2:08 Istvantelki fomuhely. This is the place where class 424, 375-376, 301, 303, 275, and 377 come from in the 1910 to 1946 I think.Oh, and there was also passenger and freight cars from before the First World War and after 3 years! They want to be restored, but we haven't got enough money to restore some of them.
It's called "Landler shed" NOT "Red star graveyard". The shed is part of the 'Istvántelk" (steam) workshop, and all the stored wagons and locos are property of the Transportation Museum. Sadly the museum doesn't even have the founds to maintain the trains on display, or the ones that supposed to be operational.
Point of interest, the EU07 at 2:43 was almost identical to the British Rail class AC 83 as the Polish railways had bought the rights to produce the BR 83 itself, the British version lasted until about 1990 but the Polish variants worked a lot harder and with a harsher track quality survived quite a bit further than the BR ones, the engines younger brothers class 86 and 87 are still in service today on British lines for the 86, the 87 was sold to Eastern Europe where they performed handsomely and some say BR regretted losing them as they were a) more powerful and cheaper to run than the 86 b) were an express engine capable of continued 110mph plus all day and night where the class 90 that was also based on the same original engines couldn't quite match the same power and top speed.
The Harpur Hill UK one is not a train graveyard it is a working satety test center and these former tube trains are used for safety tests and also exploded to test the effects of explosions in tunnels
The tube train in the uk is at some military base. It was put there for testing for terrorist attacks and to see what would happen if a bomb went off inside a train in in a tunnel. You can see some of the window frames are pushed out from explosions.
*Of all these railyards, only Havana State seems at all active.* Looks as though worn-out steam locomotives are being dismantled, just not very rapidly - guess the operator's hard on cash to hire the kind of labor that can break up boilers and frames safely.
Yeah right. They don't have the funding. Get real! It cost big bucks to just haul them let alone restoration. I know as I work for a major rail museum. Guess people think we can just pull money out of a hat.
Actually, there are a minimum of 3 major rail museums that would be more than happy to recover these preserved relics.... One in Florida paid over 1.3 million just for a steam engine that was buried in earlyish 1900's. Was found by Mosaic while digging/mining for phosphate for fertilizers about 2016 ish..... if well preserved, there's no telling the length a collector will go to acquire such great examples of railways past...
Why did you bait us with a photo of a wrecked Union Pacific locomotive and say that it was abandoned when you knew that this wasn't true? Then you show us garbage footage that has been featured elsewhere many times. I unclicked my subscription to your bait and switch scam. Adios.
Fake thumbsnails earn down votes...... With all the great images you "borrowed" why not use any of them? Plus abandoned these are not, unoccupied and unused at the time yes but not fully abandoned. Cool training/testing grounds would work as many accurate and equally fascinating uses. As a "train lover" you should know this. Begging to subscribe and like with annoying louder music? Is the new obnoxious "pop up" and "pop under" windows advertisements of this generation... "Two thumbs down gladly would I give more, if that I possessed more thumbs."-Bill & Ted's Adventure.
The british "underground" vehicles seem to be a former demonstrator. Maybe for rescue staff training. It could still be used for that. The shown German steam locomotives are all privately owned by a collector. I don't know what his plan is though. Maybe he sees it as a form of art. You can see it on Google Maps www.google.de/maps/@51.5848453,13.2715535,178m/data=!3m1!1e3?dcr=0 The tracks next to the rusty steam locomotives are fenced off. These are typical German car export trains to Europe or the North Sea ports.
Probably not but them, as railroads more than likely donate if not sell them to another road. most railroads will give if museums pay for the movement to their location. that way RR get a tax credit
the photo of the U.P. crash over the water crossing happened Fort Riley Kansas I was one of the EMERGENCY people there shortly after the crash I think it was in 2007 when we had a lot of rain that year
Many of those in Cuba were made in America and are of varying narrow gauges. Most were in operation until a few years ago. Whenever relations between USA and Cuba are "normalized, some will be repatriated, I bet. Especially the really small ones.

Looks like you had a lot of leftover space on this post. Speaking of which:. Good thing Europe has 000's of spare sq km for all these wasted resources. Good job.

They usally are to get views
More information on the trains like the years of operation or the age of the trains would be cool

Which yard stores the Hogwart's Express ?
Is that a joke lmfao. It's in the Harry Potter studios in Leavesden
the tube train is a training facilty, brandenburg is open to the public once a year, cuba is a historic railway the others are just storage facilitys.
Anthony Smith what
nice sound man where did you find all those abandoned trains?
I am fascinated to see such abandoned and wrecked trains
*Of all these railyards, only Havana State seems at all active.* Looks as though worn-out steam locomotives are being dismantled, just not very rapidly - guess the operator's hard on cash to hire the kind of labor that can break up boilers and frames safely.
Those beautiful steam locomotives!
327 is back, Cracov is not train graveyard, also movie is made in 2017, that loco was painted in different colors in 2015...
Some railway museums in the U.S. would buy those units to have for static displays.
That's a good Idea

Slap you Silly stfu
Fun fact: most abandoned stream trains will still operate with a bit of oil water and fuel!
it is a shame that all of those beautiful trains are left to just rot away instead of being kept in a museum.
beautiful video bravo
im not sure the first lot were in the uk , one of them had a pane of glass left
seems like they could use the scrap metal or would the cost to cutup the trains would be cheaper to buy raw metal
In the thumbnail the left locomotive is an emd sd70ace the right is a ge ac4400cw.

2:35 That is an abandoned train junction
How come all these are left to rot, yet theft of copper and other materials is so commonplace.
The music is depressing as hell

Seeing the steam engines in these pictures break my heart more than the diesels.
The picture in 2:02 faintly reminds me of a BR Standard 9F.

Thinking of the restoration opportunities here and all the tons of recycle just rusting away.
Ridiculous.

When I Saw The Thumbnail, My Eyes Busted Into Tears, I'm Serious, I Really Love Freight Trains 😭😭😭😭😭
Why will u not fix them for more trains?????
Well… this is not cemetery in Kraków. It's typical Polish siding with 80% of this locomotives, coaches and EMUs working in normal operations.

Meth heads in Portland would have those trains stripped, cut up and scrapped inside of 2 months.
Don't care if there abandoned, WHY do kids have to destroy them.
Gary Plastek why not
Today's kids are the offspring of millennials, anymore questions?
