The game was remade into StarFox Adventures and it definitely wasn't rushed. SF Adventures looks and plays great. Plus most of the songs from Dinosaur Planet got into SF Adventures anyways. The only thing I'd say that was better in Dinosaur Planet than in SF Adventures is Drakor. Other than that and some minor things, SF Adventures is just Dinosaur Planet but on GameCube and without the character switching (which let's be honest, is not a big deal since both characters play identical)
@@EdisonicDX the story in adventures is much worst in comparison, star fox and dinosaur planet are very different in tone, flying sections felt out of place, and features were cut, like the day/night cycle, alternating gameplay with Crystal and her partner, etc... SFA is a rushed game, it's very clear when you look at what it could've been on DP.
@@Rihcterwilker I agree with the flying sections but they were fun and introduced me to the other StarFox games. But I don't see the story in Adventures as worse except for the Krazoa back story stuff. Adventures didn't explain that at all lol. Both games are still essentially the same, Krystal/Fox gets distress call, Scales is doing bad stuff, dinosaurs, gotta get keystones and Krazoa junk, Drakor/Andross was actually the mastermind of it all. But Adventures is still not a rushed game, just compare Thorntail Hollow, Cape Claw, and the Lightfoot village in Adventures to Dinosaur Planet. Those levels in Adventures are bigger and with more stuff to do in them. If Adventures was a rushed game, they wouldn't have the time to make a new language and put it in the game lol. Also Adventure does have a day/night cycle dude.
@@EdisonicDX nice point, but a rushed game is a rushed game. and you know it was rushed when they just stopped working on the incomplete areas from DP and just threw everything else into SFA and rerouted it in a mash-mash of little interval sections. plus, you also know the game was rushed because it was released a single day before rare was aquired by microsoft.
It was either a mistake or a bug, I unlisted some older videos that were only supposed to be seen by a handful of friends years ago and I guess this video got caught somehow?
Heres your tracklist, people. let me know if i got anything wrong.

My dream is to make a game like this one day, with the same style of "slightly scuffed n64 graphics". I don't care if nobody even plays it haha
God im so happy this game was somewhat recovered
i pray one day Rare decides to remake this story someday, it deserves a second chance
Golden Plains is just Beta Ocean Force Point Temple, while the Desert Force Point Temple is the Beta Volcano Force Point Temple. Epic.
Yeah it's interesting how things got chopped and changed up so much
David Wise is the best VGM composer
I agree

Is it just me or does Ice Mountain sled race have a lot of the same melody and tribal chanting as Mystic Ruins from Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut?

This game could've been on par with dkc 1 and 2 in terms of immersive music. A shame it had to become a rushed starfox game...
