I feel like I watched an hour long guide that was somehow perfectly condensed into less than 15 minutes. I was considering switching to LS but wasnt sure if I could afford the switch, this guide makes me confident it can be done. I've pushed a modified splitting steel champ guide into a splitting steel slayer thats capable of anything except the harder uber bosses and I feel like why not try out this build.
Honestly love this guide. Popping off on my character. Only thing you rly should have mentioned is you need t1 suppression on all your pieces of gear, overcapped suppression, to get ele ailment avoid capped. I took a suppression node on the passive tree in the meantime because spending 10d+ or more for high suppression gear isn't worth. But this is a small problem. Ty for the awesome guide brotha.
Thank you for a very clear and well explained build guide. Replicating your Banished Blade trade search (Saturday Aug 31) however, the cheapest is 125 divine even if you lower the Ele DPS. The 30-50div you suggested in the guide may have been true when you put the guide together, but I dont think it is now.
@@soropoe I was not searching with enchant initially. Repeating the search again without enchants (Saturday Aug 31st 2100 UK time), the cheapest banished blade listed with Ele DPS above 1000 is 150 divines. You have to drop the dps to below 800 to see anything listed below 100 divines.
@@soropoe So Rakiata's Dance has crit chance of 5%, attack speed 1.5%, ele dps a bit over 800. If that is setting a lower bound on Banished Blades that is helpful. My confusion came from not realising that when you said lower ele dps you meant attack speed and crit chance could be lowered as well.
Also, if you instead of the additional ele damage enchant do proj return, and swap to a molten strike of zenith setup, you pretty much tripple your boss damage. Sucks for mapping though, just a tip😅
I'm lvl 96 with this build with my gears basically matching Soro's pob. Don't expect the build to be super tanky, but it does kill things super fast. As long as you know how to dodge things, you shouldn't die so much, hence why I think Soro is mentioning "skill issues". This build is sufficient to kill most bosses, and it will allow me to build up currency to gear up with t0 priced gears.
Volcanic FoS have more dps and more tankines in juggernaut and volcanic FoS it’s like power siphon but melee)stay and hold one button clean all screens, not like LS, but nice guide good job 👍
Okay after playing it for a while I gotta say, it's nothing particularly strong for the budget. It's just a solid skeleton to be carried by the Headhunter, cause if you get enough + soul eater, sure it's a beast with insane dmg and amphetamine speed, but makes it very incosistent before you get enough stacks, or you don't get any good mods - leech is a nice defense, but has holes and you will just die randomly. Movement speed is very low, and leap slamming without stacks is slower and more clunky than frostblinking (wintry blast) with nice cast speed. Also resistances without HH stacks are tight, so dying with some -res eater altars will put you in a vicious cycle of quick deaths. I'd say Ice Nova Hiero is generally better and playstyle is not much different, just comfier, so if anyone like me (or someone else in the comments) considers switching from Hiero to this, I'd advise you not. Pour more currency into Ice Nova or find a build that is more different to change things up. I don't want to cast shade on Soro, his vids are great, everything in the guide is excellently explained and I'm sure he's having fun with this build, I'm just a bit disappointed (and I played LS a couple times before melee rework) with how the build turned out, I'm pretty sure I didn't mess up HARD in the gearing although maybe I did. Part of my disappointment is that I'm just not super fond of Headhunter playstyle, but I switched to Mageblood for a second and it wasn't awesome either. If anyone does however want to do this build and you don't have a Slayer levelled up already, for leveling in maps I'd recommend getting a wand with "no soul gain prevention" runesmith enchant and a Squire, and just blast breaches spamming Vaal Lightning Strike. I hit lvl 95 at around 9hours play time (and I'm not the best at speeding through campaign and leveling). It's super fun, although it will cut your GPU lifespan in half.
