Team Lebron for me. Although I believe it’s a very subjective debate up to this point and it depends on your point of view, it is a fact that Lebron has overachieved given the circumstances handed to him. The thing is Jordan won when he was on the super team of his era. Of course MJ made the difference, but we have to take into account that Pippen was probably the best SF at his era and arguably top 3 all time. Not every star has had the luxury to play alongside such a great teammate. Rodman and Horace Grant were top tier defensive players. Add Kerr, Harper etc and the system of Phil Jackson and you can clearly see that Jordan was in the perfect system to win. Apart from that, he had little success in the playoffs. On the other hand,Lebron was probably in this system for 2-3 seasons in his 20 year career. The Cavs wasted his prime, at his second period there the super team of the era were the warriors. In two playoff runs, Lebron and his Cavs were heavy underdogs and they managed to reach the finals only because Lebron carried them. I don’t think that any other star has had such a success being in inferior teams. Mj didn’t have to face a team like the 2017 GSW in the finals. Or couldn’t carry a team of nobodies against all odds. For this reason, I think Lebron’s legacy surpasses that of Jordan. Both are great. But MJ’s ultimate winning record shouldn’t be viewed as an individual accomplishment.
A super team? Pippen was drafted (bulls trade for) in '87 he doesn't become an all star until '90. Horace was drafted the same year by the bulls but doesn't become an All-Star until '94. Phil Jackson hired as an assistant coach in '87, Krause was just looking for an inside guy that was also appealing to Doug Collins. Phil's system is just Tex Winters triangle offense who was already on Doug Collins' staff. Jordan never conspired to join forces with known commodities and take his talents else where. Jordan never asked for a Phil or Pippen that's what was provided and he worked with them and became successful. I agree LeBron has faced the tougher finals opponents but FiveThirtyEight, they do statistical analysis known for their work on election models, wrote an article to determine which of the 2 faced tougher playoff opponents: it's Jordan. Majority of the advanced metrics decisively point to Jordan. Go to the about page for win-shares at basketball-reference dot com and see last sentence of 1st paragraph -> Jordan is the GOAT. Best career I think that has to go to LeBron i.e. stats and his success. But Jordan never had the best career that title up until recently always belonged to Kareem. Combination of dunks (that cradle dunk!!!), stats, advanced metrics, success, and eye test Q.E.D Jordan is the G.O.A.T.
I'm 40 years old. I watched MJ win his second three-peat when I was still in junior high. Watched LeBron develop in the the NBA and still watch him today, as he's been my favorite player in the NBA since MJ retired. My opinion? MJ is the goat. LeBron is second for me. I can care less what you kids under 40 think.
I stopped watching when you said no chokes. MJ fans are so ignorant. Is not even making it to the finals in the middle of your prime not considered a choke? I thought goats were supposed to stay on top of the mountain. 9 consecutive final appearances. Not to mention all the times MJ got swept in the first round. A goat doesn’t need to wait for his assistant, hiring gm, and coach to develop. Goats take Ilguaskas to the finals. 😂 And it don’t matter which team he’s on because he’s the common denominator. MJ’s team made a playoff run without him. Bron’s teams didn’t even make the playoffs when he left. Mind the game. 🤨
Thanks for your comment. It hurts you stopped watching as I would have loved you watched the whole video. But I respect your opinion and thanks for your contribution
And the goat doesn't score 8 points against a 5'10" point guard. The goat doesn't go out of the court with 5 minutes left in the game. The goat doesn't flop, travel, and cry to the refs. The goat doesn't make excuses when he loses. The goat doesn't jump teams to ring chase.
MJ didn't choke in the finals. And he only got swept in the 1st round twice, his 2nd and 3rd year. Unlike LeBron who didn't even make the playoffs in his 1st two years. And MJ made it to the mountain top in year 7 when the Bulls won their 1st CHIP and they stayed there every year Jordan played until 1998, his last year. In which time they won 6 championships in 8 years. Granted making it to the mountain top 9 consecutive years is impressive, but getting you a** knocked off the mountain 6 of those years makes it very unimpressive. Especially when you got swept 2 of those times and only won 1 game another time. Not to mention being the reason your team lost.😂😂😂😂 And you're right LeBron didn't wait for his gm to recruit, he left teams and ran and joined other all stars.
i ll put it this way. Jordan was slightly more dominant than Lebron ever was but Lebron wins the longevity argument very easily. So its probably Lebron. Jordan was 100 overall in his absolute peak but Lebron has been 98 for much longer than Jordan ever was.

Somehow LeBron is the goat yet he's shown you on multiple occasions how he wanted to be like Mike 😂 yea let that sink in
At this point, I legit just think it’s personal opinion. I’m team Jordan but don’t have a problem with people who side with Bron.

Every legend says MJ the nba hyped up LeBron and that’s not even a debate just facts
Is Oscar Robertson a legend? How about Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett? Jason Kidd? Isiah Thomas?
The one who can give his team high chance of winning - Michael Jordan.
Team Mj
MJ
MJ is the goat, second goes to Bill Russell, and then Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

Ridicolous ignorant comment on many levels
