Just purchased a pair of Spanish made dan post boots that I am positive are from the 1970s . I saw these boots for the first time in 1974 . They are 14 inch stove pipe boots in calfskin style 6500 , they look and fit great.
Vintage Dan Post Boots were great. I wish boot companies would start making more widths sizes for their boots like they used to. Even though the boots weren’t in the best condition when you received them, once they have a little help from the cobbler they will serve you well. It’s great you were able to find a pair of Dan Posts made in Spain and in your true size to expand your boot collection, Jeremiah.
Europe def has this capability. And just needs @Jeremiahcraig and a few others to get some contracted boots made in Spain again.. These factories are well established in Spain, Portugal and Italy..
Sendra and mayura are both spanish boot brands. Those are probably the most sold boots in europe. Great quality too!
I got my Dan post shark skin last week. Very comfortable and the skin is amazing
I love those boots. From the color to the shape ! They look nice. I like this style of boots !
They look fantastic, what a great find and great heel.
What a coincidence!!! I’ve been looking at Dan Post cowboy boots for a few days, You are the only Music and boot channel I watch! Keep up the review videos.
Awesome Find! 😎
Nice find!!
Previous owner(s) changed the colors? That’s the boot’s history.
Only makes them more valuable on my book.
Great looking boots! Love the colour. What a bargain!
Nice looking boots.
Can we get a cowboy hat video iv seen you do boots to belts to pants but never a cowboy hat.😁
Very cool.
I was able to purchase a brand new made in Spain pair (Model 6695) that I bought on Poshmark back in 2019 for around $75 that are 8D men's. They are beautiful and cognac color with darker staining added to the leather to give them depth and an aging effect. Though I might be wrong, it looks like they might have done this regularly in the factory possibly. They have cording only at the top of the shafts, no toe bugs or wrinkles, completely calfskin lined, and are definitely more Spanish influenced with a more stove pipe shape to said shafts. The heels have 8 small layers of stacked leather not including the welt which is almost impossible to find these days on mass produced boots. I researched them years ago and though I forgot how I narrowed the dates down via model number, I came up with them being made sometime between 1979 - 1981. Stitching on the welt is very dense as it is on the vamp and shaft. They had absolutely no scuffing and the Dan Post branding on the sole was imprinted with goldleaf or gold paint. Though, I quickly added a toppysole for more longevity even though I have only worn them once so far because I hate to mess them up lol.
Keep up the great work Jeremiah, been a subscriber since almost the beginning.
I had a silver pair that were unfortunately too large for myself, they were the absolute comfiest pair I have ever owned. The leather was unbelievably supple. I haven't met a pair of slippers that could rival those things. Hopefully one day I'll come across another pair a half size smaller. Great video!
Love the boots! My question is what jeans are you wearing here since they look great
Hey could you please make a video about heel and sole dressing care? is there any product that doesn’t change the colour of them? Thanks.
The boots look nice
@JeremiahCraig Any opinion on the current quality of Dan Post vs Tony Lama? I'm looking into a pair of similiarly priced ostrich boots from one of these companies at the moment.
That's a good looking boot
Hey can you do one of the old west boots round toe boots review?
Those Dan Post are interesting never seen made in Spain..... I have a older pair Dan Post I where everyday. ❤
they dont make em like they used to - $10 is a killer deal - congrats! 👊🏻🤠
Spain makes and design great footwear looks for exemple the Canarian Manolo Blahnik the famous Manolo's.the Sex and the City series
My Marlboro dan post doesn't say where they were made any idea? I wear 12B also and some 11D fit well also 12B is my favorite vontage nocona size.
Thanks!
I’ve been waiting for a Durango rebel boot rundown wishing you would make one
Working on the video! Should be out this month or next month if I can manage it
@@JeremiahCraig thanks man I love the vid can’t wait for it
I have some Sendra & Sancho boots, like them a lot. I am looking to purchase some US boots. How does the quality from the 2 countries compare?
Great find! So glad you were able to find them in your true size. I actually like the aftermarket color and stained welt stitching.
🤠🤠🥾
Always have been wary about used footwear. Yes, You can find great deals but you can get more than that, like foot/ toenail fungus and are you sure that the leather sole will reshape entirely to the new owner’s foot? I’m not quite sure. I guess it depends on the condition and how many times the boots have been worn.
I’m still wearing my 7-8 years old made in Mexico Ariat boots but looking to spoil myself soon with probably a pair of Boulet ostrich.
Where you are at in your career. Now is the time to track down the factory in Spain and get your own line of Cowboy boots on the market... And make it a 501c Charity to train people and send people to Spain to learn how to make tradtional boots...
Shame they aren't in the best condition, shows that a bit of tlc can do wonders on bringing back older boots.
You should make cowboy hat reviews or belt buckle reviews
Did they make these boots for the spaghetti western movies made in spain?