the build is not that good, because it is relying on leech to stay alive, where in the other ls variants, that is not the case, yeah it does alot of dmg, more than i do right now, however, i went from 110k ehp ( i had more than he had in the vid lol ) to more than 1m and around 700k without any buffs, that is a massive difference. i love it in maps like timeless conflict or breachstones though
wish you were right.. but Secrets of Suffering -> Cannot freeze, shock or ignite.. so chance to ignite from taming and the tattoo wont work.. here is the line from wiki -> Upon taking it, the character will be unable to directly Ignite, Chill, Freeze or Shock enemies
This guide is INSANE, finally some guide that highlights a important stats to look for on this build, however im playing LS of arcing deadeye is this build possible on deadeye also (dont want to lvl character)
I got pretty much the same setup for ~300div and I will repeat what someone else said here in the comments - it's a "sweaty palms" build. Even with multiple HH stacks you will get one tapped frequently, mostly from environmental hazards (degen pools, exploding orbs, etc.). It's not that great for bossing either, because many bosses have multiple phases leaving you with basically no defences during the time when you cannot leech. If it had enough damage to phase skip some bosses that would make it more uber-viable. I personally switched from a Lacerate gladiator and while I can say that this LS slayer it indeed is faster, it just can't run as many T17 or altar mods as my gladiator even with all the HH stacks.
facts, i tried the build a week or two ago and had to switch to a claw and svalinn for survivability while also sacrificing a lot of the damage unfortunately. im new so its easy to convince me of "best build of 3.25" but i feel overall better on my claw svalinn LS slayer than with the two handed sword setup
pob notes mentions MS swap for bossing if you are running ubers than ms zenith swap will oneshot/phase all of them the LS can do ubers, but is better for mapping where as if you want to run ubers then use MS o Zenith This is more of a hybrid style imo with the advantages of the strong Jugg build and flexibility of the LS build. The jugg ms can't really map as fast as LS, but can boss/tank much better
I do want to play this slayers LS build with with a Svalinn, since I want to experience it before it's probable nerf next league 😅 I see you advocated to use it during leveling if you have some issues, but is it also viable to use late game?
Question for anyone who built this: I don't usually play melee builds, normally do a caster / summoner, what would be the best way to complete the campaign with a Dualist? Skills, tips, etc?
I have a Question, First of all thanks for this Guide! What If you craft returning projectiles on the sword and replace the returning projectiles gem with an awakened elemental damage Support? Wouldn't this Help Out for mapping because you don't have the reduced returning DMG and your elemental DMG can't be reflected. Instead for absolute late Game you could use the elemental damage craft and use a nimis instead of one of the taming's so you have the returning projectiles without DMG reduction, No elemental reflect and a huge amount of extra elemental damage
If you use the recombinator to make the two hand sword, you save a lot. I made it in less than 20D, and apparently people are selling something similar for +150D.
Hello. Wery well made guide and good simple build. Thank you for your hard work. I want to ask just 1 thing - I can't image how did you get it to 100% crit. My tooltip shows 68-69% with insp. stacks and flasks. I know it doesn't show bleed crit and my sword has 8.12% crit chance but it can't be like 30% difference between your build and mine. I need help. Ty
Thank you for the excellent guide ! Quick question, how do you get to 200+ strength with that setup ? I can't get past 160 myself so my life is not at the level yours is and I don't see enough strength in the items and in the passive skill tree to get past that.
Progenesis helps significantly. I also decided to put on a but more armor than what Soro's pob suggested, sacrifiting evasion and energy shield and that helps me not get randomly one shot.
i highly recommend playing with headhunter. but if you are farming ubers, just use a 3 flask mageblood with each flask having 70 + 25% increased effect
What type of stats are we trying to use for our progenesis btw? Like minimums, I'm uncertain since we have such specific flask charge gain mechanics. Trying to save some currency on a budget but that dmg reduction is quite impressive! Also your build is wonderful, thank you very much!
