- Fabian made it back home with his Land Rover Discovery from a long trip down to Africa. We checked out his car to address a misterious coolant leak and found a serious oil leak.

If this taught me anything…it’s that I need a lathe And an engine in my kitchen…😂
Yes absolutely😅👌🙋♀️
you know the engine in the kitchen is standard for bikers........you're lucky its not in the bath!
@@Vera_and_Christian or a landcruiser
Seems the minimum of requirements🤣
@@billhanson4921😂😂
Fabian is one lucky guy having you two as friends! Very well.
6:04 and that’s one of the reasons why we love you two so much. ❤
No commercials, No sponsors, straight to the point: Land Rover!!!
Your knowledge of the discovery is amazing. As a challenge you should try diagnosing a problem and fixing it wearing a blindfold.wouldn't mind betting you could do it.your skills are amazing.
Another Sunday morning delight
Ditto!
I'm from Argentina, I'm not a mechanic of any sort, I' don't drive a LR nor do I know anybody who does, I actually own and drive a toyota sw4 (fortuner) and I'm new to your channel and can't get enough of it.. very funny, very informative, very nice content indeed. best regards!
😅👍🙋♀️
Great fault diagnosis as usual, and so glad you're now happy with the Queen.
Love the German humour from Christian and Vera. Best regards from Australia.
Nice seeing Fabian again, thanks guys.
Things to get for my kitchen 1. Lathe 2. Engine. 3. Bandsaw 😊
Once or twice per week I find myself looking for a L322 tdv8 in mobile, it's good that after I watch your vídeos this need of a LR in my life goes away😂
😅we look daily and I would love to buy more🫣😅🙋♀️
LRTime is just as satisfying on a wet Monday afternoon as it is on a Sunday morning and that’s a fact. I still marvel at the plethora of machines in your basement. Good work guys.
Christian and the Queen!!!!!! Learnt loads again. Thanks LR time.
I remember well done Vera and Christian KEEP up the good work on discovery 4😊
Yep!
That’s started my day the correct way!
Always feel positive after a dose of LR Time👌
All Hail the King, complaining that Vera is not around!! Vera DO NOT leave the King alone, he will mess up!!! Vera will announce in the next episode, That the King has left the building!! Happy to see the Queen back, thanks for the entertainment, makes my sunday mornings enjoyable!
Absolute gem on a Sunday morning with the one liners and the banter, keep up the fantastic work.
So glad to see the queen back. I picked up a L320 sport last week and am so glad to be back in a Range Rover (if only a sport).
Congratulations on the mission to get Land Rover to repair the Queen. A least the small compromised has brought a smile to Christian's face. See you next Sunday!
Great to see fabian home and safe. Straight to his go to life saver Christian and Vera! Then when you told Vera to get her finger nails off the paint.. Howling 😂. Now I can rest and go watch the starship lift off. Thanks again guys another lovely Sunday morning..
Can't believe I'm all excited now waiting for an episode of happy Christian and the Queen, yet I still don't own a Land Rover.
Great to have the Queen back! 😊 Hoping that Fabian didn’t stress too much.
Good morning folks another great video happy Sunday
Let’s go Vera and Christian!
Looking forward to seeing the next video on the steering joints. Good work C&V (and Fabian).
I've got a bloody great big grin on my face again. Thank you.
Yet another great video on LR Time with Vera and Christian...y weekly fix has been achieved...many thanks to the Great Team
Thanks again guys !
The MR Bean moment was so well placed 😀😀😀😀
My Sunday fix thank you for another informative video. Stay safe you two.
Your explanation on the how and why of this problem is excellent.
Sunday morning in Peru and not complete without a journey with LR Time...:)
I'm a few days late catching up with this after a 500 mile round trip from London to Cornwall this week end in my reliable petrol v8 d3 😂. 4 adults 2 dogs roof box and 23 mpg. Glad the 405 is fixed and LR Germany did the right thing.
Happy Sunday Vera and Christian. Great video. Happy return of the Queen.
Sherlock Holmes hat on today, glad to see the Queen fixed and well done Landrover again. I was picked up on saying that last week, but my brand new Triumph bike doesn't get the same backup in spite of emails and calls... and a lot of other automotive companies dodge their responsibilities regarding warranty and backup but Landrover always seem to be the one to get knocked... Enjoyed the video immensely though, and those blanks for the pipes were a work of art!
Thanks. LR came through here which was nice. Christian
years ago i saw a mechanic go to an engine and take the rad cap off and he got scalded and spent some time in hospital ok these days with the screw type caps just loosen then just a bit of a turn then leave alone glad your friend made it back after such a long trip and it should only run for a few minuets for the test. thanks for the video
Come on Christian, we all know Vera is really your Queen! Vera Regina 😅😅
These videos, which I watch every Sunday, reinforce my Toyotaness.
