Yeah looking back on it, it wasnt smart. Sometimes you just get in the zone and the thrill just feeds your soul. Until you crash and it brings you back to reality haha
Just discovered your channel while researching a future UTV trip on the IBDR. What an outstanding job you've done producing these first two videos of your adventure! I was actually pausing the video to work with my GPS to find locations and make waypoints for things I had seen in your trip. Definitely going to have to stay at that beach camp on the Salmon river!! Truly looking forward to seeing Part 3 of your adventure.
So many familiar sights and I'm only halfway through the video. Pretty sure I ate breakfast one morning right where you guys camped on the river. I also took the Lick Creek detour around snow on Elk Summit. Left Yellow Pine about 4:30am so half of that was done at night, which made it even more fun. I'll have to finish watching tomorrow.
Great video!! I had a fall similar to yours at 27:30 and separated my shoulder I Kept on riding, but it sure took a while to heal. Glad you were ok.... :)
Good call on Elk summit, I went through there around July 21st and there was still a huge snow bank towards the top. Although the route yall took look freakin sweet! We called that forested section the "forest of doom". We hit it when it was raining, and my Dad was following me in a 2018 Tacoma...lol
Wow! I am watching this in 2022 and really loving what I see so far. Also sad about all that forest loss due to fire. When did that fire happen? The scenery would have been even better with all that green that's missing.

The cost of the trip other than the bike and gear is very cheap. We camped the whole time except for the first and last nights and besides that all the camping was free. Food and fuel are the only real cost and that is a small expense as well. It can be done very cheap, or you can spend more, just depends on your budget, but $300 would do just about everything you need
Awesome ride. I love Idaho. Wife and I aren’t far from retiring. We may spend our summers there. My nephew and I are doing the TAT this summer. When we leave Oregon and head back to NC we’re going to do a section or two of the IDBDR. Looking forward to watching the rest of your trip.