@SORO Im struggling with survivability on this build, got my Progenesis flask and HH yet I die in tier 16 maps very easily. How can I boost my defences to be more tanky? Build feels great just dying from the smallest things isn't fun.
check updated description and notes section of pob. there are a lot of reasons your buildsdie.. check what exactly is killing your build. personally im loving it, but some are not. could be a lot of reasons from skill issue, to small things like not capping elemental res, and even from not hitting monsters consistently which is mostly because you are wasting time in maps or rolling maps with low pack size.. In POE, every build has its ups and downs depending on the budget you are investing into the build.. If you have currency buy a mirror tier claw and a svalinn shield.. cant say anymore cuz i still dont understand why some people are complaining.. im done with sharing build guides on this channel.
Sacrifice a bit of evasion to give more armor. I "accidentally" have a bit of energy shield, but i really should replace that with armor too. This and a bit of old school micro to dodge projectiles helps me.
@soropoe sad to see this response. I've been hoping you could follow up on this build to give us a more expensive update at some point, since by now everyone has more currency. Really loving this build btw. This build helped me get truly deep into the endgame for the first time, kill bunch of bosses and get all 4 voidstones. Loving all your other content too brother. I just recently found this, but unfortunately, a bit too late. I started with another guide...I spent too much (for now) on the shield/claw route, would this pob still work for it just swapping it from sword nodes?
Sure it does. He's using interrogation jewel. So chill doesn't work from the yoke BUT chill comes from external source, not you, from sitter bots. So it should work
This gentlemen is correct, Skitterbots' applied chill and shock do not credit the source as if from the exile. Thus, they do not benefit from the Yolk-requirement of the exile applying them. That being said, this build is still applying 3 debuffs that do work, and 30% increased damage taken is solid 🤷♂️
Loving this build but i am super confused on how you are getting scorched, brittle, and sap on your POB. I have every similar items, main difference being the gems and also my brandishing blade isn't like perfect mirror quality, but I have followed everything else really closely and I can't get it to show into POB without forcing it which makes me believe I am not getting those ailments. I am a new player so I have no clue how you are getting them in this build so I can't compare it to mine and see why Im missing it. Any tips? Awesome guide really helped me relearn the game :)
@@lousycat9720 I have been pobbing each upgrade and stuff as much as I can. The configuration menu of POB is a nightmare and for new players it's over whelming. That is a very small detail in the guide and the fact PoB by default doesn't want you to mark sapped/scorched/brittle makes people believe they aren't doing it properly lol.
HH isn't super necessary. You can get a belt with a socket with whatever mod you need e.g., res, life, offensive mods. I ran that setup until I could save for HH earlier on. Progenesis helps, but it's not a must.
what components of the build make the lightning strike have more than 4 projectiles? mine has 4 but im not done with the build yet EDIT: i figured out what causes the 5 projectiles. you need a high quality vaal lightning strike in combination with the multishot passive. i was using a 0 quality one for a while and wondering why i had 4 projectiles but then looked into quality on everything today and thats what it was although im not sure what quality it needs to be i just bought a max (23) quality vaal ls
Hello there! I'm new to the game starting from Affliction and am wondering if the annoints/harvest/unveil are things I can trade for at least a little bit? I am still learning (though have reached about T13 maps with some early on stuff and got lucky with the Kalguur ships such that I have around 85 div to spend), and am generally curious about whether you think this is a realistic build to attempt without a substantial amount of knowledge of the game? why i only have 4 projectiles ? got every single piece of gear jewels and everything, lvl 85 but dont see anything else in the passive tree that would give me one more, might be missing something

