Yep, UA-cam Compressor sounds great!
That Barber Tone Press sounds as good as both Cali's to my ears. And all three of those sound better to me than the rest.
You guys are out of your minds. The Cali especially the big one destroys that pedal.

I think Tone press wins for me in $-quality.
Have the chance to get a SP for the same price, but the noise was quite noticeable.

data compression could be affect the audio quality but in term of loundness and high frequency roll off ( If playback in 360P)
but not affect the compressor characteristic
Think an empty box of eggs, with in/out jacks and a low-value resistor between gives the same. As swardmusic suggests, youbute audio-compression defeats the comparison.
Favorite is between MXR and Compact but the noise level on compact makes me believe the level was higher or the compression was more and output was more….: anyone care to chime in? Thx
Diamond is the best shapes the tone with out squashing
Which one introduces the Most Noise to your signal? I have heard that the Cali is on the Noisier-side from quite-a few people. I tend to like Diamond & Barber. 2 Super UnderRated companies that make High Quality Pedals.

The SP is amazing. The video doesn't really do it justice. Easily can compete with the Cali76 for less than half the cost.
agreed - I think the XOTIC gives the guitar tone an extra squash umph that sounds great.
What patch cables do you use?

I guess just get the cheapest or smallest one. They all sound the same to me.

Couple notes/observations....
The dyna comp doesn’t sound as squishy and “effected” as you’d think in this company
Analogman, sp and empress have my favorite tonal profile. Nice and chewy but not overwhelming...
The Cali models are the most practical for someone like me, though. They sound the least altered (especially the early unit, as much as it pains me to admit it). But you NEED A SWITCHER to get the most out of that pedal. I have three or four patches with my compact deluxe and I keep it in different positions depending on the chain. It sounds great behind a dotted echo....really keeps everything glued. Paired with a tube screamer or king of tone, it sounds nice out front or afterward for a more studio style control. Oddly, I’ve found that the nobels odr likes to come before the Cali. It’s the only drive on my board that sounds significantly “better” stacked in that direction.
The Cali is a pedal for people who truly appreciate compression for all of its uses. Also, for people like me who believe that the 1176 is arguably the most musical sounding compression circuit ever devised. But if you just like the character or the control...the analogman or honestly, even the dynacomp is really all you need.

You have the squash too high on the MXR it should be sound around 9 or 10 o'clock and also at the very least use the script Hand Wired Reissue when you are going up against something as high end as the Cali 76 and Analogman. Not a fair comparison. That said AM and 76 are clear winners it's not even close to my ears. I do feel a 76 Reissue or original Dyna script set with the squish at 9 or 10 o'clock would have hung with those 2. Sad you didn't use the proper settings or a worthy Dyna.
What is the "Squash"? I don't see any knob labeled that. Also what makes the old script logo Dyna comp so much better?
I have to agree with White Wizard LLC. I have both the Script Dynacomp and the Cali 76. Both sound great in their own way -better than the rest imo.
The Cali76 is pristine and offers a lot of control while sounding natural. The Script Dynacomp is way less versatile but it's super easy to get a fantastic sound. It also reacts to my playing in an ideal way and just sounds "right" both while playing by myself or with a band. The Cali76 didn't have quite the same character in a live band setting, still a great pedal though. I also have a Rothwell Lovesqueeze pedal that sounds almost completely transparent though not as much as the Cali76 does in certain settings.
To me, the Script Dynacomp is WAY more musical than the regular Dynacomp -they're not even in the same league imo. I AB'd the two recently in a Sam Ash and couldn't believe the difference. I walked out with the Script and am considering selling both the Lovesqueeze and Cali76. Again, both of those are great pedals, but the Script just sounds right and interacts with the player in a way that's definitive for me, and, easily making up my mind between two great pieces of gear is not a quality of mine -I downright suck at it. ;)
I agree , and own both . They are both good compressors. I owned the Analog man Bi Comp 1st . I have a cali 76 stacked...... I think the Cali 76 Stacked is in a little higher class than the analog man Bi Comp. If I had to sell one the Analog man would go . GREAT comp though ...... The Cali is a new world.
Dynacomp is no comparison to the Cali76 IMHO
Dynacomp and cali76 almost the same sound, incredible!!
Output levels on Diamond and SP are lower than the rest; the very two pedals I'm looking at. Can't get an accurate perception when you can't really hear what the pedal is doing. So far every compressor shootout is clean/weird ambient/safe/country sounds.. no rock!
