This is an amazing video! I'd say after watching this video Im going to change my tire next time. But nope. I'd gonna call Kyle up and have him do it cuz he's the best.
Thanks Casey! For me it just gives me peace of mind knowing that everything has been consistently tightened! If you check the description there’s the link for the one I got. It’s been real good to me so far!
Changed my tire! Super excited to hop on and shred! ...but gotta wait for the juice to cure. Thank you for the tutorial! Hoosier treaded if you're curious.
Excellent tutorial! Can't wait for my Burris treaded to come in and happy you went over what the torque spec was and keeping pressure off the tire to hopefully maintain a nice a alignment.🙌
My personal favorite is the Xtrarad tire from float life. It’s a slick tire. If you’re looking for a treaded tire the craft and ride treaded tire is an awesome tire!
Watched a few videos before this one and all of them completely dissembled the rails. I was confused because I have done a few XR changes and always keep the rails together like you have. Good to know it's the same on the pint. Nice tutorial 👍
Thanks for the vid. I've always set beads with the stem out. Not onewheels but motorcycle dirt bike etc. No stem set beads then install stem set pressure.
Hey mate, a bit of a random question regarding the Pint: Do you happen to know whether the original Pint chargers (car, ultra) will work with the Pint X? Much appreciated.
What do you do when you've broken 3 tips and 1 bolt won't come out?? I have a flat and an Enduro tire and I'm stuck at this dumbest bolt that won't budge Thanks Kyle
@@carvecreative appreciate the help i was also told to use a soldering gun and heat up the loc tight and try breaking it loose that way. I ended up buying craft and rides tool set and new hardware if all fails im drilling it out but thanks again
T20 torx for footpads and bumpers T30 torx for axle bolts Philips #1 for harness covers on axle blocks Also highly suggest using impact driver on the axle bolts other wise they tend to break the t30 bits or strip out the head of the bolt.
In the motorcycle world, the stem goes opposite the paint mark, across the wheel, an indicator from manufacturing and helps with balancing the tire/ wheel.
@@carvecreative really? knowing that helps a lot. Ive been wanting a ow for the last few summers but right as i was going to order an xr they announced the GT. but with all the negative reviews i didnt noe what to do. it was between hoping to find a decent used XR and maybe going for the pint x. knowing that the pint x is looking a lot better. thanks.
When you're showing us how to remove the tire with a board, on the second side we can see some red paint like stuff explode out... What is that?😅 I'm about to change my own wheel and I'm a tad nervous
Good video! But that bucket isn't going to help you in the off chance your tire explodes......well, maybe create a little extra plastic shrapnel to fly around 🤷🏼♂️
You could always carefully drill off the head of the bolts, and then remove the rail afterwards. Once the rails removed, you can take a vice grip to spin the threaded part of the bolt out of the fixture.
@@carvecreative Thanks for the response. I just bought a bunch of high quality bits so hopefully that works. I was using cheap bits and at least got 1 of the bolts loose. Thank you for the alternative solution if this still doesn't work!
@@AuRowe here’s another tip. Put the board on its side. Center your weight over that wheel and carefully put downward force on the bolt as you’re spinning.
Spent an hour with metal tools, and dad came out to assist.. bent the tire bead that sits on the rim... watching you do this so easily is really frustrating.😢 I've had 35 seizures in 2 years, I get frustrated fast.😕
If you look at the motor one side has a deep cutout for the tire to sit in when changing the tire. Make sure to slide the bead of the tire into that cut out and it will go on and come off much easier
I like the way you change the tyre keeping the board Assembled, without Removing the rails. The bucket trick is cool too. Thanks for the tuto.
Thanks for watching Roland!
I can tell that you are Australian by how you spell tire

That bucket trick - Pro tip for real!
I'm going to have to get myself a torque wrench now. Good tip and sweet video all around!

best tire change info and vid i found on the pint x thank you man !! get a thumbs up and sub for sure.

That’s awesome! Glad we could help!
How do you like the Hoosier?
Super cool! I'm enjoying it! Now I need to invest in a fender! 😆
The tires like "eat my dust!"
Nice! I just ordered a Hoosier treaded so I can have it ready when my stock tire fails. I have just over 1700 miles on the stock tire already.
Thanks for the video man, couldn't of done it without it.

How long does it take to hear the second tire bead
Every tire is different and depends if you use a lubricant to help set it! Usually not too far behind the first though!
Dreading having to do this one day. Just got my pint x
It’s not too bad. Just take your time
What are the power tools and name brand of the torque you used ?
Awesome! I’m choosing a tire replacement on my X. There isn’t much tire review on UA-cam, hoping you guys would make that content!

