Finally a version of this song that's not on a shaky cellphone! I swear if I saw him sing this irl I'd be a puddle on the floor. That tone is something else
@@KirstenD2 One day, I can dream! I've been to one live show and got to see she used to be mine, the soft gasp from the audience (and me) at that first piano chord will stay with me forever.
He’s got the years that make the great vocals best, and now he will BE Jean Valjean and he’s going to make Colm so happy to see it in his capable, electrifying voice. Now we can all have decades to watch him. Such a gift he’s been given.
This is perfect. Finally someone who play other emotions in this song than "oh please let him live God, I´m begging you", but a realistic layering of emotions. Anger and fear and desperation. I feel like this song is used to flex a lot, and the vocals are more important to a lot of people than the emotions. But when you have perfect vocals - like he has - you can just concentrate on every little emotional detial
Oh my word. I never knew I wanted to see Jeremy as Jean Valjean until this performance! Gave me goose bumps! Although, I’d listen to Jeremy sing the phone book, I think he was born for this role, just as he was born to play Jack Kelly! ❤❤❤
I saw him sing this in an earlier performance. Damn! I didn't think he could get any better but he did! Just give this guy a Tony already! What does he have to do to get one!!! He is the best out there!
Les Miserables is my absolute favorite musical and has been since I first heard the great Colm Wilkinson perform this song. With that said, I can honestly say that until hearing you sing this, I never thought anyone would move me as much as Colm did. Well done Jeremy. You made me cry. 😭😍❤️
I swear to god I could listen to this man sing the phone book and be totally enthralled. He is just absolutely amazing and absolutely gorgeous as well!
Shivers down my spine! That was incredible. Never thought I’d see a version as good as Colm Wilkinson’s but this certainly comes close if not surpasses it
Please please please add that music montage he did of the “older Broadway songs”. I must have cried five times during that medley alone. Would love to see it on here.
Oh goodie, he's outgrown his checkered shirt phase 😂. Kidding aside, as always superb. I've seen him sing this song live thrice. At Rahway, NJ in Jan 2019, New Haven, CT in Jun 2023, and at Provincetown, MA in Aug 2023. If only I took the Broadway cruise! About this non-mic rendition of the song. I get it about relying on the natural acoustics without amplification and other sound effects. But I wonder how this would come across if mic-ed like the other songs in the show. Can still be subtle and dramatic but a bit more audible and impactful (at least during the live shows. My seats weren't in front rows and sound gets drowned out at the back.
Tremendous vocals, but something was missing for me. Maybe it’s his age, and he has difficulty grasping the emotion of the piece? There’s sort of this anger that just doesn’t suit the song. I mean, it’s supposed to be a prayer. Obviously it should to be intense, but still full of humility. That’s just my opinion. I could be biased from listening to this show for 25 years. Still, I’d love to hear more from him!
I don't think he hat the right acting choices in this song but hey he always hits the notes lol He could use some directiom on it idk how i feel about him ever being JV. Maybe a badass Marious or his buddy for sure
Even though Jeremy Jordan didn’t play the flash to my knowledge, Grant Gustin who I know played the Flash for CW can also sing and is actually making his broadway debut this year. My current vocal teacher taught him at Elon University and said his voice is great! I’m excited to see how he fairs on the big stage.
I'm a huge fan of Jeremy Jordan. No doubt, the man has been gifted with an amazing instrument, and he knows how to use it. But, I'm not really big on this performance. The first verse is a bit rough in spots. The remainder of the vocal was stunning (when isn't it with this guy? Lol), but for me, the interpretation, was off.
Super talented, but no. He seems like he wants to wail the whole song and keeps getting stuck somewhere in the middle. This piece requires an immense amount of finesse with small bursts of still controlled power. Soon, but not yet.
There is literally no better voice than Jeremy Jordan. What a gift he is to all of us.

I've seen him sing this live, can confirm it's everything you'd expect and more 💖

@@Lorqu1n he's magical ✨️✨️
IKR! The way he interpreted was like how Valjean would be feeling. I’d be a mess if I saw/heard him singing this in person.

yeah, ramin already did that darling

His range is astounding, his lung capacity is mind blowing! Seeing him later today at the Westside Theater, and I cannot wait to hear him live!

I actually don't think the role of Jack was perfect for him, he just pulled off that role with his amazing skill and talent
I saw him sing this in an earlier performance. Damn! I didn't think he could get any better but he did! Just give this guy a Tony already! What does he have to do to get one!!! He is the best out there!
Saw him sing this in London, I can't remember if it was with the piano, but it was definitely without the mic... absolutely stunning 🫠
I saw Jeremy do this last night in Orem Utah with a full orchestra and it was AMAZING. I can totally see him as Jean Valjean.
I was there too. AMAZING!

Chills and goosebumps. He feels everything he sings and drags you into the song with him 🥰
Jeremy is truly a beautiful and expressive singer. I love him.
I'm speachless!!!!! Jeremy slaying legit vocals like eating breakfast 😍😍😯😯

He’s ready to do Valjean…what maturity in his majestic voice. Le Mis is his now.😊
Yet another example of how outworldly Jeremy is :D
I love him SO much !
🤩 Jeremy, is there anything you can't sing perfectly?!?!
Loved you as Seymour, looking forward to seeing you sing again next month!
What an instrument he has been gifted with!
Just an astounding performance, really spoke to me.
No your crying. It’s dust in my eyes 🥲 Jeremy that was magical

Sorry, is he doing that without a microphone?
wow

Holy Hufflepuff! I had no idea Barry Allen had PIPES!!! 😯😲😮🤯 Mind. BLOWN.

There just is none better than JJ.
I agree amazing performance... but it doesn't look like he believes someone will help.. seems a cry to emptiness
Who made the idiotic decision to keep the microphone that far away?
So good , but doing too much