brother, buy fractured t1 or fractured essence ele dam, deafening fire, cold, or lightning dam until t1 of the other ele dam, and you choose how to finish suffixes. Can do 3 crafted mods or try your luck with veiled craft
i have been using arn's anguish for the belt, do you think it could be better then HH for damage? And are swords always better then sword if im using svalinn shield?
Step 1 - Buy a fractured ele damage base Step 2 - Essence spam until triple ele damage (using an essence of one of the other two ele damage types) Step 3 - craft Prefixes Cannot be Changed, reforge speed (could also do a harvest remove Aug speed i think but thats more costly) Step 4 - if suffixes are clean, craft Up to 3 Crafted Mods + Prefixes Cannot be Changed and use a veiled orb, hoping to hit one of the crafted mods. Step 5 - craft a block (I used dmg per endurance charge) and unveil (good unveils are double damage double dmg while focused, and stats + crit) Step 6 - craft the final mod at the bench

why does the build use bases for the non unique pieces that are lower than the highest stat for each slot i was comparing them and saw that the explicits implicits and prefixs are the same so is there something special about these base types or would it be better to just use the highest stat base that we can build on

I re-rolled in to this after trying zerker slam as my league starter, and then trying hexblast trickster, then re-rolling into LS trickster. None of them were checking all of the boxes for me, but this build here has been amazing. Did Uber Maven and Uber Sirus last night first try, and been blasting T17’s and also farmed to level 99. It’s been soooooo smooth, and is a ton of fun to play. Well done, sir!
Maybe I missed this in the video, but how come are you not taking the "Non-vaal Strike skills target 1 additional enemy"? I know it's on the gloves too, but isn't it still a huge damage boost? BTW I started leveling LS Slayer today and only saw your video at like level 50 and got sad because the prices for gear will be crazy for a few days... but at least I have a very nice hand-holdy guide ^^

I had this mana problem too. The way i solved it was realising you gotta keep precision at level 2. as long as you have all mana reservation buffs and enlighten is max level (Just buy one) you should be around 60 - 70 mana. Alao to solve chaos res i have helm and body armor with essence rerolling. you should be around 70% with progenesis up
Hey Man, do you have a crafting Guide for the Banishing Blade? the 30-50div Blade for it seems to have risen up to 200+ div recently. The Base is around 50-80c, can you tell me how many divs or which craft Materials i need to craft this myself? It feels like crafting it is cheaper then buying for 200+ div.
you could try fracturing a base with a T1 fire/cold/lighting, then use essences to get the other 2 T1 prefixes.. you could multimod the suffixes with 2 crafted mods, or go with prefixes cannot be changed then veiled orb.. its a long process.. i stopped crafting ever since my RNG got very unlucky
im trying to do your build but i cant use 4 auras at once, i got enlighten 3lvl, well added skills in tree and 100% copied your eq idkn how to do that, precision is lvl1 but the problem is not with precision but with 3 at once grace skitterbolts and anger shoould i have this 3 auras at first lvl too?
Did you copy all the mana reservation mods? I follow this build exactly and i have no problem with auras. I only have like 50 mana to use but it's still non-zero.
looks like an interesting build, but from what i see its a pure glass cannon, i cant see any defense besire 100% suppression. am i right, that it lives only because of Leech or do i just overlook something

I personally switched from a Lacerate gladiator and while I can say that this LS slayer it indeed is faster, it just can't run as many T17 or altar mods as my gladiator even with all the HH stacks.
facts, i tried the build a week or two ago and had to switch to a claw and svalinn for survivability while also sacrificing a lot of the damage unfortunately. im new so its easy to convince me of "best build of 3.25" but i feel overall better on my claw svalinn LS slayer than with the two handed sword setup
pob notes mentions MS swap for bossing
if you are running ubers than ms zenith swap will oneshot/phase all of them
the LS can do ubers, but is better for mapping where as if you want to run ubers then use MS o Zenith
This is more of a hybrid style imo with the advantages of the strong Jugg build and flexibility of the LS build.
The jugg ms can't really map as fast as LS, but can boss/tank much better
I do want to play this slayers LS build with with a Svalinn, since I want to experience it before it's probable nerf next league 😅
I see you advocated to use it during leveling if you have some issues, but is it also viable to use late game?

I have a Question, First of all thanks for this Guide! What If you craft returning projectiles on the sword and replace the returning projectiles gem with an awakened elemental damage Support? Wouldn't this Help Out for mapping because you don't have the reduced returning DMG and your elemental DMG can't be reflected. Instead for absolute late Game you could use the elemental damage craft and use a nimis instead of one of the taming's so you have the returning projectiles without DMG reduction, No elemental reflect and a huge amount of extra elemental damage

Follow a recombinator crafting guide. I made one in i think less than 20D, and it can be valued at over 150.
So how expensive should this build be overall? I went into this thinking 200d should easily cover it but its looking more expensive than that lol
If you use the recombinator to make the two hand sword, you save a lot. I made it in less than 20D, and apparently people are selling something similar for +150D.