Oooo what is the name of the wrench attachment that lets you flip it around 180? 3:30
does the bms not freak out when the tire gets unplugged and replugged back in?
No. The motor does not affect the BMS at all
Is this what I would have to do if I got a puncture on the one wheel pint x or are they run flats?
Yes. They are not solid tires
What is the tool you used to remove the axel bolts with a T30 bit? I tried everything from a drill driver to impact driver all failed me big time!
Carve please respond to this, my allen t30 tool snapped
When you remove the motor plugs/connectors do they just pull right off?
Nice! Is it the same process for the normal Pint? If not, what is done differently?
Same process! Bumpers are different
@@carvecreative Awesome, thanks!
Very nice instruction and technique. Only thing missing is the rubber hitting the road.
Thank you! Plenty of footage to come!
Does it work the same for the normal pint
Yes
Hey mate, a bit of a random question regarding the Pint: Do you happen to know whether the original Pint chargers (car, ultra) will work with the Pint X?
Much appreciated.
Yes they will! It takes twice as long to charge but they actually give you the standard pint charger when you purchase a pint x. Have a good one!
Is changing the GT about the same process?
Pretty much!
Hi ! Nice video. Do you recommend the same torque setting to axle bolts on a GT ?
Thanks 🙏🏽
Yeah 20 ft lbs should be good!
@@carvecreative Thanks. It’s an OEM setting or yours ?
@@carvecreative I broke my titanium screw with your torque value 😞🥲
@@Victor-rv8kc for real? I’m so sorry about that I’ve never had that issue at that setting…
@@carvecreative Yes.. In the video you stop at 16… so go to 15 for me.
20 too hard..
Is it required to remove the valve core? Or is it possible to work around without the tool.
You could just let all the air out of the tire!

Use a drill bit thats about as wide as shaft as the axel bolt. Drill the head off very carefully
After that you can take off the rail and use a vice grip players to spin it out very carefully!

Can you please list all of the tools (exact name for reference)? Looks like a solid toolkit for all around OW adjustments, I’m digging it. 🤙🏼
Yes! Give me a couple hours and when I get home I’ll add details and links to the video description for everyone!
T20 torx for footpads and bumpers
T30 torx for axle bolts
Philips #1 for harness covers on axle blocks
Also highly suggest using impact driver on the axle bolts other wise they tend to break the t30 bits or strip out the head of the bolt.
Just updated the description with a link to all the tools used. Hope it helps!
Thank you so much

Hi, is 20 inch pound what you use for all hub bolts for all boards?
Hello! 20 ft lbs is what use!
Paint marks from Burris actually don’t indicate valve stem placement, they are inspection marks at the factory and don’t actually need to be aligned.
Thanks for the heads up Dustin! I was misinformed.
I was wondering about this from other videos as well. My new tire didn't have any dots so I just slapped it on wherever 🙂
In the motorcycle world, the stem goes opposite the paint mark, across the wheel, an indicator from manufacturing and helps with balancing the tire/ wheel.
Great 👍 video !! You explained everything perfect thanks for the video💯
Glad we could help out!
I want to replace the stock Pint X tire but doing this terrifies me.

wait, i thought taking these things apart bricked them? or is that just the gt?
That’s only the GT if you unhook the BmS

Does the pint x have custom mode in the app????
No it doesn’t unfortunately. I’m a big fan of Pacific though. Very similar to Mission on XR
Man, the Burris tire looked a lot easier to get off than my Vega😳🤣

You left out taking off the plates that hold the wheel axle in place two screws on each.... One on each side.
When you're showing us how to remove the tire with a board, on the second side we can see some red paint like stuff explode out... What is that?😅 I'm about to change my own wheel and I'm a tad nervous

Very true! Better than nothing though!
the bead sets a lot faster if you dont put the valve core in people
Not all air compressors work without the valve core.
I think I broke my onewheel pint x😢
Dang I thought this thing have inner tube 😅
Nope 😂
Broken 5 T30 bits so far trying to get the damn axel bolts off. Using proprietary bolts like that (and TP45 for the GT😡) is some Apple-level nonsense

Don't anybody TRY THIS! I don't know what he did but it's NOT that its easy! He mustve had a very soft tire to be able to manhandle it like that
It takes practice. I’ve probably changed 100 tires by now so it’s become easy for me. I hope you got it figured out!