Great video guys. Glad to see you have your queen back. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼
This is the only instance where being in the U.S that I don’t lust after the diesel engine option in the LR3. The Jaguar V8 in the LR3 is very reliable.
Side note. The color on Vera’s disco is perfect! I don’t think we ever got that option sadly
The petrol V8 in the Disco 3 (LR3) wasn’t a Jaguar V8 but the 4.4BMW V8. Its reliability is nothing special actually.
@@hughmarcus1 False. The disco 3 (LR3) uses the AJV8. Which is a Jaguar motor.
@@sarahdell4042you’re probably thinking of the 4.2 (which was a later option on international markets) the 4.4 fitted at the launch of the D3 was a BMW unit the same as was fitted to the L322 Range Rover
@@hughmarcus1 I’m based in the US. All LR3 here were the 4.4 AJV8. Google is your friend
@@sarahdell4042Google is no one’s friend. I prefer to check the actual specs on a proper website.
Your American arrogance is noted.
Different engines were often fitted in the American market which is dominated by petrol.
The reverse is true in European markets.
What’s fitted in America isn’t necessarily fitted elsewhere.
If you climbed off your high horse you’d see that already mentioned that. 🙄
Another great episode.
And once again another fantastic video I love seeing your diagnostics and how you track down the fault it was just perfect. Have a good Sunday both of you❤
Hope you guys are ok , we do know there are health issues in the family
Take care and see you when your ready 🤞
Hi guys, I love watching you!
From Canada
I am not understand. What are you doing with this vehicles ,
I watching you just for fun , for relaxing !
Love your interaction with each other !
Thank you so much guys !
Pretty soon there will be a long line in front of your house every Saturday hoping for free servicing. Nice to see the queen at the end. More queen content please!😊
Oh, I get about 20 emails each week, asking to come by on a Saturday😅👍🙋♀️
Thank you.
Morning guys 👍👍👍👍
I have a Sykes Pickavant rad tester I would start testing the rad cap first great episode
Happy to see Christian back in his queen
Very enjoyable video thank you.
Fabians face when you mentioned what needed doing, he though his wallet would become empty until Christian said it'd be repaired free by LR Time & after that you could see Fabian smiling
I think that he meant the cost of the labour was down to LR Time?
He should be happy to get the repair for free, and he should order Pizza, so I don‘t have to cook after spending an entire day on his car. 😅👍🙋♀️
Wunderbar!!! I would love to have a breakdown of his costs on his trip
Your knowledge is phenomenal on the discovery.
As a challenge try diagnosing and fixing a problem wearing a blindfold.wouldnt mind betting you would succeed.
I have the same test kit, luckily have not had to use it yet.
Keep the videos coming, they make my sunday.👍
Can't wait for next Sunday
Thanks for the sharing your knowledge with everyone, 🙏
God bless you and your family ❤
Awesome, thank you...
Another great episode! I love seeing all those gorgeous LRs in your driveway and Christian, I am very happy you have "The Queen" back. That is a sweet ride!. Hoping you change your mind and get another LR!
The problem is that we just can‘t be adding. The next car will be sold after the repair unfortunately. Insurance and tax is just too much for that many cars.🫣😅🙋♀️
Another interesting video, thanks guys.
Looking forward to watch what they managed to do in the suspention. And of course, IF there is a better and safer way to fix this, problem, why don't they anounce a recall? What are they waiting for? Someone to get injured?
The smile on your face says it all. Congrats for the video once more
Another great video, glad you are happy with the return of the Queen.
Sunday morning staple, thank you. I had Mercedes e class diesel oil cooler leak (The oil cooler is in the middle of the V so it takes a couple of days to change but as soon as I changed the PCV valve, it stopped. The crank case was over-pressured.
Oh Vera you would look good in a new Discovery they are beautiful 😍
It‘s a love hate relationship with the Disco 5🫣🙋♀️
Thank you for a great video.
I just Love watching you guys you are so entertaining.
Guten Morgen Vera & Christian 😊 Love theses diagnostics videos and good seeing Fabian’s LR 👍🏻 Happy Christian with his Queen 👸back 🤣 take care until next Sunday 🤩 x
ok this time I am ready for this episode , I had my coffee already that way I avoid coffee spray all over my computer !! , I just love these guys , Vera and Christian are the kind of kids I would adopt in a heart beat
😅🤗🙏🙋♀️
So pleased to see that you got the Range Rover back, another great video guys.Great work shop ,and the ability to utilise it.
looking forward to that
Can't wait until next video, 😊.
Old Toyota driver who checks Gear oil every 10 years.
That spare engine would look fantastic in an XJ ❤
You need to check your torque spanner, on the passenger side blank of plate you set the one nut to clonk clonk and the other nut to click click. Just saying!. Another great video.