Hello. Wery well made guide and good simple build. Thank you for your hard work. I want to ask just 1 thing - I can't image how did you get it to 100% crit. My tooltip shows 68-69% with insp. stacks and flasks. I know it doesn't show bleed crit and my sword has 8.12% crit chance but it can't be like 30% difference between your build and mine. Quick question, how do you get to 200+ strength with that setup ? I can't get past 160 myself so my life is not at the level yours is and I don't see enough strength in the items and in the passive skill tree to get past that.

Progenesis helps significantly. I also decided to put on a but more armor than what Soro's pob suggested, sacrifiting evasion and energy shield and that helps me not get randomly one shot.

i highly recommend playing with headhunter. but if you are farming ubers, just use a 3 flask mageblood with each flask having 70 + 25% increased effect

@SORO Im struggling with survivability on this build, got my Progenesis flask and HH yet I die in tier 16 maps very easily. How can I boost my defences to be more tanky? Build feels great just dying from the smallest things isn't fun.
check updated description and notes section of pob. there are a lot of reasons your buildsdie.. check what exactly is killing your build. personally im loving it, but some are not. could be a lot of reasons from skill issue, to small things like not capping elemental res, and even from not hitting monsters consistently which is mostly because you are wasting time in maps or rolling maps with low pack size.. In POE, every build has its ups and downs depending on the budget you are investing into the build.. If you have currency buy a mirror tier claw and a svalinn shield.. cant say anymore cuz i still dont understand why some people are complaining.. im done with sharing build guides on this channel.

Sacrifice a bit of evasion to give more armor. I "accidentally" have a bit of energy shield, but i really should replace that with armor too. This and a bit of old school micro to dodge projectiles helps me.

I just recently found this, but unfortunately, a bit too late. I started with another guide...I spent too much (for now) on the shield/claw route, would this pob still work for it just swapping it from sword nodes?

Sure it does. He's using interrogation jewel. So chill doesn't work from the yoke BUT chill comes from external source, not you, from sitter bots. So it should work
This gentlemen is correct, Skitterbots' applied chill and shock do not credit the source as if from the exile. Thus, they do not benefit from the Yolk-requirement of the exile applying them. That being said, this build is still applying 3 debuffs that do work, and 30% increased damage taken is solid 🤷♂️
Loving this build but i am super confused on how you are getting scorched, brittle, and sap on your POB. I have every similar items, main difference being the gems and also my brandishing blade isn't like perfect mirror quality, but I have followed everything else really closely and I can't get it to show into POB without forcing it which makes me believe I am not getting those ailments. I am a new player so I have no clue how you are getting them in this build so I can't compare it to mine and see why Im missing it. Any tips? Awesome guide really helped me relearn the game :)

@@lousycat9720 I have been pobbing each upgrade and stuff as much as I can. The configuration menu of POB is a nightmare and for new players it's over whelming. That is a very small detail in the guide and the fact PoB by default doesn't want you to mark sapped/scorched/brittle makes people believe they aren't doing it properly lol.

HH isn't super necessary. You can get a belt with a socket with whatever mod you need e.g., res, life, offensive mods. I ran that setup until I could save for HH earlier on.
Progenesis helps, but it's not a must.

what components of the build make the lightning strike have more than 4 projectiles? mine has 4 but im not done with the build yet
EDIT: i figured out what causes the 5 projectiles. you need a high quality vaal lightning strike in combination with the multishot passive. i was using a 0 quality one for a while and wondering why i had 4 projectiles but then looked into quality on everything today and thats what it was although im not sure what quality it needs to be i just bought a max (23) quality vaal ls

