We usually mix the tomato paste/puree into the meat (kind of like a bolognese sauce) and add everything into the eggplant together rather than seperately, but this does look delicious still! I bet it tastes great! It's also not in the traditional recipe, but a bit of shredded mozzarella on top 10 minutes before taking it out of the oven makes it 10x better :)
Thanks canım! My sister also told me about mixing the tomato paste into the meat 🤦🏻♀️ not sure how I didn’t think of that haha, I was so fixated on making the sauce at the end I got sidetracked, also it did taste amazing but definitely needed to be soaked in the tomato paste 🤍☺️

That’s a good question… I don’t think anything else could possibly work with this recipe, I’ll definitely keep in mind and maybe ask my mother in law also! 🤍
