I have a vintage pair of Hondos, probably from the very beginning of the brand. They’re great! Calfskin, I think, not bullhide, but still absolutely solid.

These appear to be a great value. I have a pair of bull hide boots from JW Boot. Very durable. Had a half sole done on them last winter. I might have to order a pair of these Hondos.
Thanks for the content I found a pair similar for $160 my first pair of narrow width and not square toe all black didn't think Hondos can endure that much use I basically had planned to wear them as a dress boots now you hve given more ideas to get more use out of my cowboy boots currently at 7 different pairs in my journey of 9mths no more laces for me. I'm still curious about rotation of boots are not cheap $1400 on seven different pairs of cowboy boots to find what's me in my journey has been fun. I get alot of questions an of course being able to tell people about your channel makes me feel good that i can refer someone in the right direction Thanks for the content 😊
Hondo, Tecovas and Double-H tend to be my favorite boots. Although, Double-H was making a lot of stuff in China for a while there. That was terrible. Glad they ain't doing that anymore
From a boot store owner it was devastating when double H went over seas. Even though they eventually left China its done permanent damage to their reputation in this area.

Mini Horses are so cool….It took me a bit to come around to the square toe but I have to say at my Age the square toe is more comfortable.

If you live in a wet / snowy climate it helps to treat your leather boots with wax. It helps keep out the water and protect the leather.

Will the Hondo 8555 come in women sizes? Specifically women size 6 or around that.
It sure does. Ask your favorite western store to submit your order and allow 3-4 months for delivery.
Never had a pair of Hondos.
Do you know if they have a lower or higher vamp? I need a low vamp, otherwise my foot slides all over the place.
What you need there is probably a narrow width like a B width, just like Jeremiah’s pair
I own 3 pair and they have a tighter instep then say a Tony Lama or a Dan Post.
