Man I use rush home from school to watch the bloodhound gang . This is when kid shows were great even adults could watch it and enjoy
One of the best things about youtube- resurrecting childhood memories from defunct shows I thought I'd never see again! Thanks for posting this
I just realized Ricardo is Rembrandt from The Warriors.
happymeltedcity Mind blown. That is him. WOW
Was watching The Warriors this morning and went to search for this, I loved this show when I was a kid. 321 Contact!!
wow, he died in 1986 at age 28 :(
Poor guy, he's my favorite actor so far.
I used to rush home to watch this. It was the best part of 3-2-1 Contact.
Lisa was the best part of 3-2-1 Contact 😊
I was gonna say pretty much the exact same thing. While doing the dishes earlier I was thinking about this show and then thought "but the only episode I remember is the one where that one kid makes a pinhole camera." And what do you know, it's the first one I click on, as well.
My favorite episode ever was the bad nephew trying to scare his aunt out of the house. With ghost ..a laugh on the tape recorder and a head on his model train to make it look like he's in his bedroom.
I always waited for Swan and Ajax to show up.
Haha very funny
I CAN DIG IT!!!!
If I missed the Bloodhound Gang after school I felt like the world was ending.
10 years ago, I lived three blocks south of that building shown in the first part of this clip. Watching all those CTW shows really made want to live in New York!
Most iconic line in early 1980s television... "Hey... what are you punks doing???" Also, that is some amazing detective work... they just happened to be on the same street where the car holding the stolen property mentioned on the radio was, and just happened to want to run over to the car when its trunk popped open. They were regular Sherlock Holmes' of their day. Nevertheless, I loved this segment when I watched the show too.
It's amazing how I completely forgot about this show and when I looked this up, I could still sing the theme song word for word. Wow I am old!!
Ahhh, yes, I remember this like it was yesterday. I was weened on this stuff. God, I wish it was yesterday.
when they opened the trunk after first hearing about the stolen mummy and found the body I was like wow that was a short episode
wow....first kid to make a flatscreen tv out of cardboard!!..lol.... loved this show
Oh-my-God! I haven't seen this in YEARS and I could still sing along with it haha! Not that the lyrics are very extensive... Thanks for posting! I love it!
Wow I remember most of those shows!! Just made me realize how much PBS I watched. Me and my sister also used to watch Dr. Who with our stepdad and it's spin off show K-9.
I remember being a kid watching this... totally grossed out about that mummy in the trunk!
1:15 - Classic "wah, wah wah!" moment.
These shows rocked, they made you think. Nowadays shows react without thinking.
I remember this episode very well. That was my only memory from THE BLOODHOUND GANG! I was about 4 or 5 when I saw this and I was trying to find out what object they used to see outside! Thanks for sharing! Thumbs up!
Of all the episodes to pick, it’s the one I totally remember. That pin-hole camera BLEW MY MIND.
Thanks for posting! I remember loving 321 Contact as a kid and remember it as if it were yesterday
20+ years later I see this! WOW! I am old! I was the age of the young kid when I watched this!
What a trip.
The theme song has always cracked me up!
born in '76 grew up on electric company, seseme and 3-2-1 contact , man I need a blunt after seeing this.
In addition to the regular part of Contact, The Bloodhound Gang was also educational---this is where I first heard the term "pinhole camera"!
That's why I opened it up too. I love the song & never forget the lyrics. lol
I haven't seen it probably since I was 11 or 12... now at 37..Wow that is a long time
I used to watch 3-2-1 contact & the bloodhound gang when I was a kid and I'm 44 now
This was my favourite part of the 3,2,1 contact show!
Cant wait to see all the BHG cases u can find!
I remember one about a ghost out in the yard and an old lady freaking out about it. It turned out to be her nephew.
i loved this show
I used to watch this on "321 Contact" back in the day....memories maaaaaan!!! lol
How in the world did this never become its own series?
Probably because producing those shows for a full half-hour would have been too expensive for PBS to green light. However, there was a half-hour PBS series in 1982 that was like the Bloodhound Gang in many respects, Powerhouse, but they could only produce one season of 16 episodes. You can find the episode on UA-cam.
Bloody amazing... the one episode that stuck in my brain cells - particularly the pinhole camera bit - and it's the first one I happen to find here. Thanks so much for posting.
Has anyone actually tried to make a pinhole camera after seeing this?
3-2-1 contact was my show!! specially the bloodhound gang. thank you for posting!!
Yay part 2: ua-cam.com/video/ggpqbiJHkfk/v-deo.html
"Warriors! Come out to pla-ay!"
I totally loved those pigtails... .the biggest I'd ever seen!
OMGGGG...im ova here lookin 4 every show i use 2 watch back in the day...i use 2 luv this show
The BHG was great...complete with cliffhangers it kept us wanting to tune in the next day to see what happened next.
the lady that plays Vicky has been in everything...she even pops up in commercials from time to time.
OMG I remember this so well.
I am right there with ya my friend. I grew up watching this too, and loving it.
You never hear radio news briefs like that in real life! My childhood would have been much more interesting.
wicked blast from the past THANK YOU!
The theme song gets me everytime...sing it! I always pictured a guy with a high pitched voice singing when I was a kid, but I later found out this was a woman singing.
It's times like this that I realize just how old I am and how silly the shows were. BUT I MISS IT! WAAAAAAAAH! :(
A must see tv prog...cant describe how happy i was when i sat in front of tv on time...love the intro but the bloodhound gang is the best part.
