How far can the HUMVEE tow a cybertruck in freezing weather?
I like the way you think.
@@JerryRigEverything Whisper beating the cybertruck 👀
2ft 😂😅🤣
Please make a video on that and how far it can go without towing how much it currently weighs and efficiency and anything else you can think of thanks can’t wait!!!!
@jerryrigeverything I'm fat and the 4x is sold out...any acceptioms
6:08 'the time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time' is such a beautiful line, im going to have to use that later.
it's such a beautiful paradoxical quote..
Great job on the Humvee project, really enjoyed watching the progress. It's true, the value of learning and the experience gained is far more precious than any amount of money spent.

This was one of the best series on UA-cam ever. A commitment to learning and pushing through difficulties was inspiring. Can’t wait to see the paint job. Great job Zack!
One of the most underrated, but probably most important, parts of this video is the mention of the unique situation you're in. That's something many watching wouldn't necessarily think about, but really shines a light on the true value of the project. I personally really appreciate you mentioning that part.
Which was.....?
@@DaysofKnightHe was able to recoup all of the money he spent (and more) through the videos he made of the build process (and the merch). And he invested the leftover money into his wheelchair manufacturing company.
@@DaysofKnight... UA-cam paid for it.
@@DaysofKnight can't watch a 7 minute video?
@@Jsjsjjssjs he could have meant anything
Dude it looks freaking amazing with the slant back. Can’t wait to see it all painted and interior finished.. best channel on UA-cam no question.
WOW! I love the transparency, it has been fun following along the journey!!
Love this series, and to show my love and being thankful for the entertainment you provide Zack, I have just ordered a shirt, it will be amazing next to my Knife I already have for 2 years. Thanks Zack 🙏
One of the most interesting and fun DIY projects on this channel, and I'm glad that I've followed throughout the journey. The self made aspect of this truck has an incalculable value! 👍
True
On UA-cam!
One of the most interesting and fun DIY projects in history of our species :)
I agree, honestly the reson i sub’d was for the humvee build. I’m not really interested in watching new cell phones being destroyed out of box. The bunker build is a bonus too. But honestly i have yet to find time to watch that yet. Soon.
On the internet 😅
It looks awesome with the new cover! You should put the Humvee in a drag race against the Cybertruck and the Rivian
Against the "new" Hummer. The others are no competition.
i think the not a wheelchair would be a worthy competitor
How did u comment 11 hours before this video 😂
@@Er2ru hahaha he posted earlier for members. I've just joined it só worth it. I enjoy following his projects
Love the transparency with these build videos, not just on what it costs but how much we the viewers contributed.
Absolutely love this guy and whatever he does ! Been following the EV project since day one and boy I waited for every single video to go live. love this entire process, keep up the good work man lots of support. ❤💥
Been missing the build videos, excited to see that you`re still working on this!
the info he provided and the total engineering of a vehicle is mind blowing
The dedication and hard work put into this project is truly inspiring. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for the HUMVEE!
How do you have so many subs?! WTF I want that too. I need to earn 100K like Jerryrig!!
@@iDoobyLive Pretty sure they bought a youtube account that already had a ton of subs, (or maybe botted some of them?) then they deleted all the videos and channel name, and now are doing some commercial or data collection thing for profit :) They comment on like every video everywhere just to farm engagement.
Yay I love the internet
Paint job and interior gotta be next. I say he should go with black or gray paint. Black and gray interior
nawman this guy gets top comment with 36 likes wtf is this
@@A_Solitary_Crouton It used to be a chinese tech channel that spewed out bunch of low effort gadget related shorts, they then most likely sold it for $,$$$ to this guy who now uses it to spam comments in a bunch youtubers comment sections with an automated system in order to farm subs and create hype around his channel. This has been done by countless other fake yt channels so it isnt something new either.
I absolutely LOVED this series. It is fabulous! Zack, thank you so much for the hours of entertainment following the whisper project. You definitely one of my favorite UA-camrs. THANK YOU! ❤
One of the best things about this project has been the journey from start to finish, then the issues that propped up, and more.
More so, the mistakes you faced and rectified later on will help so many who have a reference now for such a project as well.
Manual labour aside, that's not such a bad bill, definitely worthy of the project!
Don't forget that Tesla has the advantage of scale of economics compared to Zach,so the cyber truck should be much cheaper
It's not like it cost him any money personally.
no, Tesla still has to pay employees, research and a whole Lot more!@@jasonrichardson1999
If this is done under his YT business LLC, I believe all the costs would be an expense of the business thereby reducing his income taxes.
