Gorgeous! If you had fresh clay, I bet leaving the bits out on paper for a few hours or overnight would harden it up a bit. I don't think I would put as much brown and green in there, but would do the black paint. Well done.
Absolutely brilliant and gorgeous! Also I just realized I've been buffing without the wax. 😅 Thank you so much! I've been watching your videos from the beginning of my polymer clay days and you really really helped me! ♡
Wowza! That's amazing. I've done faux turquoise before, but never added the alcohol ink. It definitely takes it to the next level. Thanks for sharing your process.
I know this technique because It’s used frequently in my house as it replicates the technique of Cooking with Shake N Bake... a Coating put into a bag and shaken to coat the pieces of chicken or pork chops to coat it in flavor
❤So very pretty. I just don't understand why you had to cover the turquoise in black paint just to sand it off.🤷♀️ It turned out lovely, so I'm happy you did. I just don't get that step.😊
The paint is what creates the veins. What you can do, instead of having to do all the sanding, is press all the little bits together into a square log and takes slices from it. Press those together into a veneer and cover the bangle. The only reason I didn't do that on this tutorial was because that technique tends to create visible seems in the pattern.
Wow Samantha! I have been watching your tutorials since you started, this is by far the most amazing one. I've watched other faux turquoise tutorials, this by far is the closest one to the real thing. Thank you so much for sharing. The process may be time consuming but well worth the results!.
Wonderful, wonderful tutorial, how did I miss this one? I was hoping you tried this bracelet on. What size hand/wrist will it fit? Thanks again as always.
Excellent! Thanks for sharing this! The bracelet is perfect, great job! Love the Cabachons (I hope that's how it's spelled) too! I tried to make a cabachon from your cab turquoise tutorial...semi fail, lol! But still trying! Thanks again, I really enjoy ALL your videos, wonderful! 👏👏👏👏👏 Pam 😀
WOW! how gorgeous is that! Samantha, I wanted to make small pieces but when I checked my alcohol ink colors the nearest I had were Lettuce and Espresso in Ranger and Rainforest Green in Pinata. Do you think I can get the same effect? Thanks
Thank you for this Samantha! It is beautiful! I'm thinking about putting softer clay into the refrigerator for a while and see if that would make it easier to chop up. Also, do you think that it would be ok to skip the sanding, but wipe it good with alcohol first and get it as smooth as possible, using liquid clear clay for any cracks, bake it and then just add some Varathane or resin for shine? Also, it sounds heavy when you set it down, does it feel heavy? It seems like a lot of clay in this project. Thanks again for your help!
For this project sanding is necessary as it will help shape out the piece and gives it the sort of shine that a faux stone has. Also It is a bit heavy, but not too much. You could use scrap as the black base.
@@JessamaTutorials I was thinking the same as Kimberly. Using the scrap is a great idea, thanks for bringing that up. Is there anything else you could use instead of clay as the filler strips?
This was amazing! What a reveal! What kind of bird do I hear in the background? I had to rewind to be sure & make sure it wasn't one of my 3 lol. For fun i'm gonna guess an African Grey. Ps I'm brand new to the channel so i'm not familiar. brand new to polymer clay too. I'm making drill pens for diamond painting, very fun!
My thought was what if you had a ton of scrap clay and use the same technique you could get some really cool effects. Also as a thought take some gold freckled through would make even more realistic. Maybe add a little piece into the crumbles before the ink.
@@JessamaTutorials Thank you, Samantha. Keep up the good work. I watch all your videos and learn something new from each one. You are wonderful for sharing your talent and knowledge with all of us. JW
Hi Samantha, I love turquoise and the bangle is so beautiful. I have some queries. Can we use only Alcohol Ink or only Acrylic Paint? Can we apply liquid clay on the first baked black template clay before applying the shaped clay? Since the cabochons are small pieces of clay joined together without being conditioned, won't they be brittle afterwards? Thanks a lot in advance.
You can use alcohol ink, acrylic paint or both if you want. Test the paint with the ink though as it might react and go sticky. This should happen with in minutes. Yes. You can use liquid clay. The cabochons were pressed together with a lot of force, binding the clay together. Also I tend to use cabochons on a clay or metal backing or bezel so they don't need to be extra strong. If you are worried you can add a little liquid clay to the pieces, press into the mold and then bake.
Samantha, that’s beautiful and definitely a lot of work. I was wondering, if you didn’t have hard clay could you chop up fresh clay and bake it for a bit to harden it? I am thinking this bangle bracelet would be beautiful in a topaz, emerald or ruby clay too!
Hi, Samantha! I really enjoy your videos. I was wondering, is the liquid clay necessary if your outermost layer is made from rose canes and doesn't involve paint? Thank you!
Really beautiful, the best "turquoise" I've been able to find on UA-cam. TY for your time and trouble.
The turquoise strip before putting it on the bangle actually looks pretty.
Just gorgeous!!! By far, the best faux turquoise technique I've seen. I would love to see faux laborite 😍
Good way to use old clay! Love it... this is also a tutorial on how to make large rubber tires for big machines lol
Wow!!! Beautiful
How to clean the piece to remove excess paint? , beautiful, beautiful, 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Beautiful i learn a lot today ..wanted to learn to make bracelets..
Stunning ❤

What an amazing tutorial. Fabulous piece. I would like to see bracelet on. Visual of how it will fit.
Incredible!!! You’re so talented!
They're beautiful I luv them thank u for sharing👍💖
I like doing this with gold mica powders acrylic paint and liquid clay. It gives really cool gold veins.
You make these projects look so easy!
This came out very nice.
Gorgeous ❣️❣️❣️ Thank you Samantha 👏💗👏💗👏💗👏💗
Very good tutorial. Thanks. I’ll give this a try.

Absolutely beautiful and thank you for sorting out the squeak 😊❤️
FYI.... Speaking of receiving old clay, I use the Kato clay Conditioner. The pasta machine makes quick work of the conditioning process.

I think this is amazing but how do you go about sizing it 🤔
Amazing!
Great instructions one question how long did you say you baked the bracelet after adding the top was it 4hours? Love your work
I baked for about two hours total.

Hi.This so beautiful.I have a question.
Can I use acrylic paint instead of ink?
Yes. You can use paint instead.
I got a kit Amazon and it’s Soft ! Sticky ! Just to much . But my Turquoise turquoise turned out , thank you for sharing ! 💕
If you don't condition the clay, will it cure properly?
Yes. It will. :D

I am thinking this bangle bracelet would be beautiful in a topaz, emerald or ruby clay too!
You can use fresh clay, the shapes just won't look quite the same. Don't bake them though.
Along the same line, what about leaching the clay? Would that help, or would it just be a waste of time?
Really gorgeous!🖤
Why dont u use a foil core ?
Hi. The buffing you are using in the dremel, do you sell it? I have some that don't give that shine that you get.
Yes. I sell it right here. www.etsy.com/au/listing/633937925/rotary-tool-buffing-wheel?ref=shop_home_active_2&frs=1
thank you! this is stunning! what do you use to attach the buffing head onto? Thanks :)
I use a 3000 dremel tool. It comes with an attachment that you can plug the buffing wheel in to.