The sad thing is that there's no way these kids would hang out together in real life.
I so agree.
I remember Lamb Chop's Play Along, Barney and friends, (older) Sesame Street, Square One, Reading Rainbow, 3-2-1 Contact, Shinning Time Station, Wild America and Nature.
But let's not forget about the old Disney shorts along with Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Bonkers, Aladdin, Timon and Pumbaa, The Little Mermaid and Gargoyles.
You sound like a 90s kid
dayummm. i miss these dayz.. a kid. no bills. over to my grandmother house evaday watching this while enjoying my grandmother southern home cooking. i wanna go back. i undastan that dred scott song now.
OMG I totally remember this episode!
So much has this band changed.
This damn episode traumatized me as a child!!! hahaha I absolutely love it though :3
wow gotta be 20 years since i last saw this, and i still remember it
When I was a kid, I always thought the girl sang the theme song.
The guy in the beret looks like Clancy Brown's dad.
Yes the memories. Use to watch this with a bowl of cereal and 1 of my childhood friends back in the day. Rembrandt from the warriors.
thats too bad sorry to here this brings back memories... we need more programming like this today...
What is too bad to hear?
The guy in the beret was a Canadian actor who was in David Cronenberg's first two movies! Peace.
How this brings back fond memories...I always thought the black girl was beautiful, love those pigtails!
I was in preschool/kindergarten when this was on. Strangely, I don't remember this skit, but I remember the theme song!
it's also called a camera obscura, and sometimes a real glass lens is used. classical artists from in the late 19th century used it.
I a crying here. So many memories in these PBS and Disney classic shows.
YES!! Wasn't that the episode that had something to do with pheromones and moths? Great episode!
OMG I actually remember this episode!
@aquarius7384 - I believe his name was Ricardo in the show. His real name is Marcelino Sanchez and played Rembrandt in the film, The Warriors. And I had no idea he died at age 28.
poor Marcelino Sanchez( the one with the fro) He was also Rembrandt in the warriors an 80's movie and he died of AIDS when he was 28.... He was so nice....
OMG 321 contact!!! lol i cant believe this...damn those ponytails are high! lol
I used to watch this show all the time. lol
I haven't heard that theme in about 28 years.
tune in tomorrow?? what kinda foolishness 😁
The kid uses the sunlight to make a pinhole camera, but when it shows the thugs driving around the airport, it's raining. Despite this inaccuracy, I was damn glad to come across the Bloodhound Gang.
This theme is pure gold, especially since bar 4 is in 3/4!
this is an old show remember watching when I was a kid
LOVED the Bloodhound Gang...
Notice the guy carrying the radio...this was before the walkman was invented.
I miss this :3
not sure what happened to skip, but Vicki went on to make some appearances on tv with the Cosby show and on law and order. Ricardo might be well known for his role as "Rembrant" in the Warriors movie, but sadly he died in 1986 of AIDS related cancer.
thank you!!!
good classical t v shows from the good old days ^_^ ! ! ! ! !
When the band Bloodhound Gang 1st started to be known, I was like, "what, those kids from 3-2-1 Contact?!" LOL Glad to see the original Bloodhound Gang! :D
"Looks like the airport, alright! TERRIFIC!"
Next line should've been:
"Now if only cellular phone technology was available to the public in this day and age."
Hey good score on finding these where did you get em?? i have't seen this in years. used to rush home from school to watch this show!
Yeah that's him ..."The chicks are packed!!! The chicks are packed!!". lol listen to the sound effect at 1:17.
wow, this theme song still sticks in my head 30 something years after...is this on dvd??? i liked this show it was silly but fun
Geez. This was the ONLY episode of this thing I ever saw. I tried to do the "pinwhole camera" trick everywhere I could, and of course it never came out as clear as that scene. I gave up and didn't bother watching them anymore. Man, I was a stickler kid.
You have to be in a pitch black room for it to work.
That older guy about this same time gueststarred on Sesame Street as Mr. Hooper's Brother.
o shit!!!! rembrant from the warriors! i never realized that was him on this show...damn
Found it, his name is Marcelino Sanchez, died of cancer in 86. He was a cool actor!
I thought he died of Aids?
I have always wondered that myself.
that guy is on this movie called the warriors
yea The Bloodhound Gang is in my top 5 bands
I'm so making a pin hole camera if I ever get kidnapped.
yes but science. Does it really work? I want to try it too. DOes anyone here know if it does?
@@haggardcoop8003 It will work but the room you are in has to be completely dark
yeah, i remember this theme song too! As a kid, I always thought it was a guy singing, but it's actually a woman =)
WOW MAJOR DEJA VUE THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!
Holy crap I was just saying the same thing to a friend over the weekend! After googling "palabra jot" I found out the info! It's from The Write Channel, a show on PBS with a bug who was a reporter or something.
@DanteModaffariThanks " I was friends with Marcelino during the last five years of his life, from 1981-1986, he was certainly one of the kindest and best people I have known...I kept in touch with him via phone and letters; visited him in Los Angeles twice, in 1982 & 1983. I have lots of great memories about him and about our friendship...tell me what you'd like to know and I will answer it if I can. Most important: thank you for remembering him and for being his fan!" this was by UnlceNathan
Did he leave any children? Siblings?
I loved them!!!!!
usa4mod ...
How can you not even know what something is, but pass judgement on it anyway?
Brings back memories....
I'd rather have seen a revival of the Bloodhound Gang than the on-going revival of the now overexposed Scooby-Doo.
