San Fran is probably the one major city I haven't been, since IRL trucking you then to bypass it on I5 unless you have a load that delivers in San Fran
No current GPU can render so much garbage mate. Maybe 5090 can get a stable 30 FPS... but I doubt it. Lets see, maybe we all witness how dirty SF really is.

I think it's neat that soft particle effects are being added. Perhaps modders could use the system to create exhaust smoke particles for older trucks
I hope they make them look better. The dirt particles just go through stuff like mudflaps and parts, and it's so small. Like the dust on dirt roads should be way more. Not thicker, just bigger. Driving on dirt roads can make dust clouds.
And they should make the truck dirty that would be very nice

@@jaylonmoore2497it would indeed but I think that may be a condition of the agreenents they have with the manufacturers - same reason physical damage isn't modelled in-game...

they still need rain puddles to make the rain more realistic.

In my opinion i don't like the new UI rework because it lacks that shading to buttons, it's just flat, yea it's modern but i prefer the old one
Flat and square is a good modern design language. All that bubble stuff is so early 2000's when Windows XP was still a thing.

Only other things I'd like to see in terms of additions to menus is a display of what your fuel economy was at the end of a trip and what the weight of the truck is in the garage. That way, you can play around with trying to spec a lighter truck to get a bigger payload for bulk or tanker loads.
Also, payload capacity and legality of the trailers in various states/countries. Maybe amount of damages and fines accumulated during the trip.
@@dbclass4075oh gosh I wouldn’t want to know fines accumulated 😅! Them speeding and red light camera fines are no joke! Also the legality of trailers would be great to know to take in account if the load is worth it.
We want a working walkie-talkie We need the rain sensor to say something if it's going to snow or rain or stop raining , listen to voices & weather forecast closed roads & accidents & entering a different speed limit section also driving in and out of tolls weight stations truck stops check points & "incoming Emergency vehicles" on the walkie-talkie, military cargo & aslo A DLC of Mexico
@@Mr.ElPelonLeoos Speaking of emergency vehicles, they can be a variation of Special Transport: being escorted by police. This time, the main goal is to drive fast. Even tighter deadline than urgent delivery.

Yes, or at least put different sounds for every engine, hearing the same sound on every engine is a bit unrealistic

Meh, not really. New game engine is defenetly a big improvement, but I still expected them to add a few more little things.
@@bxndxlx4150 they have said that 1.50 only would bring minor changes to the rendering. 1.51 and onward is supposed to get more improvement.
@@bxndxlx4150 what are you talking about "new game engine" there is no new game engine for ATS/ETS2 it's still using the same game engine

@@ICREFAN_OFFICIAL no they didn't, ETS2 and ATS has always been using their own Prism3D Engine, I think you're confusing when they went from DX9 to DX11 for game engine (DX is a graphics API, not a game engine).

I am incredibly happy to see TAA being added. The visual instability in this game has always bothered me ans that'll make a huge difference in eliminating that

I find that on wheel the lane assist isn't aggressive enough
5 years ago these graphics were like a dream! I once used a lot of mods for better graphics and realism, but with each update I removed many of them. Now all I use is truck mode!

It would be cool if SCS added a feature in which you could get your truck and trailer dirty and need to go to a car wash to clean them.

As someone who lives in Fresno, its nice to see an accurate representation. Granted I'm on the Southeast side but it's awesome! CenCal definitely getting the recognition it deserves.
Being able to drive the whole length of I-95 is still years and years away, but I hope it'll happen some day. The map simply being expanded all the way eastward at least shows there's a possibility. As a bostonian, I'm looking forward to it!

id say the only inaccuracy in the new cali rework is that lack of unbearable traffic throughout the bay area

Love it all. Rarely does a game convince me to stop and admire the view. In this case- views! The fact that it gets better in 1.50 is trully amazing! As we ge closer to the final states, I'm hoping more of a rework includes expanding other cities and stretching out the states increasing the sizes of all the cities! I even got my 12 yr old daughter playing. She has gotten better not slamming into everything. When she told me, I just slammed into the back of another trailer lol. The after effects were wonderful even though I caused thousands of dollars in repairs. Hey, the owner covered the expenses :)
They should do a reamp. Upgraded graphics, physics, and more. (or have the option).
Make weather a huge factor, rain, snow, wind.
I can't wait to see dirt texturing for trucks and trailers I wanna see the work these vehicles are putting in and then have to go wash it off after a long drive

American Truck Simulator is so much fun to play if you like truck especially with Mod community making the game even more enjoyable, i wanna give a big thanks to Slav Jerry, Zeemods & so much other cool modders out there, thank you guys so much, online Convoy is always so much fun😊

Looking at this new interface it gives me console interface vibes honestly. Looks like something I would see on a console game but still love it.

