The FA50 is heavier and consumes more fuel. The afterburner makes it better at the interceptor role but leads to higher maintenance costs. The M346 FA is "only" transonic, but has two engines (so it has better reliability) and is smaller and lighter, so it consumes less fuel. For ground attack missions (COIN and CAS) the afterburner is useless and the M346 is compatible with a greater number of weapons. They are both excellent "light combat fighters", but have different operational contexts
Half the price and half technology. Italy After Russia left the joint venture developed a totally different avionics and battle management systems, plus sensors and countermeasures. FA can do training, air to air, air to ground, air to Sea missions just setting the proper configuration. Also composite materials and low visibility measures are unknown to Russians. Many other countries are considering 346FA. At the price of one Gripen you buy three of this young boys
Che meraviglia fantastico
Najbolji avion u light klasi. Idealan avion za našu konfiguraciju zapanjujućim manevarskih sposobnosti. ⚖️
Nigeria ordered 24 unit to replace its alpha jets fleet.
I'm wondering why they haven't been delivered yet or if they've been but are being kept on the low
@@solocom12 probably haven't paid for them.. They ordered jaguars years ago and they weren't paid for either
That's a Good war plain to have. Good for Nigeria.
@@Kickback-dm7zt thats a lie. jaguars were paid for
@@solocom12 They have to build them, which takes time.
The FA50 is more than enough for the Philippines. More cost effective and maintenance are easier

Can you say Air Maki instead of Machi Thanks
Italians do it better. ❤
But not our politics 😊
Non ce la facciamo proprio a non fare commenti a czzz vero?
The Russians make an almost identical version at half the price.
If I’m not mistaken , its development was a joint venture between the two.

much better fighter than indian tejas flying junk
Indians should be respected for even trying. Not every nation tries making own jets

2 years and none in operation. 😂
Not exactly.
@@silusiano exactly 0. this is about the armed version and nobody operates it as none have been delivered yet.
@@vipecrx it's not exactly a different aircraft from the standard m-346.
@@silusiano the video is specifically about the fa. So no, it is not an operational aircraft anywhere in the world.
@vipecrx that's the meaning of "not exactly".