I love how excited Christian is with the return of the Queen. You know you can control the heating and cooling of the seats by pushing the temperature control wheels. Just sayin'
Not on this model. Just saying😅🤗🙋♀️
Spot on you two…
Good morning LR Time like last week video it was a lot of good information thank you
Thanks!
Wow, thank you so much🤗🙏🙏💪🙋♀️Vera
Great job, yet again. Hopefully I see some repairs on my model, 2013 SDV6
We have more than enough content from our 5 disco 4s we have owned over the years, check out our videos.😅👍🙋♀️
10,000 km across Africa excellent and only twice on the hook excellent, my friends John and Pat went across Africa twice in there series 1 which they still have , before they retired they were a independent Landrover garage even main dealers sent them vehicles they couldn’t fix,
Looking forward to on going work on Fabian’s car and the full story of the Queen
Damn... you even machined custom fitted metal hose caps..........
I want you to be my friend and neighbor... My LR4 needs it
OMG rate is up again as Fabian returns 😁
Nicely done! You are lucky Fabian’s is the 2.7 engine. GEN2 EGRs are a nightmare. Body off job! Have a great Sunday. Ty
Not for us. 😃👍🙋♀️
You have a wonderful workshop i wish i had it
Never ever take your woman to a New car showroom, if she is happy with what she has leave her at home 👍🏻
Only kidding Vera 🤣
You are absolutely right. 😅👍🙋♀️
What a great Sunday video full of entertaining content.... I'm a bit late watching it because I'm looking for a new car! Christian do you remember seeing my A5 not so long ago ? Well the 7 S Tronic gearbox failed last Sunday and the repair costs were way beyond what I paid for the car ..... It's gone to Poli land or Rumania to be repaired and sold on...😂
Hope you get a Land Rover again🫣😅👌🙋♀️
great job as always keep up the great work glad you got the queen back next video please
Sounds to me like jaguar xj is coming soon?
Glad you've got your Queen back, but probably not as glad as Fabian is to have you guys as mechanics!! 😉 Keep up the good work!
I have the new Discovery (facelifted, so what you would have seen in the showroom) and it's a lovely thing... would give the Queen a run for her money and a huge improvement over the initial D5's I think. Land Rover's best kept secret in the current range.
Well done Christian and Vera great content, I have a idea send the rebuilt engine to Australia and the community will find you a doner body and then you can go on all the big outback adventures with a decent engine, older discos with sad engines are fairly easy to find, just a idea for you . Have a great day
i have the same big smile with my 300bhp landrover defender with the x5 m57 and auto box i cant stop driving it lot of people get a big surprise when i fly past them now i know why people buy the grenadier awsome
😅👍🙋♀️
Hi christian and vera.what a great video.the only way to spend Sunday mornings.fabian is so lucky to have you guys as friends.image what landrover would charge for those jobs.😊😊😊
You both guys have blown headgaskets, time for a rebuild :)
No blown headgaskets. 😅👍🙋♀️
Okayy good. So, you have gen 2 engine for Jag F-pace, XF x260 or XJ x351 facelift maybe🤭. Still I can't wait for the Jaguar content 👍 . And, what do you say about the new inline 6 diesel that facelifted F-pace is using?
Wow that was an expensive trip. 😮
Vera " i will never get rid of my Discovery 3" also Vera "I think i want a new Discovery ' !! 😁
Just as a project car, the „new“ Discovery, or Discovery 5 as some call it. Not „a“ new Discovery.🙋♀️
Fantastic 🏴🏴🏴
Love it, lathe and other machinery. Suggestion: stick the spare V6 in a C6, for a change. That will be a challenge! Request by a Citroen Xm owner 😊
With all these repairs on 2.7 TD V6 I think it’s time for a 4.4 V8 petrol upgrade. I mean 14.5L/100km isn’t great but I feel the reliability is worth it.
If we buy a Petrol, then a 5L superchareged👍🙋♀️
The supercharge 5.0L would be a blast to drive but it's reliability does not compare to the the AJ41 4.4 V8. The reliable AJ41 v8 powered land rovers disco 3's are one four wheelers best kept secrets. They are just in love with petrol and blessed with a tiny tank. Any engine designed with a Bed plate to hold the main bearings is gold in my book. @@Vera_and_Christian
Good video even though I haven't a land rover.I love watching you two working on them.My daughter has the 3.0 jag and my Father has the 2.2 Jag and I have to do both timing belts soon .
🫣😅🙋♀️
Chinese pump fun. We’ve all been there. Something to do with the 85% saving one time use thing. I’m terrible for it. Myself.
The sniff test, 👍 no exhaust gas detected.
Do hope it is a jaguar, fantastic video as usual
I would agree with you on many things as a proud ownee of LR3 but toyota would never hever have such an issue after a similar trip. Note i own a toyota and VW too