Ok they got brake squeals, now its time to bring our dynamic exhaust particals based on engine load/age.
I like the clean, minimalist look they went with, but they removed the colours completely, so it looks a bit too monotone. The rest of the update is awesome

I'm just bummed that scs left out the Sutro tower, growing up as a kid in the 70s in San Francisco I watched them build that tower from the ground up. Google Sutro tower and look.

I dont think having PSI is a hint of us being able to tend to or adjust tire pressure.
The same way have we have F° or C° and it doesnt matter because coolant circulation is never an issue in the game.
Nor effects to the driver. Apparently we are immune to desert heatstroke, nor Winterland's hypothermia.

The lane departure warning being inconsistent is super accurate. Unfortunately lol. Also, how's the performance? That was the whole thing for me. They completely overhauled the rendering system, but it looks to still work on the same principle, with the image scaling options etc. and I'm just hoping the performance is better. Back in like 2018, I could run the game absolutely maxxed no problem. Now, to get the same quality out of the game, I have to sacrifice framerate. I was hoping they had improved on that. I'm aware that the game looks better than it did, but the quality you get doesn't match the performance of the game. Well, at least it didn't. Which is why I'm curious. If it's better I'm ready to throw all my mods out rn and update. If not, I'll wait for updates.
I think that you are likely going to be looking at a hardware update if you don't want to lose frames. There is only so much that optimization can paper over before you simply need more power to reach a given level of performance.
@@Hybris51129 This is true, but my issue with ATS has always been that the performance doesn't match what you're actually getting. I can run much newer, better looking games at high framerates, but with ATS, I'm forced to drop the settings significantly. For the quality of the visuals you're getting, it seems like the performance should be better. I can run for example, BeamNG and run max texture settings. And in Assetto Corsa I can run graphics mods and it performs great, even with a ton of AI traffic etc. I can also run Halo Infinite, SWBFII, Back for Blood, modded Skyrim, etc. without issues. The only thing I'm struggling to run and have look even semi decent is ATS.
@@Hybris51129 there's literally nothing that this game is doing to even strain most systems that run this game.
the issue here is how the game engine largely uses a single core for just about everything, the rendering side of the game is already multi core when they updated from DX 9 to DX 11 a while ago, the only thing that's holding the game back in the game engine itself.
Yes there's only so much optimization you can do, but fortunately SCS is nowhere near that point.

One of the main reasons why I actually stopped playing 1.49 was because I kept getting locked into similar routes from the same places time and again. I really wish there was an option for real job randomization that isn't locked by preferred job length.
you can always pin a route marker and change it so you dont drive the same routes but i get what you mean
You can try adding filters. As of 1.49:
• Sort: Right side, just above the topmost delivery. Try ↓ Cargo Weight.
• Trailer and cargo type: Upper left corner.
• Truck Make (quick job only): Upper left corner.
If you want to be really random, mayve just drive to a random depot?
In gamplay settings, you can set the navigation system to prefer secondary routes.
Another option: pick a delivery to a city or town that hasn't been discovered yet.
The only thing I hate about the updates is that they brake mods, so I must wait every time for some mods to update, so I can return to mu perfect ATS/ETS2 setup.

LOL! Mods actually make this game amazing and highly immersive. Driving with default suspension, it is like driving a brick. Same with physics. Default sounds? Don't let me started on that lol. Check Zeemods sounds, it's like driving a real freaking truck. If you are not turned on by stuff like that, and overall immersion, you are missing a lot. It's literally realism vs arcade, that's how huge the difference is. For me, more real = more fun. @@OZGaming-hm5sd

Wonder if they are going to add a bunch of human fecal matter along all the roads in san fancisco. Also a ton of cars with stolen wheels and smashed windows. Homeless encampments spread out all over too would really add to the realism.