Hello there! I'm new to the game starting from Affliction and am wondering if the annoints/harvest/unveil are things I can trade for at least a little bit? I am still learning (though have reached about T13 maps with some early on stuff and got lucky with the Kalguur ships such that I have around 85 div to spend), and am generally curious about whether you think this is a realistic build to attempt without a substantial amount of knowledge of the game? brother, buy fractured t1 or fractured essence ele dam, deafening fire, cold, or lightning dam until t1 of the other ele dam, and you choose how to finish suffixes. Can do 3 crafted mods or try your luck with veiled craft
i have been using arn's anguish for the belt, do you think it could be better then HH for damage? And are swords always better then sword if im using svalinn shield?
you can use arns anguish for uber bossing, still you loose the power of endurance charge. but please please play the build with HH.. its worth it!
Impossible to get a similar sword, it would be nice a crafting sword guide ...
Step 1 - Buy a fractured ele damage base
Step 2 - Essence spam until triple ele damage (using an essence of one of the other two ele damage types)
Step 3 - craft Prefixes Cannot be Changed, reforge speed (could also do a harvest remove Aug speed i think but thats more costly)
Step 4 - if suffixes are clean, craft Up to 3 Crafted Mods + Prefixes Cannot be Changed and use a veiled orb, hoping to hit one of the crafted mods.
Step 5 - craft a block (I used dmg per endurance charge) and unveil (good unveils are double damage double dmg while focused, and stats + crit)
Step 6 - craft the final mod at the bench

why does the build use bases for the non unique pieces that are lower than the highest stat for each slot i was comparing them and saw that the explicits implicits and prefixs are the same so is there something special about these base types or would it be better to just use the highest stat base that we can build on
Thoughts on the returning projectiles enchant vs the increased elemental damage one that you have?
the problem with that is.. returning proj damage only benefits our projectiles.. we also have melee damage.

I re-rolled in to this after trying zerker slam as my league starter, and then trying hexblast trickster, then re-rolling into LS trickster. None of them were checking all of the boxes for me, but this build here has been amazing. Did Uber Maven and Uber Sirus last night first try, and been blasting T17’s and also farmed to level 99. It’s been soooooo smooth, and is a ton of fun to play. Well done, sir!
Hi I'm using Rakiata's Dance sword and POB says it does about 5 mil more dps that a 1000 dps sword is this right?
Maybe I missed this in the video, but how come are you not taking the "Non-vaal Strike skills target 1 additional enemy"? I know it's on the gloves too, but isn't it still a huge damage boost?
BTW I started leveling LS Slayer today and only saw your video at like level 50 and got sad because the prices for gear will be crazy for a few days... but at least I have a very nice hand-holdy guide ^^

how to solve chaos res, and the mana reservation is not enough to activate all 4 of your buffs
I had this mana problem too. The way i solved it was realising you gotta keep precision at level 2. as long as you have all mana reservation buffs and enlighten is max level (Just buy one) you should be around 60 - 70 mana. Alao to solve chaos res i have helm and body armor with essence rerolling. you should be around 70% with progenesis up
Hey Man, do you have a crafting Guide for the Banishing Blade? the 30-50div Blade for it seems to have risen up to 200+ div recently. The Base is around 50-80c, can you tell me how many divs or which craft Materials i need to craft this myself? It feels like crafting it is cheaper then buying for 200+ div.
you could try fracturing a base with a T1 fire/cold/lighting, then use essences to get the other 2 T1 prefixes.. you could multimod the suffixes with 2 crafted mods, or go with prefixes cannot be changed then veiled orb.. its a long process.. i stopped crafting ever since my RNG got very unlucky

im trying to do your build but i cant use 4 auras at once, i got enlighten 3lvl, well added skills in tree and 100% copied your eq idkn how to do that, precision is lvl1 but the problem is not with precision but with 3 at once grace skitterbolts and anger shoould i have this 3 auras at first lvl too?
Did you copy all the mana reservation mods? I follow this build exactly and i have no problem with auras. I only have like 50 mana to use but it's still non-zero.