So awesome...and my OG project whisper shirt is getting old. Happy it is the right time for a new one!!
Way to go! It has been awesome to watch you build this! I look forward to the completion!
That is still the coolest build out there when it comes to e conversions. Love it!
Your Humvee looks amazing with that slant top. Lots of work went into this.
Once you get the paint job and interior done, it will be amazing. I just hope that you continue with more electric vehicle conversions in the future.
i think your EV will have a timeless design and will always be relevant and amazing. Cant wait for the final look on the road!
It was a fun journey to see this come to life. I hope we get to see more of it roaming around since like 90% of the driving footage is it coming in and out of your garage.
People who make affordable DIY builds do a lot of cost savings left and right, instead of using CNC services they use angle grinder and a lot of filing, instead of buying almost top of the line lithium cells from tesla they use batteries from nissan leaf, instead of brand new motor and inverter they buy 5th hand used stuff, instead of using a massive military truck they build vw golf or some audi.
True, though your time is also a factor. If there’s a part that takes you six weeks to fabricate yourself vs six days to get machined, it may be worth it in your time and keeping project momentum to pay more to get the part faster.
I dunno if LEAF batteries have the power density to handle driving such a heavy monster of a truck. They aren't exactly made for performance like Tesla batteries are.
It wasn't meant to be affordable
It's a see if it can be done type thing..
Bravo Jerry
Loved every minute of it..
At what point did Jerry ever claim he was trying to go for 'affordable'?
@@coredumperror I don't know either but often when you are gunning for range then you end up with more than enough ampacity even if you used some low performance cells.
My god, definitely my favorite series from you, that cherry on top pf the cake that is the body was awesome. Thank you for providing with such great content
The Whisper Project is amazing and also gripping!!
Still remember when you used to post weekly, that really was a great experience.
Thank you Jerry bhai!!
Can't wait to see it painted!
The slant back looks incredible!! What a good move!
Love watching this entire series mate!!!! thank you for sharing it!!!! cheers.
HOLY CRAP!!…that thing looks amazing now!!! So fun to watch this project. Keep going with it. Can’t wait to see what you do next!!! 👍👍
I truly can't believe how much they charge for batteries. It's absolutely nuts.
I've bought individual lithium ion cells, so I'm not surprised at all that thousands of them are very expensive
That's why they aren't the future. EV's are often scrapped as un-econimical to repair when the only thing they need is a new battery. They're also terrible for the environment. Screw electric cars.
@@RMF76you don't forsee economies of scale or new battery types? Lol, insanely closed mind thinking. You sound like horse carriage manufacturers when the first cars came out. Where are you going to fuel that thing? What happens when it breaks down?
It's a new technology. This is how every new technology starts.
And note: have you ever blown the engine in your car? What's the dealer quote on that replacement?
well yeah there's a crap ton of them
25k for a motor seems way more overpriced to me.
Next up: convert the cybertruck to run on gas
Stoked to have a video of the whisper project after so long...
I know u won't read my comment but currently I'm also working on a project.....so I did relate to the line saying the time u enjoyed wasting is not wasted....I feel it every time I complete a step and overcome a technical setback while working....All the best to all the amazing handy men working on their projects and set on a way of making better tomorrows and more importantly, enjoying and learning through the process.....Peace 🙌
Mate this has been a great series of videos and I'm glad you got reimbursed plus some from youtube. Can't wait for your next exciting adventure!
Way cooler than a Cybertruck! I will miss the open door/open back look😆
its also not literally the ugliest vehicle designed by man. how anyone actually spends money on that thing is beyond me, even if it were a legitimate perpetual motion vehicle, never needed to charge, never had a failure in any system, and did your taxes for you, i still couldnt get over how its just sooo fucking ugly.
@@StretchDattass I have no idea whether you're talking about the Hummer or the CyberTruck tbh :D.
@ZesPak the cyber "truck" is literally the ugliest vehicle designed by man, it somehow looks WORSE in person than in pictures.
@@StretchDattass😂😂😂😂 I could have sworn you were going on about the humvee! 😂I like your use of words!!! And I also think that cybertruck is not a mass market thing just like the humvee isn’t as well. Let’s be honest
@Timeculture the difference is the humvee was made for military use, the cybertruck, a mass market product sold by a mass market company, just looks like utter dog shit drawn by a 2 year old.
I'm an electrical engineer and I've been wanting to build myself an EV daily driver for so long! You have inspired me so much and I hope to do something like this some day!
