The steps are introducing me to a new freedom in service to help the alcoholic to a spiritual experience and recovery begins.

Your parents didn't make you an alcoholic. Your home life can make up act out, but unless you drink alcohol you can not be an alcoholic. An allergy of the body, obsession of the mind.
