The last time DMC3 was shown at GDQx 2019, Waifu did a great job at showcasing Dante's Normal route. Between then and now, Waifu has ran this game a lot. He has the records for almost all of the Vergil categories, and still has a top 3 time for Dante's Normal category. Really cool to see how far he has come with this one, and I'm very proud of him.
Vergil have soooo much DPS, just imagine with the costume that gives infinite devil trigger. There is probably a category using the costume too, it would be nice to see how you can destroy the game with it.

This game is so good... favorite game in the DMC / Bayonetta lineage. It's great for an action junkie.
When vergil is so motivated speedrun strats specifically avoid using DT during most fights because his damage output is too high

It doesn't really which one is better. DMC 1, 3, 4, and 5 each have their own highs and lows, and they're each fun to play, in my opinion.
