I didn't see any ginger, I was waiting for something neat like minced crystallized ginger. Still, I learn so much from you Mr. Albouze I can wait. PS I know allspice is a stand-in for ginger but I like the heat of ginger, I've seen recipes that use allspice but they added black pepper for a small amount of heat.

WOW! If this your 1st ever Gingerbread House then I am in awe, monsieur. Or perhaps you mean this is your 1st attempt at creating this particular magnificent design? The neat trick to part baking the dough then scribing on the detail prior to completing the baking is, for me, simply genius. If I start practicing recreating this triumph in gingerbread now then I may have perfected it by Xmas 2020.