Just buy one buddy
@@brandonchutt312 Hell nah. Even if I ever wanted an EV, I don't want a car that does what it wants without my permission. Plus, it's way more fun designing and building a car than just buying one. Any project car is a sump for money but who cares? We don't. Buddy.
It looks great! Superb work done, Z!
Well done! Super fun to watch this project progress! I think what you spent is very reasonable for what you created
After a good paint job and interior work, whisper would be truly one of one vehicle
We are not getting enough videos of the Humvee oflate
Amazing! Looks really amazing!! Congratulations on a project well done
It looks awesome, I've been watching you build it the last 2 years, but what's amazing to me is , you said by making the videos you payed for it all. Good job love your videos
That was a lot less than I was expecting. Happy to see you’re still working on it and can’t wait till it’s complete!
Its a one off project by a famous youtuber with sponsors and help, hence cheaper.
@@hiteshadhikari I've watched all of his videos on this project, and IIRC none of the stuff he put into it was sponsored. The help part yeah obviously he had other people helping him, but you can do that with friends on a project car too. Also one-off projects cost more because there's no economy of scale to take advantage of.
The project was free for him thanks to the videos, but the final cost he gave doesn't include any sort of discounts or sponsorships AFAIK.
@@clanginator brother, a lot of things they get are not purchased, from tools to parts to specialised manufacturing
Its just not said sponsorship etc to avoid fees but this is basically free promotion to brand and people
100k seems quite a reasonable number for the amount of work that went into it. Great video series to watch!
$100k is just for parts not his time on research or building/ assembly.
The labor cost would probably double the 100k figure... custom one-off projects are expensive.
@@edo4713he touched base on just that. He is building it for himself, he can't factor in his time on it.
As he said, the time spent is invaluable. Knowledge is priceless!
@@Steamrick Labor is a moot point. The price is simply how much it was for him. There is no one general price for basically any of it. Prices will differ drastically from person to person, not only because of preference but because of time!
There is quite a bit more available now overall than when he did his build (at least when he purchased the major components). The used market is increasing more and more each day as well as more and more options for controllers, BMS's and chargers and more and more manufacturers and the aftermarket is increasing at a fast rate! Not to mention more knowledge is available as well!
There is a reason the title of the video says "my", he did say DIY Humvee prior which is much more fitting because if you're having a shop build it then it's not a DIY!
@@edo4713he touched on it in the video. His time isn't a factor. For one, it's for himself! Two, it's what he wanted to do and he enjoys doing it. Three, learning is priceless!
So sick, I love how that turned out!!!!
That smile at 5:18 is priceless when the piece of the Humvee puzzle fit correctly 😁👌🏽
I have been watching this series since the very beginning and I enjoyed every second of it, although my question is how will you make it wheelchair accessible, this has been on my mind from the very begging, and I actually came up with a couple of ideas.
Bro called me poor in 1,947 languages
More like 100k and change
It's crazy how Jerry became one of my most excited to watch channels over the years. Freaking beast 💪🏽
Loved this series
That looks so good!!! Id take that over the cybertruck all day. Curious though what you spent in tools for this build? Some of those crimpers you were using arent cheap. I get that you can use them on other things so they dont really belong in the cost of build.
Lol. Ok
nsh - i'll take the cybertruck lol
@@The_Reductionist Ok Elon. Go home.
Literally the most inefficient way to travel
I'll love this project. Thanks, Jerry
Thank you giving me joy today sir.
It looks really good. Good job, Jerry.
The electrified hum-V is worth more than any Cybertruck. It's a 1 of 1 and it looks amazing.
When is S24 durability test coming out
Loved the whole series! Thanks.
Awesome project. But this video shows that doing this myself is a pipe dream. 😂
Still so much cooler than a cyber truck in my opinion. Great job Zach!
An electric military Humvee and an underground bunker, what does Zack know that we don’t? 😅 Do you have any plans to dampen the high pitch noise or does it fade into the background after a while? 😅

This conversion process was and is indeed an enjoyable ride for me and most probably for all of your viewers and subscribers. Do continue with the project and if possible keep the vehicle with you as long as possible. Good luck and good wishes to your future projects from Kolkata, India.
This thing looks absolutely awesome and is definitely one of the coolest projects I've ever seen. The slant back was a fantastic choice it really brought it all together and made it that much more awesome which didn't seem possible. Love your videos keep doing you!
Every single one of your videos amazes me and what you do with the wheelchairs it's amazing ,keep it up Zack you are unique , good luck.
