Have never cooked lentils before but my ex wife used to do this sometimes and they were lovely in stews and soups. I shall try cooking them in a butter chicken sauce along with some small pieces of chicken - thanks for the heads up!!

I know - I’ve seen it both ways. But I saw more sources saying it was fine to add at the beginning. Lentils are so small that I’m not sure it makes a noticeable difference in texture.

I bought a mixed bag of lentils - no black ones in there, but every other color, so what do I do? Ha ha..... Well, I guess I could just throw them in the pot and say.... "Whatever will be will be!" Lol.... Cheers!

Hey James, have you ever read Psalm 104:15? I guess old King David shouldn't have wrote in the bible that wine cheered him up when he was down. Yes, it can be abused, but in moderation it's a gift from God. Psalm 104: 15 "And wine, which makes a human heart cheerful, So that he makes his face gleam with oil."
