Watching this show EVERY DAY AFTER SCHOOL is what gave me a foundation to answer 80% of ALL of my science test questions/homework assignments from 7th grade all the way through 12th grade... I MEAN it... and because they ran the episodes over and over throughout the years, there was constant memory re-enforcement...

Dude, I would remember running home from school just to watch this. I was born in '75, so I've seen this, electric company, school-house rock, sesame street (before Mr. cooper died), captain kagaroo, thundercats, Voltron, and many more.

Totally loved this show. OMG. Why don't they make shows and kids like this anymore. I get why not the clothes, but joking aside these were quality programs that everyone in the family enjoyed and could learn really great things. Thank God I was a part of the last generation that benfitted from great American television and educaton programs.

My god, I haven't heard that song since I was a little kid. I remember one episode where someone was running a lathe, and I made my dad show me how to run his right afterwards. That was the best show.

it's been 25 years and that song still gets me so fired up, they're like, " do you want know how to stand on your fingers?" and i'm like, "hell fuckin yeah i want to know how to stand on my fingers!!" as i shake my ass to that funky disco beat...

I was quite impressed with the opening of "3-2-1 Contact" from the 1979-1980 Era. Mark, Trinie, and Lisa were three of a kind from that era. The first person did well on the show. The latter two people did a brilliant job on the show. These two young ladies were absolute foxes in my book ... even I did not understand anything about young lady being known as a fox during the time. A Brilliant 6!!

EVERYTHING from 'back then' was memorable. to a greater degree these shows had depth that the programs today will never have. how many programs about cops, laywers, the snobishly wealthy can you watch?
furthermore, which one of those programs will you be talking about in your 70's?
i love this era, it will always have permanence in my life.

I was looking for a particular segment and found that so e clips are available as "3-2-1 Contact Classroom", but it is $25 per 15 minute episode- at least at the site I saw. The teacher's guide does clearly identify the scenes, especially for those of us who remember the show and might be looking for something particular.

Did anyone else want a bite of that red juicy apple shown in the opening like me??
How about that kitten?? Makes one want to rush out and buy a kitty cat.
How about that frog? How in the world did they film that frog catching a bug?
Or a better question is, where did all that various footage of everyday objects making contact, and people coming into contact with things come from?
